Recently we replaced our 10 year old Tempurpedic mattress with a new Tempurpedic Breeze. The establishment we purchased from was offering ‘free’ accessories including what was touted to be the best waterproof protective cover out there. We had our doubts since we had a Tempurpedic waterproof pad with our first mattress and it was so horrible we threw it out and used a regular pad for 10 years, praying we’d never have a problem with our dogs, etc. Well, this new pad was no different, it was like sleeping an a plastic trash bag and every time we turned it would pull away. Additionally it was masking the benefits of the mattress we paid so much for. But we had to do something to protect this new investment so after lots of research we decided to give the Tempurpedic a try again since others were saying it was vastly improved. All I can say is GET THIS PRODUCT if you need to protect your mattress! They use a different material so no more trash bag slippery clamminess, it’s soft and snug and the pressure point relief and Breeze body cooling are there and I don’t think I have ever slept so well and I am not waking up with the hip and leg pain that prompted us to get a new mattress to begin with. Knowing our investment is protected is a bonus! Couple of pieces of advice, we have the 12” depth. The pad was a bit large but after washing in warm water and low dryer it fits perfectly and there should be plenty of room for a deeper mattress. Good sleeping 😴

The Tempur-Pedic Cool Luxury Mattress Protector, King Size, is a great mattress cover and I can't do without it. It washes very well, retains it shape and no liquid messes seep through it. It is soft, good quality, and waterproof. No more worries. Highly recommend. I am going to re-order.

I bought both the cooling and non-cooling versions... I have a new tempurpedic luxe adapt mattress and my intent was to find a waterproof protector that doesn’t mess with the function of the mattress or the cooling. I’ve tried several including the saferest (cotton terry), perlux (tencel) and purple. They each had their ups and downs... the cotton terry is nice bc it keeps it from feeling overly slick vs letting the tempur top take your body in. The tencel cooled well but was very slick and has the thin plastic, crinkle sort of feel, and the purple was a terrible match to this mattress and felt like a shower curtain. The purple was very hot... followed by the saferest. The perlux tencel had nice cooling imo; no sweats. I tried the tempurpedic cooling version and the top is a nice mix of all of them; soft but not too slick. Doesn’t feel too plastic like and overall construction is a notch above the others. To my complete surprise... I actually stayed pretty cool, at least on par with the tencel if not better; but with a much better feel. It was cool to the touch like my mattress cover also. No night sweats at all, I was even cold in the morning.. In the materials tag it does in fact possess a blend of polyethylene (molecular yarn material that is claimed). I will be returning the non-cooling... the moment it showed up I read that the top material is 100% polyester; which I’m certain will sleep hot as hell. The one thing I didn’t like about all of them aside from the cotton terry typw (saferest) is the lines creating by the top creasing under your fitted sheet; they brush out easily but it is what it is. Anyway, that’s my takeaway. There doesn’t seem to be such a thing as a perfect protector. I will say though the cooling tempur is pretty good so far.

The mattress pad is very well made. Strangely it is slightly larger than I’d like for my tempurpedic mattress so it is slightly baggy and thus can wrinkle under the sheet. The top is strangely slippery so the sheets move around. I never thought this would be a problem, but it feels wierd to have the sheet slipping over the mattress pad

I purchased this mattress cover because my old one Just started falling apart from age & was no longer Doing what it was supposed to to keep my mattress safe. This one seems to fit really well on the mattress it doesn’t move around. I don’t know about the cooling aspect of it Doesn’t make you warm. It washes up well in the washing machine, good wear and tear. It’s been washed at least once a week since I received it everything is holding up.

Look, the product looks neat and doesn't seem to make me warm. This is about all we can ask of a mattress cover. To know definitively how well it is protecting my mattress, I'd need to peel this up and look at my mattress. And by then you'd need to wait until there has been some spills. Say that takes a year or two to remember to check. If you see that those few spills soaked through, you'd know enough to say "bad product" here. But let's be honest, nobody has checked the mattress to see how well it is "protecting." Nobody posting reviews, anyway. They ask for these reviews too quickly after purchase. I do, however, trust that it is protecting my mattress. I'd need to, otherwise (given the above) there would have been no need to buy one in the first place.

We bought one of the original Rhapsody mattresses years ago & finally had to admit we were no longer in love with it. And while it was a great mattress when new, it was always unbearably warm. So warm that we hesitated replacing it with another Tempur-Pedic. But after trying to find something that we both liked (other than memory foam), we went back to Tempur-Pedic & bought a ProAdapt. Warmth wise, it was a huge improvement over the old Rhapsody (may it RIP) but still a little warm. But this mattress protector cools the bed down so we're both comfortable all night. I was dubious (after all, everything I read about these newer mattresses said they were "cooler", but not "cool") so I had little hope for this purchase. Turns out, it was worth every dollar.
