This is THE projector killer. Bright, large enough for a living room theater, easy to setup (with two). 2023. Says it is often returned. Why? Likely that the spouse said "No!" because unlikely to move it if you move. I installed over a window with Milestone Over-The-Whiteboard Mount. 124 pounds seems dangerous just sitting on a table. TCL is the high-end brand of cheap Chinese TVs. Very good sound (even with large subwoofer) but I have a 7.4.6 audio setup. My only regret is that I don't have room for another one of these. And it's cheaper. Good for gaming, computer monitor, etc. Three times brighter than a projector... mine replaced a larger and far more expensive projector and screen. And yet, I bought another projector... for outdoor golf simulator. You cannot hit golf balls into a TV. LOL ... show more

    • Amazing TV at an amazing price!
Got this on the current $1999 sale. Have never owned a TCL before but took a chance. It actually arrived a week before Amazon showed it to. I didn’t want to mount this on the wall and the included feet were too wide for my TV stand so I purchased the 86” legs on Amazon with it. These mount to the same VESA holes that the wall mount would. Several picture adjustments need to be made like turning off the intelligent brightness settings. I also found the Sports picture setting to be the best for me. I haven’t tuned in the blur and judder settings yet but it’s close. The picture is amazing and even though it’s 98” I don’t think it is “too big” at all. Setup was simple and the built in Google TV has been smooth and has access to all apps that we use. No real opinion on sound as we immediately connected it to our Sony 7.1 receiver with an optical cable. We’ve only had it a week but would highly recommend based off of our first impression. ... show more

Ordered this amazing TV while it was on sale for less than $2000. If you know anything about big screen TVs, this is a steal. I saw this TV at CES this year and was convinced that I wanted one. It arrived on time and the delivery guys were super and very careful. They put it in the room of choice. Once this TV was installed, and yes you need 2 strong guys to move it, it is incredible! This TV replaced an 82" Samsung TV and its every bit as good picture quality. Getting all the setting configured took several hours of time but it is well worth the effort. The built in Google TV is great and has all the live TV and apps for other streaming items you will need. We have only had it a few days, but so far we are totally satisfied. This 98” TCL Google TV is amazing. It’s in our primary bedroom. Paired with a Visio high end surround sound system connected via ARC-HDMI Cable provides a viewing experience that is as good as any movie theatre. Picture quality is incredibly large and bright and colourful sound is loud enough to warrant worrying about your neighbours late at night. It connected to AT&T fibre optic network with cable services provided by Direct TV Stream. They have 3 4K channels and I have upgraded Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to 4K as well. There is an app called Kodi that allows us to access a Western Digital 35 Tb NAS drive that contains years worth of personal video and photos and movies and music on the Television. ... show more

Ordered this TV. Removed from box. Went to set up. Would not stop a continuous loop on the region set up page. After speaking with Manufacturer for 20 min... they said to simply return to amazon and order another one. Then after 15 minutes with amazon, they said I would have to rebox (ITS 98" and VERY very heavy) and they would pick it up to return in 14 days!!!! They said I could simply order again (and pay again) for a new one. BUT...Now its $300 more. Just wow. Decided to not repurchase! ... show more

TCL continues to impress with the addition of their 98” model. It’s an extremely large monitor, but maintains the depth of colors, sharp refresh rate, and reliability of the more traditional sizes. An unexpected surprise was the sound quality from the built-in Onkyo subwoofer, honestly contemplating if a soundbar is even required. The picture quality isn't phenomenal, but it's good enough for me. I would prefer the screen to be more shiny, but this is a great TV for the money. I think the sound quality is excellent, too.

Tv arrived safely And I removed it from the box ,2 of us hung it on the wall and it is Not as heavy as I thought. After Changing some settings the picture Is very nice. Removed the Adaptive settings such as brightness etc...Dobyvision..can be very dark... So I disabled that.. Streaming from apple TV is amazing, especially with a good internet connection. watching sports such as the NFL playoffs Was like looking through a window... I also have a BENQ 4K Projector which I use for night use.. Now I don't have to.. ... show more
