i wanted them to be durable enough. these are more like one weekend poles. you would have to keep buying more and more because eventually they will bend and break. them breaking out in the middle of a camping trip is the last thing you would need. at least someone is making money though.

As with most things, you need to use some common tent pole strategies when wanting to hoist something up with poles. We use this to hoist up an awning/sun shade flap that comes off of our van tent. Secure properly for extra windy days or random gusts of wind.
