I had to get rid of the filter because impeller would not sit right. It was very noisy. And the lid to the aquarium is warped doesn’t really fit, right

-Tetra name brand - I upgraded from the 5 gallon Tetra to this 10 gallon set - Initial impression is the filter is stronger - Construction seems fine at this point - LED lighting is bright, 3 LEDs total, so it's a lot brighter than the 5 gallon version, - Fairly easy to get going but I had to read the filter instructions a few times to get it started (it required an extra step to get running vs the old one) -So far so good after 24 hours. Will update once I have owned it for a week or two. -Amazon shipped it in an Amazon box with the Tetra box inside so there was no damage evident to me upon opening and first fill. ... show more

    • The top was so warped, that it will not sit flush on the tank
Well my daughter was very disappointed, she set up her new fish tank she conditioned the water she got everything ready put all of her plants rocks decorations etc., only to turn it on to find out that the pump doesn’t work it’s so loud it sounds like a drill. She’s only 14 so she didn’t feel like it was necessary to let me know that the top was completely warped and won’t sit flush on the top of the fish tank and we have cats. The sad part about this is, in order to replace it or get a new item we would have to empty out the tank do all of the work again, take out all of her live plants. The only other option we have is to leave her old fish in the little tank for now and hope that maybe we can get a new lid and a new pump for this tank . I am very disappointed in how this item got delivered to us… ... show more

New fish tank owner. Not sure if this is normal but glue is all over the bottom inside and out. Looks super messy and alittle worried if the cheap work will keep the water in my fish tank.

Within 12 hours of setting it up, one of my goldfish got its tail stuck in the filter and drowned.
