I ordered 2 of these to use in my 25 x 10 insulated garage. I love the "milkhouse" feature that will keep the heater coming on at about 40 degrees. Both of these units work well as advertised. In fact, one of them is all I really need in there. Some reviewers have noted that the metal casing seems thin, and I'd agree, although they are still sturdy enough for my purposes. The handles are very light pressed steel, but again, good enough for my purposes. I wouldn't recommend them for a carpeted surface, but for a small utility type of space (shop, pumphouse, greenhouse) they are pretty good for the price! ... show more

I never even plugged it in. After reading about so many hazards I chose to return it. The pictures on Amazon's website shows it sitting on a rug. Instructions say and I read all of them, that it is not to be sitting on a rug, carpet or it seems like any kind of flooring. Plus there is a 3 feet clearance from anything around it. This will not work for my small apartment especially for taking the chill off the carpeted bedroom. Seems like it would only be suitable for a garage floor made of concrete. As for my solution I will be looking at a radiator. ... show more

This is the flimsiest cow heater yet. Just one grade above tinfoil. The packaging was good and sturdy, but still not enough to protect the unit. Handles were bent, one corner dashed in, front is (almost evenly) concave. A push with thumb here and there straightens it all out (to a point), its that flimsy. But the thing works. Temp. sensor, safety switch, fan only, etc. all good. I am not going to bother to ship it back, but your local store has probably a better unit for less (seen em advertised for $10 less, just too lazy to save the 5 bucks after gas money). Should have gone and looked at them… ... show more
