Armor design, Metal logo T-FORCE DARK Z DDR4 gaming memory is designed based on the concept of an armored knight. The sacred war robe offers a more complete protection. The simple yet brilliant line design of T-FORCE DARK Z DDR4 gaming memory refines the heat sink which made by traditional punch press process. Electrolytic anodizing process and metal electroforming logo design are used to echo with T-FORCE logo’s energetic tech armor. Reinforced structure, Enhanced heat dissipation T-FORCE DARK Z DDR4 gaming memory’s all new cooling module is designed with armor for complete protection and enhanced heat dissipation. The heat spreader is formed by punch press process with a 0.8mm thick, one-piece alloy aluminum to reinforce the body structure. In addition, coloring with electrolytic anodizing process can enhance corrosion resistance and make it non-conductive. Moreover, with superconductivity – thermally conductive adhesive, it can quickly transfer the heat on IC chip through heat conduction to aluminum alloy cooling module for better heat dissipation. Therefore, the gaming overclocking memory can be maintained within operating temperature, and offering the finest and smoothest gaming experience and an extreme performance without any lag. Selected IC chips, Stable and durable Every IC chip made for TEAMGROUP’s T-FORCE DARK Z DDR4 gaming memory is selected through a rigorous testing process. Every overclocking memory is tested for complete compatibility and stability. This offers gamers a DDR4 memory with excellent quality, optimal performance, stability and compatibility. • Won't run at 3200 on B450 (updated)
Size: 16GB (8GBx2) - 3200MHz C16 Color: Gray
I forgot to turn off the XMP profile before I turned my PC off to upgrade from the 2 x 4GB DDR4 3200 GSKill that was in there before, but figured it would be fine since this memory is also 3200 via XMP profile. The PC would not boot, but after a few beeps and auto power cycles I was able t get into the BIOS of my ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 and the memory was now at the default 2400. I tried to set it to 3000 via the XMP profile and saved the settings. After which it did power up and start to boot but then I got some file corruption warning crashes from Windows 10 during boot. I wound up setting it to 2933 and it seems stable now. Not going to return since the price was good and I'll probably only lose a few frames per second in games. Still disappointing since the GSKill memory worked at 3200 with no issues. Update - Installed a new BIOS on my motherboard that didn't say anything about more memory support but now the memory runs at full speed and stable via XMP. ... show more

  • Cheap enthusiast memory sold for cheap. Nothing exceptional.
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - 3600MHz C18 Color: Black
This memory is... fine. It works properly and has no issues reaching the advertised clock-speed or timings (which aren't particularly impressive). The big caveat however is that despite Teamgroup's best efforts to hide this fact with evasive answers to customer questions, it's single-rank -- full stop. Well, at least the 3600MHz 16GB modules are single-rank, which is the only variant I can speak to. I originally purchased a 2x16 kit when building a new Ryzen 5800X rig in March (2021) and at the time, this was the only 3600MHz 32GB kit I could find in stock that was even remotely reasonably priced. I never thought for a second that I was buying single-rank modules since they used to be very uncommon in the enthusiast DIY space for higher capacity sticks. Not so anymore. So how much performance is left on the table when using single-rank modules vs dual-rank? Well, that depends upon the application. In some cases it makes absolutely no difference but in others, you can see up to a 20% performance improvement with dual-rank memory (or the alternative I'll get to in a bit). And while a 20% uplift is uncommon, 10% gains are found often, especially in games and even more so when targeting high refresh rates. The topic of single vs dual rank memory modules has heated up recently with single-rank becoming more and more common and manufacturers being less and less transparent. Teamgroup doesn't even divulge single or dual rank on their spec-sheets and even long-standing, trusted brands such as Corsair and Crucial are getting in on the action. And why wouldn't they since they can increase profit margins while most of their customers won't know the difference. So what to do? Well, you can go for a premium 2-stick kit that's advertised as dual-rank or you can do what I did -- assuming you have 4 DIMM slots on your motherboard -- and buy 4 sticks. That's right, the Zen 3 memory controller will operate at much the same efficiency with 4 single-rank sticks as it does with 2 dual-rank sticks. Of course, my second set of sticks was added 5 months later as a corrective measure but hey, all's well that ends well. I now have 64GB of RAM with all the performance of dual-rank modules and actually spent less than I would have for a 2x32GB dual-rank kit. Of course, I don't really need 64GB of RAM in my gaming rig but there was really no downside. Buying another kit was my best option since it would have cost more to get the same performance with only half the capacity if I just replaced my original sticks. With all that in mind, if you're building a new Ryzen 5xxx rig and considering this memory, consider buying 2 kits. It'll still be cheaper than buying a single kit of premium RAM of an equal total capacity (e.g. 4x8GB vs 2x16GB for 32GB total) and you'll have mostly equivalent performance. I say mostly because as mentioned previously, the timings here are simply average and there's definitely better stuff out there. One final note for those thinking "but if I fill all my slots I won't be able to add more memory down the road"... allow me to retort... have you ever? I haven't. Not once have I ever actually found it necessary to add additional memory capacity to a rig in 30+ years of building DIY machines. This was a singular case and it had nothing to do with capacity rather, correcting a mistake. If you spec a rig properly from the start, then by the time you need more RAM you'll likely want to upgrade the rest as well. TL;DR: There are better options but you can save a few bucks with this memory and if you do decide to go with it, consider buying 4 sticks (2 kits) for a performance uplift (specifically with Ryzen 5xxx). ... show more

Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - 3600MHz C18 Color: Black
Update 10/5/2020 After reporting the issues to Amazon and let them know the steps I took to identify the ram as the issue they shipped me a replacement extremely fast. So far so good! I am having issues with freezing randomly after i updated my ram, I reached out to amazon and after the i had a boot error and was just told i need to boot my system. The ram is great for the price but you cant get ahold of support to diagnose the issue. If customer care reaches back to out to me and gets this resolved i will update the review but until then its a 1 star due to only being able to reach amazon customer support that unfortunately cant do anything. i will put my pc specs below just incase someone is questioning if the ram is right for my pc it is just seems like it needs to be replaced. PC build Ryzen 3800x, x570 mother board, rtx 2070, and now 32 gb of ram which is being a pain. ... show more

  • Great RAM kit.
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - 3200MHz C16-18-18-38 Color: Black
This was my first TEAMGROUP RAM I've even purchased. I originally had gotten the 32GB G Skill Ripjaws, but they wouldn't clock to 3200mhz on my MSI B450M MB with Ryzen 3rd gen processor. However, these had no problem with getting the stock speed on XMP profile. I've since upgraded my other hardware, and now have these on a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite, with Ryzen 3700x CPU and Sapphire Pulse 5700XT GPU. System is fast and stable with plenty of headroom. Using Ryzen DRAM calculator, I was able to get 14-17-17-14-32 timings. Not bad. These are Hynix CJR die. ... show more
