Nice lighted hood. I had one similar to this one for several years. The lights do tend to corrode over time, if you have hard water & they get wet. I would recommend running your water a little low to avoid it splashing up on the lights. Overall, a good hood. I would probably have given it a 5 star rating, but I had to look at my old hood, (Which was already assembled when I got it.) to figure out how to put the lights in the new hood. Helpful tip: Black duck tape to cover the wires & keep them out of the water. ... show more

Is a bit flimsy. Come on guys, the lights go in easy. Fits tight, hinges are ok. Not a bad price for a clean out tank for my 75 gallon.

Hinges are a bit hard to snap on I cracked the corner a little on one side trying to attach them but they work good and lid can be easily opened if needed love the feeding hole

I have other TopFin hoods and they work really well. This one came with brackets for the back of the aquarium, but I prefer not to use those. You have to install the lights, that was a little difficult on one of them, but they are in place securely. I know the price is not the best, but if you look at other aquarium hoods with lights, they are much more expensive. I am thankful I was able to order this one as I was not able to find one alone (if I had purchased the aquarium kit, it would come with the hood) but I have all of the other equipment. Fit my 20 Long perfectly. Was out of stock whenever I placed my order but these style lids are uncommon in my area so I was willing to wait. I was afraid it might not come back into stock, but it did, and it didn't even take very long. Two weeks to a month maybe? The only thing I would say you should know about this tank lid is that the lights that come with it by default are very bright white lights. If that's what you're looking for, then great, you're all set. But personally that didn't work for the deep sea theme I wanted, so I just got some cheap color light bars of my own to attach to it and give it that nice deep blue color. Overall, it's exactly what you'd expect. A bit pricey and hard to get ahold of, but if you've got the time to wait, even if this lid is listed on Amazon as out of stock, go ahead and put your order in.
