When I first saw this on Amazon I was very skeptical. I needed a portable ladder for my RV so I could easily get to the roof while camping and tilt my solar panels up to get more energy. I did not want to use the existing unstable ladder that comes on the RV. Because I am a slightly bigger guy. Also needed something that could store well in the RV. Given the positive reviews on Amazon I took a chance. I’ll just say I am SUPER impressed with the quality, stability, size, weight and simplicity of this ladder. It holds me just fine and feels very stable. It’s super easy to use and stores easily. The height is perfect for my RV. I needed a portable ladder and one that doesn't take up too much space in my skoolie. It's easy to setup and stow and is stable even for someone 200lbs. The feet work well even on dirt and mud.

Super useful, compact, easy to use. Feels very sturdy and I trust it. Only downside is that the strap that holds it together broke almost instantly. But the ladder itself is high quality.

I bought this ladder to use with my Class A RV. It extends to just above the top and is perfect. I looked at the 15' model but decided against it because of the additional weight of the ladder. This ladder comes completely assembled, and is ready to go right out of the box! Raising and lowering is simple, but follow the caution signs on the instructions so you don't get any pinched fingers when lowering it. The ladder stores easily in any of the cargo bays and takes up very little room. I use the ladder mainly to install my ham radio antenna! I bought this to have a ladder to carry in my RV. I ended up also using it to paint the 16 foot high walls and ceiling over the stairway to my second floor. Previously I had to muscle a 12 foot ladder into my house continually re-adjust it to paint the area. This ladder allowed me to easily move the ladder and to use it at different heights. It was fantastic not to waste so much energy having to re-adjust and re-adjust, and in the meantime damaging the walls I had just painted. (I taped some old socks on the ends to help prevent the damage.) On the RV, I am able to easily carry this around, set it up, and climb onto the roof. I will note that there is some slight wiggle at full extension. (I am 235 pounds.) Also, it is VERY important how you recollapse the ladder so you do NOT PINCH OR DAMAGE your hands or fingers. I collapsed it from the top rungs, one at a time, with my hands and fingers clear of the rungs. The weight of the ladder helps collapse it. I was glad I spent the money for this ladder. Update: without any known damage to the ladder, one of the closing "buttons" has broken off. I am able to stick a three inch prod of some kind into the hole to push the mechanism and close the ladder, But the fact is that these buttons must be delicate. ... show more

This ladder is built well and has a good weight capacity. It is small to store and fairly light weight for carrying. It is fairly simple to extend and retract. The rung retention system is a good safety feature. Two things to consider: 1) The ladder is narrower at the bottom than at the top, which is the reverse of the usual situation. If you are a larger person you can't spread your feet out as much, so your balance on the ladder is not as good. 2) The feet are horizontal with the ladder's vertical members, fixed in place, and therefore do not conform to the ladder's angle with the ground. As a result this ladder will work best on high-friction surfaces such as bare earth or asphalt. On a wood or tile floor it will tend to slip so you will need to take more care. ... show more
