I got this with the hope I could finish the install on my lunch break. I was wrong. At a certain part of the install you put through bolts in to hold everything together and you get two sets of bolts, one longer set and the normal set (the ones I used) To make a long story short neither set fit thought the bolt assembly. I tried over and over thinking maybe I got something wrong. Ended up I had to drill out the holes to make it fit. I was pretty upset having to get my drill and bits and bore out the holes. Once I got the holes bored out it installed like I had I initially thought it would be link. The lock and unlock feature is nice. Plenty of codes can be set , plenty of auto features and the codes can be quite long if that’s what you want. There is quite a bit of noise locking and unlocking the deadbolt but all in all it works well. Apart from the wrong bolts being given if I was not “properly tooled” this would have been a return. Most people would probably have returned it if the bolts don’t fit so I did the company a favor and “made” it work. Buyer beware of this issue. 06/27/2022 - UPDATE: After a long conversation with the vendor it was identified that this was an error on the product production side and was stated to be RARE and also corrected. As a move of good faith, they sent me another one and it was perfect with no issues with the bolt similar to what I had before. I installed it on my back door ( My original intention) and works great. As for the FIRST one I did install and it has been up and running for a while. No issues at all. I did set auto-lock to 30 seconds but removed that because going to get the mail but by the time I got back, it was locked. Buttons are still good, with no signs of wear to show numbers being used often. I will post a longer-term update after some time has passed. 9/3/2022 - Update: it’s been trucking a long great. I did have to fix the hole the locking pin goes into because occasionally it would not lock correct because the door was slightly misaligned (100% me not the product). Once I fixed the depth and width of the hood in the door jam is perfect. Check battery power with a multi meter and minimum ware down and looks like it’s gonna hold out for a good while. March 31,2023 UPDATE: door lock is chugging along great. Same batteries as when I installed it 8 months back. I have been using the same code and the numbers have not faded (was a concern of mine). Finish in the product is still good and honestly I'm very happy we installed this. Keys are a thing of the past. I'll update again when I get a chance. Jan 28,2024 Just performed a reset to cycle out told codes I may have forgotten I set and for people who use to live here. Buttons still show no sign of ware AND it's still on the same set of batteries. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. October 4, 2024 Front door handle lever snapped and does not open the door. The code dead lock still works so it's not a fail. Just need a new door knob. Take what you will from this. Last update: hope it helped ... show more

This is my third or fourth time buying one of these—I've even given one as a gift. It's my favorite keypad lock. Great price, easy to install, super easy to program, incredible battery life (I've had one for three years and have never changed the batteries). My youngest kept losing his house key, and my husband and I both drive cars with keyless entry and starters, so carrying around that old ring of keys just didn't make sense for us anymore. I love this for the house cleaner, the dog-walker, my in-laws, my kids. Pro tip: give everyone their own code and use the last 4 digits of their phone number! No one's going to forget their own phone number, and no one has a key to lose! ... show more

So far so good. I may update this review in the future if it has the same problems that my last two locks had.. which was that after a few years you would have to start changing the batteries more often first it was every six months then it became every three months then it became once a week for some reason when these units go bad, they begin to just suck up all your battery power. I don’t know why. But this time I bought a completely different unit from a completely different company. I had it professionally installed. It has gotta be number one on the Amazon top 100 list for a reason. One feature that I absolutely love that neither one of my last two locks had and I don’t understand why they didn’t have it, but this is an amazing great feature is that it’ll automatically lock. And you could time it!! This is extraordinary to me. So if you leave the house and let’s say you forget something you can run back in the house grab it run out and then the door will lock automatically. If you forget to lock it, it’s OK it will lock automatically. If you shut your door at night and you forget to lock it, no worries it’ll lock automatically. This may not seem like a big deal to people, but I cannot begin to tell you how many times I forgot to lock it and how many times I thought it was locked and it wasn’t. So far, it’s very easy to use. I’m extremely happy like I said I will update this review in several months if there’s any problems like the ones I mentioned above that I had with my last units. But if you don’t see an update, considerate working great. At this point for the price that it is and how well it works I would definitely recommend it. Thank you ... show more
