The biggest challenge with this door lock is getting the lower door latch adjusted perfectly so that the bolt can move freely without touching the sides of the lock. That seems like it should be easy, but was much more challenging than I expected. With some bending of the wallplate tounge, I managed to get it. If you have to pull, push, or lift your door even a little to engage the deadbolt, you will have some challenges as well. With that done though, it was very easy to install the lock (watch the video for an easier reference than the instructions), and it connected to the SmartLife app as soon as I put batteries in. It took some extra time to figure out how to add users, and much more time to figure out where temporary codes could be modified. However, after sorting that out, it's easier to control settings from the app than button pressing at the panel. The black matching lock-less handle is a nice addition, and prevents someone from accidentally locking the bottom with a key they probably don't have. I am a little disappointed it only includes two keys. These are needed if the batteries run out, so I wish there were at least 4. Occasionally the door lock is disconnected from the Internet for a little while. I am not sure if it's due to our Internet, updates, or what. However, it has always come back up within an hour, and can still be used at the door itself. I am really liking the feature to just tell Alexa to "lock the back door" without having to go myself. You can also set it to auto lock after a set time, and I will probably set that feature on ones I am going to get for the garage and shed. I have set a codes for my family, guests, and the neighbor that checks on my home while we are away. I like that I can check in the app which code was used at what time. Though notifications on my phone seem to only determine if it was unlocked manually, fingerprint, or code. I have to enter the log to see which individual code was used. Hopefully that will be changed to show more clear notifications in the future. I think the value is good for the price, and I will be purchasing two more for my garage and shed.

I had to buy a new digital lock since our old one broke down after six years of usage. I searched around and found it really difficult to make a decision based on reviews since everyone has mixed reviews. I think I came across this one on a deal site and thought I would give it a try. Install was very easy, though I had a challenge lining up the keypad side for a while so it wasn't sitting flush. Setup was super easy and I like having multiple ways to unlock. I haven't set up a temp code for the babysitter yet but plan to soon. It's only been two weeks since I started using it so more feedback later.

Honestly it's built good. Easy to install and has wifi integration. Has a backup key just in case. My only issue so far is if you manually unlock it even if u have auto lock it won't lock leaving the door unlocked. My son went out and I came in and the door was close but unlocked. My guess since it has no way of know the door is closed it also doesn't double check. But it's sometimey. Other than it's reliable it's easy to work with and I like the features

Functional smart lock, you can set up multiple users and issue temporary access. You can get notification on when your lock is being used, finger print access. Very feature rich for an inexpressive smart lock. The drawback for me, you have to use a paid version of the app for full functionality. Installation was easy, with excellent instructions. Setting up the app was a little difficult for me, but i figured it out. In use, the lock functions smoothly, both by hand and electronically. It looks nice, matches my black entry handle set, and is holding up well to my four kids on my front door.
