After my family died in 2012, I decided to keep the old 1975 Console TV with hopes of putting in an LED flat panel TV in place of the CRT. Well, 12 years later, I finally got around to doing it. One thing that was stopping me is that 10 years ago, there were no 1080p 32 inch TVs. They were all 720p, and I wanted full HD. There are only 2 manufacturers who make full HD 32" televisions - Samsung and TCL The Samsung did not fit as well as this TCL. So, after refinishing the cabinet, we put the TCL 32 into the big wood box. The picture is way too good for a $140 television! This is my third TCL and I really like them. 5 years ago the TCL interface was slow. But this 2024 model is very snappy when loading apps and channels. This TV also has Ethernet for internet and Fiber-optic for audio in addition to Bluetooth and WiFi. It is a very nice touch for a TV at this price point and size. My old TV unexpectedly stopped working and I was able to purchase this model for an excellent price. It has exceptional features such as Google Assistant which is great for searching for movies by genre, by a specific actor, and you can even search for movies by a theme such as post-apocalyptic movies etc. The picture is phenomenal as it is an LCD picture and is bright and crisp.. it has Bluetooth built in so I can connect my headphones for watching at night. It is easy to operate and was easy to set up. My last TV was a TCL and my smartphone is a TCL. I am very satisfied with their products ... show more

This was the cheapest 43 inch smart tv I could find. I like that it’s a smart tv so I get some extra functionality and have easy access to streaming services and there’s an option to turn off the light at the bottom of the tv in the settings app which is nice. However being it’s a cheap tv there are a lot of issues I’ve had with it. Out the box there was a trim piece sticking out on the bottom of the tv where some double side tape wasn’t properly attached. Also a lot of the functions on the remote and in the Home Screen just don’t work how they should. It feels like I have to jump through hoops just to get to the settings menu as the remote buttons don’t always work and options are blocked out on the menu screen. Also updating takes a while every time and can last well over a half hour. But it is a cheap tv and it does work so that’s good I guess. ... show more

I have had 3 TCL TVs. They have Roku and I have always been satisfied. When my wife dropped our 32inch I bought this thinking I was getting a Roku, my mistake. This POS is the slowest and dumbest TV I've ever had. Trying to navigate with the remote is enough to drive you crazy. When you push a button nothing happens, not at first. So you push it again or push another button, then it decides to catch up and sends you hurdling through a frustrating ride into a surprise... Where will you end up? Nobody knows. We are talking 15-30 second delays. It's not the wifi, even navigating the home screen is worse than trying to walk thru the sand in steel toe boots. Remember dial up and AOL in the 90s? Did you like that? BC if you did you'll love waiting on this tv to sludge thru the simplest of tasks. Also, I cannot figure out some of the settings. We put the dog in the guest room when we leave and like to leave the tv on for him. This TV exits the app after 4 hrs and goes to the silent screensaver. I have gone through the settings several times, pointless. Completely pointless. Like trying to eat soup with a fork. Like I said, TCL are decent TVs... Just buy the Roku! ... show more

Bought a 32" for my office area. Picture is solid very bright, sound is decent (for a flat screen). The Google TV is not obnoxious, you can set it so your startup goes to any input. There is a little bit of light bleed on the edges, but not unexpected. Very light, can likely use almost any mount. Has sleep and auto shut off timers. ... show more

It works with a Roku stick. But when you turn on the TV you have navigate out of the TCL home screen. It doesn't go automatically to your HDMI where you have your Roku stick plugged in.
