Before ordering, please be sure (1) that you are healthy enough to use it and (2) the Teeter unit will fit into the space you plan to use. It’s not compact! The height might be concerning to some spaces with low ceilings. Assembly As others have written, the package’s size is awkward and weighs almost 80 lbs. Although I was able to coax it through the door of my house, another pair of hands would have been helpful. If you are experiencing back pain, then you should certainly get help with both moving the box and assembling the unit. Some of the pieces are quite heavy. That being said, the instructions are extremely good. I was impressed with the fact that one side of the box had printing that said, “This Side Up to Unpack.” The other side had printing that said, “Important! This Side Down When Unpacking.” You can guess which side was up at first. Flipping it over was a lot easier before opening the box. The instruction booklet is attached to the underside of the top of the box and so is easy to get to. The booklet has a QR code that you can scan with your digital device to download an app that has the same instruction booklet but with better (and animated) images. There are also assembly videos on YouTube, but I found the instruction booklet and the device app to be adequate. The parts are strategically cable tied together so that they don’t move around in the box. My only criticism with the packaging is that the cable ties are very thick and took a lot of effort to remove. Small parts (wrench, allen wrenches, allen screws and bolts) are clearly labeled in small bags and placed in a larger bag. Larger metal pieces are wrapped with cardboard to minimize scratching (no scratches on my unit). Kudos to the packaging engineer! Teeter says that the unit is 85% assembled and I believe it. Assembly consists of connecting four main parts (the frame, the roller hinge, the platform and the ankle lock system) together and the job is done. Screws and bolts are kept to a minimum, I think 8 in total. The instructions are very clear and logically ordered. Toward the end of the assembly, the instructions have an illustration showing how the correct assembly should look and two illustrations showing two common mistakes. If your assembly does not look like the correct illustration, you must go back and correct the problem. There is a warning that serious injury or death could result if you proceed further. I didn’t time how long it took for assembly, but it probably took about an hour. From the experience, I probably could assemble another one in half an hour. Fine tuning. I suggest that you attach the supplied tether to the platform to limit the angle of inversion, lengthening it to increase the angle as you gain experience. It’s important to have someone with you when you use the unit for the first time in case something goes wrong; otherwise, you might be hanging upside down for a long time! However, I had the opposite problem. A properly balanced table should invert by moving one or both arms above the head and right itself by moving them back to the side, but my table didn’t move at all. This was not addressed satisfactorily either in the assembly instructions or the user guide. Fortunately, there is a YouTube video from Teeter named “How to Balance Your Inversion Table.” This was very helpful. By changing the position of the roller hinge setting and shortening the main shaft an inch, the table inverted properly. Does it work? First, the inversion table is very robust. The frame is very sturdy and doesn’t move or rock when I invert or right myself. I always feel supported and I never feel like the table will let go of me and dump me on my head during inversion. I have been using the table for about a week now, usually twice per day for about 5 minutes each. The angle, set by the tether, is such that my head is about 60 degrees from vertical. Right now, I don’t have lower back pain and so can’t report on whether the table helps it. I’ll update later if this happens but I hope that using the table regularly will eliminate a recurrence. However, even at a modest 60-degree angle, I can feel my lower back elongating and relaxing. When I leave the table after 5 minutes, my back muscles are much less tense and generally feel better. I am giving the Teeter LX3 5 stars. I will update this review as I gain more experience.

This was a gift for a friend that's had back problems for 50 years. She uses it regularly and gets relief. It's sturdy, easy to adjust for other users in the household, and it's a quality product.

I understand the many muscular, skeletal, cardio and digestive benefits from using an inversion table, and I've tried a few owned by friends and relative's. Of the inversion tables I've tried at friends and relative's, all of them were nice but lower cost options. They lacked what I now recognize as very important features that will bring your experience to an all new level, such as lumbar support, adjustable foot pegs, ergonomic ankle pads (so comfortable), ball bearing pivot points, handles to pull or push for an inversion seesaw effect, and it's just plain built solid as a tank. The moment you get on it after adjusting it to your height, it begins to gently level off perfectly, almost automatically. The lower cost inversion tables kind of did that to, but more rapidly and with far less controllability. I'm really in shock at how much more comfortable and effective this inversion table is in comparison to all the others, especially with the lumbar support. All of them pale in comparison to the Teeter X3. One thing I had to be very careful about with all of the other inversion tables was the intensity of pitch. If I would pitch them more than 60 degrees, it would virtually cripple me. Unable to bent down to release my ankles, and if I managed to eventually bend over enough I would be stuck bent over in pain for several minutes. However, I believe the lumbar support and the seesaw function of the Teeter X3 has completely eliminated this concern, even at an 80 degree pitch. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TEETER X3! I cannot think of any negatives, other than the high price most would have to pay. I got mine during Amazon Prime days at 44% off, which was still a bit of a stretch but WOW, I'm absolutely happy with my purchase.

The assembled Tetter Fitspine X3 inversion table works well at straightening and relaxating my back after lifting weights or long runs. The unassembled Tetter parts are intimidating, but the instructions, diagrams and 800 help line made assembly easy. My inverted relaxed back offers thanks!
