Easy to Install and Configure

I needed a new smart lock deadbolt for our back door to replace one that used a fingerprint sensor by a different manufacturer that had stopped working, as our desert Southwest environment can be brutal on exposed electronics. I like the fact that this model uses a straight-up keypad system for access in combination with a physical key, and I found it easy to install and configure. It took me about 30 minutes, including removing the old lock, to get it physically in place, and about another 10 minutes or so working with the keypad sequences to get it programmed with customized master and regular access codes. I'll definitely be hanging on to the little coding manual for future reference if changes are needed. It doesn't take much power from the 4 AA alkaline batteries it runs on, with most of the power used going to the drive motor mechanism for the bolt. I also liked the option to set it to 'silent', although I opted to keep the sounds for the key presses so I could be sure I didn't accidentally press a key twice and mess up the codes while I was programming it. It's a good value for the price, nice and sturdy, and was ready to go with minimal fuss and tools required. ... show more

I installed this almost a year ago and still very satisfied. It was easy to install and easy to program. I haven’t had to change the batteries yet, even through extreme weather. I like how different people can be assigned different codes.

Love having keyless entry.

Pros: I really like how simple this keypad lock is to use. Installation was quick and didn’t require any special tools, which was a big plus. I love not having to worry about carrying keys around, and it’s especially convenient when the kids need to get inside. The auto-lock feature gives me peace of mind that the door won’t accidentally be left unlocked. The oil-rubbed bronze finish also looks nice and matches our door hardware well. Cons: The only downside is that it doesn’t connect to an app, so you can’t lock or unlock it from your phone or check the status when you’re away. The auto-lock can also take some getting used to because it will lock after the set time even if you’re coming in and out frequently. Overall, though, for the price, it’s a great basic keyless entry lock that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. ... show more

At first, I had doubts and even thought I made a bad buy when I noticed the keyboard keys are plastic, worrying they would wear out, fade, or even pop off over time. However, I've had it for a little over a year now and it still looks like new. Battery consumption isn't excessive—I'd say it uses the bare minimum. Stylish with great functionality and easy installation.

I purchased this to replace the only number pad deadbolt that I had on the back door of my house recently and I am really pleased with it. The installation was very straightforward and easy to follow. The only note I would add is when you get to the step where you screw the battery compartment to the mounting plate make sure to apply extra pressure otherwise the pre-installed screws won't grab hold of the mounting plate behind it. Once they do grab hold though it pulls in close very securely. The hardest part of the install was removing the old deadbolt assembly that was jammed in the door. The overall look of the lock is very high class but without the high class price tag. The motorized lock mechanism moves smoothly. During the initial set up the lock will run a test and detect which direction move the lock (can be used on either side of the door frame) It will be interesting to see how it holds up next winter when it is below zero temps outside but so far I haven't had any issues. The included keys are a nice backup for winter or if the batteries die while you are out. It is also nice being able to go up to 8 digits on the access code instead of the standard 4. This lock is an offline model so there is no connectivity to it through Alexa/Google/Apple. Note: you will need 4x AA batteries as there aren't any included with the lock set. ... show more

I’ve been using the TEEHO TE001 Keyless Entry Door Lock for a few months now, and honestly, it’s been great.
