An Unmissable Addition to Your Camping Gear

I recently discovered the Drymate Tent Carpet Mat, and I must say, it's a game-changer for my camping experience. If you've been camping without a carpet mat in your tent, here's why you should consider investing in this product: Pros: Waterproof Protection: The waterproof lining of the Drymate Tent Carpet Mat ensures that moisture from the ground doesn't seep into your tent. Say goodbye to waking up with damp and cold feet! Keeps You Warm: This mat adds a layer of insulation between you and the cold ground, helping retain warmth inside the tent. It enhances comfort, especially during chilly nights. Adds a Homely Touch: The carpet texture makes your tent feel more like a home, enhancing the overall comfort level. It's nice to step on something soft after a long day of hiking. Easy to Clean: Mud, dirt, and spills are inevitable while camping. Fortunately, the Drymate mat is easy to clean, making the maintenance a breeze. Versatile Sizes: Available in various sizes, you can find the perfect fit for your tent, whether you have a 2-person backpacking tent or a larger family-sized shelter. Durable Construction: Made to endure the rough conditions of outdoor use, this mat has proven to be tough and long-lasting. Cons: I can't really think of any downsides. Maybe it's worth noting that it does add a bit of weight to your pack, but the benefits far outweigh this minor inconvenience. Conclusion: The Drymate Tent Carpet Mat has transformed my camping experience, making it more comfortable and enjoyable. The waterproof protection, warmth, and homely feel it provides are unmatched. If you're looking to elevate your outdoor living space, I highly recommend this mat. Trust me; once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever camped without it! ... show more

... on my motorcycle along with the weight of a good sized tent and other gear and it was well ...
Color: Charcoal Grey Size: 7'4" x 8'4" (Rectangular)
I took this Mat on my motorcycle along with the weight of a good sized tent and other gear and it was well worth that effort of the extra weight. I attached it to the front of my large Marine backpack and used it as a back rest, so that was an added benefit. The Mat is rubberized on the back side and a “felt” like substance on the front. I have not yet had to clean the Mat off but others have stated that they use a water hose outside and it cleans up nicely. I had to cut the Mat because it was too big for my tent’s sleeping quarters and it cut nicely with an average size scissor. I plan to use the small cut off piece for outside the sleeping quarters to help with tracked in dirt when I car camp, I suspect that that piece will need cleaning more often. The Mat collects small grains of dirt and "holds" it but larger pieces easily sweep off using (in my case) a backpackers broom and dustpan. On pack-out, I folded the dirt inside the Mat and shook it out, outside the tent. This Mat gives you the utility to keep dirt off your tent floor, keep it from tracking all over the tent, added protection to the tent floor and gave the inside of the tent a very nice comfortable homey feel. If you have a pet the Mat seems to hold on to hair so it might be more difficult to remove then common dirt. I used a cot and a chair during camping and the Mat gave extra protection to the tent floor and neither cot nor chair “slipped” around. The Mat is not terrible heavy but I would not recommend carrying it on my back with the rest of my gear very far. This not being a fault of the Mat just the nature of how it is made. Delivery was very fast and cost was reasonable for the quality of the product. I have not "hosed" it down or even tried to machine wash, as I believe the instruction said I could. I highly recommend this product for camping where weight is not an issue or you are willing to carry extra. Be mindful of the possible pet hair issue. ... show more

Good investment for some comfort.
Color: Charcoal Grey Size: 5' x 6'2" (Rectangular)
One of the major issues I have with camping in the colder months of the year is that the tent's floor gets super cold, and condensation forms there. I'd seen some videos of people using carpet and other items to keep the warmth in and the inside dry. Quite by accident, I found this on Amazon, and wasn't sure what to think. I took it camping with me on my last outing, where it was cold and rainy, and I was really glad to have this. I was able to comfortably sit on the floor of my tent, without getting cold, and when I woke up in the morning, the floor of my tent was dry. The rubber backing on the matt, provides extra insulation, and is somewhat soft making it nice to walk on the floor without rocks and twigs poking my feet. I believe it helped to keep the tent warmer that night, with temperatures dropping in the 30s outside, it didn't feel quite as cold as it usually does. The mat I bought fit my four-man tent easily, though it didn't cover the bottom completely, a good thing since I didn't want it to push on the side of the tent. Overall, I was happy, and it was a no-brainer for the price. ... show more

New must-have for tent camping
Color: Charcoal Grey Size: 7'4" x 8'4" (Rectangular)
I bought this after setting up camp on rocky ground and getting sick of crawling around on the rough ground. It is absolutely worth the expense! We just got back from a two-week camping trip and this was my favorite addition to our setup. The tent floor is soft, warmer, and so much more comfortable. We moved camp three times and one of those times my husband rolled up the carpet before I'd had a chance to change clothes and pack my personal belongings and I was quite upset! The carpet is easy to sweep off - we use the same little handheld broom and dustpan we use for the tent itself. It's also easy to roll up and carry with the included straps. And after two weeks of daily use, it looks just like it did on day one. The bottom seems to be waterproof, too - somehow some water got between our tarp and the bottom of the tent, or in the tent - who knows - but we never felt it on top of the carpet. ... show more

Useful added luxury or necessity for camping
Color: Charcoal Grey Size: 7'4" x 8'4" (Rectangular)
Thankfully I got this tent carpet. Added a little bit of luxury inside the tent, but for most I believe it prevents having some moist inside the tent or under the air bed at least. It has good rubber grip underneath it so it stayed in its place 100%. Thick enough that it also added cushion inside the tent so we can walk or step with extra cushion around the inside of the tent since we have quite an extra large tent. ... show more

Makes a tent cozy at the cost of bulk and another thing to dry out

Used for the first time last week and plan to keep it in rotation for longer trips. Straps are not a long-term solution, and packing it up solo (7' 4" one) is a little difficult. Lovely to have throughout the week as someone who hangs out on the ground in a crazy creek chair before bed. The carpet fits the tent (NEMO Aurora Highrise 4) super well. The bottom of the carpet and the top of the tent floor were damp after a week that had included some rain earlier. Nothing that dried out the next day when hanging off the deck. The carpet is a little bulkier than imagined, but definitely made the tent cozier, with the ability to drop to my knees without fear. ... show more
