Features

  • 32-Bit Motherboard: The main chip is upgraded from 8-bit to 32-bit, and the printer runs more smoothly The 32-bit motherboard supports wifi and can control the printer through the Internet!
  • Print recovery:The printer can resume printing after a power outage or material supply stops to save time and consumables. You can also print with a custom height.
  • Springsteel PEI Coated Magnetic Build-plate From hundreds of hours of testing, we have determined that the most versatile, effective, and cost efficient printing surface is PEI coated springsteel plating. We have created a dual sided system to allow for smooth surface finishes or rougher textured finishes to ensure maximum adhesion. This interchangeable system allows individual users to get the perfect first layer while allowing print farms to maximize production with hot-swappable plates. Along with the new and improved build-plate, weve revamped the bed level adjustment system with finely tuned silicone spacers to allow for longer lasting bed levels and a more rigid frame.
  • [Super cooling module]: The fans of the two nozzles can be controlled independently. The side fans of the nozzles use two blower fans to dissipate heat from the print model. The front fans of the nozzles are upgraded to 5010 silent fans to increase the cooling capacity!
  • Insulated Bed (Edge to Edge) One of the biggest problems with the standard 3D printing industry and our previous TL-D3 Pro was the bed heating. Waiting for optimal build plate temperature can be the difference between a great print and a failed one. The D3 Vulcan has custom edge to edge insulation to maximize thermal efficiency, this addition reduces average heat times by up to 50%.
  • Revamped Cable Management/Strain ReliefOne of the most common issues with the TL-D3 happens during certain homing operations, the E1 or E2 cable will catch onto the rear leveling knobs and create tension on the gantry. If not corrected immediately, this can lead to damage to the cabling and even bending of the gantry lead screws. We corrected this by installing retractable cable management, relieving any strain created from cable snagging and reducing risk of accidents and malfunctions.

  • Incredible quality and versatility, best for technical users
Very happy with my Tenlog TL-D3 Pro. I feel it is the best value in 3d printing today. I'm getting gorgeous prints with no discernible z axis wobble or waving in the result, which is an engineering feat given the size of the machine. The mechanics are top notch, but this is not a printer for absolute beginners. It took me some time in tuning, which i enjoy actually. I will list some important items to help: 1) The bed leveling and extruder height alignment are well documented and easy to carry out. Note also there are two Z axis stepper motors on this Cartesian machine. These rotate freely when motors are off and might become out of sync during shipping. Use a micrometer to measure z height from the rod base to respective carriage up on threaded rod, turn one side until they match and check again. If these two Z axes are out of sync you might struggle to level the bed or get good prints. Mine were out of sync 0.5mm, a lot. 2) check all bolts, sometimes these get loose during shipping. The threaded rod carriage (bronze, back of machine) were loose. 3) I have the BMG extruders (TL-D3 Pro). These have a high gear ratio and it seems the machine configuration is setup for too few E Steps (motor steps per filament put out). Was getting underextrusion even in included gcodes. I went from 395 to 515 in the configuration and it was much improved. The preload bolts on top of the head should be about halfway in, look from the side and confirm. The spring holds both sides of the hobbed gears to the filament and must be tensioned correctly. Its a BMG thing. Check with included g codes that your prints are reasonable after this. 4) for E2, this is the height adjustable head.. you will need to install two lockbolts (in the included hardware) on the back. Loosen, move red wheel to raise or lower the head to same as E1. However, be sure to check height again after tightening both lockbolts, it can change enough after tightening to matter. Measure, adjust, move, come back, remeasure.. take your time and get it 100% right with height and bed adjustment. Will pay off almost certainly. 5) I like to be in control of slicing and I'm still using skeinforge slicer. I made a profile that works great for this machine. In doing this, i found I had to increase flow rate (even after step (3)) a whole lot more than other printers. The BMG extruder is very high torque and low geared. Flow rates need to be much higher than standard extruders. Another peculiarity is my layer heights needed to be higher than the 0.2mm I would expect from a 0.4mm nozzle. My layer height is 0.3 width is 0.35. Strange for a .4 nozzle, but it prints beautifully this way. Do some printing on your well calibrated machine, measure the printed extrusion width and height and make sure this is communicated to your slicer appropriately for optimal prints. I will add a link to skeinforge+profiles with IDEX support for those interested once it's perfect. I will try more on the included CURA 4.10 in near future. 6) Nozzle priming is an issue that can be solved. When the head is initially used, the nozzle is empty and air prints for a bit (even with included gcodes). This can be solved with tool select scripts to start extrusion earlier (priming) and retract a bit for travel. Let the included brushes do the wipe. Or another option might be using purge towers. Solvable problem and you can encounter it with any IDEX. OK hope this review helped. For power users who can spend the necessary time tuning the configuration, mechanics and slicer to fully harness this powerful machine, it is more than worth it. Thank you Tenlog for bringing these capabilities at this scale to the < $1000 market! It is well made and, if setup/used correctly, I feel will last a long time. And one gripe, bc i cant fix this: M117 gcode cmd doesn't print to console, this helps with debugging gcode sometimes, please add support to pass M117 string to the LCD! Thanks. ... show more

  • Not ready for prime time. Beware
I will start with something positive. The packaging of this printer is great. I think it would survive a plane crash. Assembly instructions are awful. I guess maybe their English is not very good. However, I’m sure better than my Chinese. The assembly was a nightmare. There is a hole in the bottom plate and two holes on each side in 2020 extrusions that cap screws have to be threaded through to attach the gantry. Yes I could have taken the bottom plate off; but why should I have to. I wonder if anyone tried to put this together without help. I finally got the gantry installed and the next problem is attaching the extruders. You have to hold the extruder with one hand and try to put a small screw into a small hole behind the belts. Not very well thought out. Finally got that done. The power cables for the extruders plug into the back and drape over the top of the gantry. I knew this before ordering, but thought I could live with it. The glass plate is held on with alligator clips. That is an old way to attach the build plate. I finally got it all assembled and started to level the extruders. I got extruder 1 leveled and started to set extruder 2. I hit the home button and the Z axis goes all the way to the top and crashes. I had to turn it off to stop it. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I promptly got the packing material and disassembled it, packed it up and arranged for UPS to pick it up. I really was hoping this was going to be a good printer. I would give this negative numbers if I could. I give it 1 for packaging. ... show more

  • i highly not recommend this printer for someone want to get first 3d printer

  • Can produce great prints, especially at this price point. But a bit of tinkering may be needed
Good packaging and very quick assembly. The noise level is low. The cooling fan on the extruder is the dominant noise. Printer only needed simple adjustment in terms of bed leveling and second extruder offset. Using videos on the Tenlog website this took 20-30 mins. The SD card came with the user manual, test models and a preconfigured Cura Slicer(only MS Windows) The printer came with two smaller roles of test PLA filament. One worked great while the other one was very brittle and snapped multiple times. ... show more
