This unit really works! And, Yes!! It gets hot! The entire unit gets hot!! The handles remain “touchable” BUT DO NOT MOVE THIS UNIT UNTIL IT’S COMPLETELY COOLED!!! And it takes a long while to completely cool down. I didn’t have any trouble heating a medium large pot to a roiling boil, just know it’ll take longer than a conventional range top to reach boiling. It’s a “hot plate,” not a two burner conventional range top. I found the temperature settings easy to navigate. It stores easily on any shelf. Light weight but not cheaply flimsy. I looked through a lot of stoves before getting this one . I’m not disappointed at all . It looks exactly like the picture. It heats up pretty fast and temp is fine control buttons work well .. I haven’t experienced too much smoke . For durability is fine BUT KEEP IN MIND If you don’t clean it right away don’t wait until the next day it doesn’t bother me to much but I can’t get some of the things that fell on it while it was hot off . It’s fine I guess but do keep in mind if you want it to stay looking new clean it right away! Other than that we love it . Will continue to use to see how long this lasts . Love the color tho. Can’t go wrong with this one

Thought I would give an honest review, no compensation or anything. 1.5 qt pot, 2 eggs from the refrigerator and covered with cold water. Put pot in and turned unit on high. 4 minutes small bubbles appear, 5 minutes steam appears 8 minutes audible bubbles and small boil, 10 minutes large rolling boil. Had to reduce temp due to some splash over. 20 minutes eggs hard boiled. Handles stayed cool. Unit base got very hot. Don’t touch. Overall comparable to a stovetop. Works good.

The store light would only turn on when it’s above the “min” heat, but at “min” heat it’s already pretty hot. There’s a sticker on the top stated the stove is hot but is not a live warning. You don’t know until you put your hand over the stove. If you have little children, I don’t recommend this for you. The wire is short, so I need an extension even for the power outlet under the dinner table. It takes a while to cool it down. This is a good price, and the item works. The instruction for first time use is very good and it’s placed right on the stove top so no one can miss it.

I recently purchased the Techwood 1800W Portable Electric Stove with high hopes for a convenient and efficient cooking solution, but unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory. One of the major drawbacks is the inconsistent heating performance. Despite the 1800W power rating, the burners seem to struggle to reach and maintain the desired temperature. Cooking times are prolonged, and achieving even heat distribution across cookware has proven to be a challenge. This inconsistency has significantly impacted the quality of my cooking, leading to frustration and disappointment. The build quality of the electric stove also leaves much to be desired. The materials used feel flimsy, and the overall construction lacks durability. The adjustable temperature control, while present, seems imprecise and unreliable, making it difficult to achieve the desired cooking results. The stay-cool handles, advertised as a feature, don't effectively dissipate heat, posing a safety concern during use. Another issue is the limited size of the 7.5" cooktop. While it may be suitable for some basic cooking tasks, it proves impractical for larger pots and pans, restricting the versatility of the appliance. This limitation was not clearly communicated in the product description, leading to unexpected challenges in preparing meals of various sizes. Furthermore, the compatibility claim with all cookwares falls short of reality. The heating elements seem to struggle with certain materials, resulting in uneven cooking and potential damage to cookware. This lack of compatibility undermines the versatility promised by the product. In terms of portability, the Techwood Electric Stove falls short of expectations. While it's marketed as a portable solution for RVs, homes, and camps, the bulkiness and awkward design make it less convenient to transport than anticipated.
