i do not leave reviews normally. been looking at inversion tables for years. did some research and decided on the x3, despite the price tag. i am a dumb old working guy with lower back spasms when reaching down from the upright position. received it ahead of estimated receive date. assembly would have been a snap but my back would not allow it. first time on the x3 i was temporarily pain free. subsequent treatments have increased my pain free time. it has been three days and i have adjusted the bed multiple times to accommodate the problem areas. the lumbar support is very stiff and does not want to install at the lowest setting. easy fix is to simply lay on it to warm it up and it goes right in. the side arms and handles are all in the perfect spots. i have been experimenting with the massage style inversion with a rocking motion to 60 degrees and getting great results. trick is to allow your legs to relax and let the momentum do the work. take the 30 seconds at level and come upright regularly to get the best benefit from the blood flow. lots of deep breathes. what a great machine. think ill purchase the optional neck attachment too. i think the best feature is the sturdiness. when doing inversion it makes a difference how comfortable i am when i know its stable and sturdy. thank you teeter. ... show more

Disclaimer up front - before you buy and use one of these inversion tables, please go see a neurologist so they can determine if your back issue might benefit from inversion therapy. And more importantly, they can also make sure that use of one of these devices won't make your condition worse. Having said that, Id been suffering from chronic lower back stiffness and muscle spasms for several months. The condition had been getting progressively worse over the last year and it finally got to the point where I went to a neurologist. They gave me prescription anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers which helped - but left me feeling drugged - because I was. We did an MRI which showed no alien babies growing in my back - which is what it feels like! I just have good old fashioned degenerative disc issues due to a back injury in my late 30s. I ask the doctor and he said no harm in trying an inversion table. Read up on the subject and Teeter tables kept coming up on the top of review lists. Bought this Teeter table and received in on a Saturday morning. I was a little disappointed that my "refurb" unit had paint missing on a few of the components when I opened the box. Why would you ship a product that way? Other than that, it looked brand new and unused. Put it together and, after reviewing the beginner exercises on one of Teeter's online video, I did my first 5 minutes of inversion/stretching. WOW! It was like a switch was flipped. I immediately felt 95% better to the point I stopped taking the prescription medicine that day. I've been using the table and doing those same 3 to 5 minute stretches 1-2 times a day since than and continue to be medication and pain free! I had hoped the table would provide some relieve but, I'm just blown away by the night and day difference it made after only one session. Your results may certainly vary but, I would highly recommend given inversion therapy a try if you're having chronic back issues. And despite the missing paint (don't care anymore because it worked so well!), the Teeter table is solidly built, comes with good instructions and support videos and, at least in my case provide a HUGE improvement for my chronic back pain. ... show more

I have 2 discs in my lumbar and now two more in my thoracic that don't feel like staying in place. I'm a mechanic with 10 years to go before retirement so fusion surgery is absolutely not an option for me. When I first got it and assembled it and used it, I was not in any pain. But once upside down I realized how much discomfort I had been in. I then have used it immediately after a disc started acting up and it lessened the pain enough that I could function the rest of the day and get to the chiropractor It's not a cure all. It doesn't replace a chiropractor, but it definitely has improved my quality of life ... show more

I bought a refurbished unit. I would have rated the sturdiness higher but with stress marks around several support points I’m not sure. Very dis-satisfied with the response from the seller saying this is normal on a new unit. So far it works, but it certainly isn’t what was represented in the product description as like new. **Update** After posting my review I heard directly from Teeter rep Carrie. After two message exchanges she understood my concerns and has sent me out a new bed due to the stress marks on the one they sent me and my concerns about it’s safety. She also offered a partial refund to address the blemished condition versus a refurbished one. Overall at this point I am very pleased with the product and the outcome of the issue. This table is rather awesome and am already starting to feel results. Word to the wise, for each 10 lbs of extra weight you carry above your waistline, increase your height on the scale by an inch. Visa Versa if your rather fit or underweight. This will help you to raise and lower yourself without struggles. Btw my back is better after less than a week using this. ... show more

Very sturdy, husband is satisfied with the table. He stated the instructions were a little bit difficult to read but he was able to manage to get the table together rather quickly anyway. As far as the results of using the table, that remains to be seen.
