This product is a larger size than most panini grills I have looked at, making it better for family use. What I was looking for were size, ease of use, ease of cleaning and functionality for different types of foods. This brand ticked all the boxes. The heating is even, preheating is quick, room to make two large Reubens or 3-4 regular size sandwiches. This product can open completely flat for two grilling surfaces for things like steaks or burgers, pancakes, French toast, fish or whatever. It made great grilled cauliflower and zucchini slices. Also I have made steaks and burgers both pressed and open on the grill. Both are great. The grease trap in the back holds quite a bit of dripping, slides out smoothly and is wide enough to clean easily. No matter how messy the grilling gets no grease gets behind or under the grill plates, which remove easily for cleaning. Also the grill plates flip for a smooth cooking surface on one or both sides. Although this model is a pricier item than several others, I feel it is well worth the few dollars more. The size, evenness of cooking, consistent results and ease of cleaning are just what I was looking for! Love this!

My husband picked this out for me. It is easy to use and more than one use. I like making pancakes on it, I can make 4 in 1/4 of the time. The press makes great sandwiches and has the panini press and the flat cooking side too. The cooking plates are dishwasher safe and even easy to clean. I have made paninis and the press is very good. It makes the sandwiches pretty even, at least when making 2 at a time. The heat is even and the pancakes cook evenly all within 30 seconds of each other(depending on how far apart you pour batter).

I’m sure this item has gotten a lot of great reviews but I just had to put my two cents in worth, I am not a sandwich person I don’t care for sandwiches, especially toasted sandwiches. My husband got this and I thought what a waste of money this is going to be, it is now my new favorite kitchen appliance. I use it for everything, especially the Panini‘s. I have never had one . Oh my gosh they are amazing in this Panini maker I do recommend buying whole bread from the bakery and slicing it. It actually turns out way better. I’ve grilled chicken in there. I’ve done just about everything in there. It really works wonderful one of the best features is that you can just easily pop out the plate and wash it in the sink and put it right back on no mess no fuss. I also got a Panini cookbook to go with it and got a lot of great sandwich Ideas and other grilling ideas. This thing is really amazing. You can do so much with it. I’m getting everybody on my Christmas list one!!

I was looking for something that would just make 1 grilled cheese sandwich or hamburger for a single lady who doesn't like to cook. I'm too impatient to cook 1 side of a sandwich, then flip it over to cook the other side, so I wanted something that would cook both sides at once and would be versatile enough to cook other "2 sided things", like hamburgers, for the same reasons. I read lots of reviews of different "sandwich cookers" and decided on this one because of the extra temperature and time controls, plus the removable, dishwasher safe plates for ease of cleaning. I like this unit a lot. It serves my purposes and, because you can control time and temperature, you can use it for lots of different things. I am really, really glad I got a unit with removable plates. I can't imagine how you would clean something without removable plates! That must be a real chore! I haven't put them in the dishwasher yet. As with anything else, dishwashing is hard on surfaces, so I've avoided it thus far. I will say that this is meant for really fat, panini type sandwiches. It crushes skinny things like a grilled cheese and hamburgers so they come out really flat. Maybe I could add more thickness to those and have better luck? What I don't like about this unit is the way the grease doesn't drip very well into the drip tray. Much is left on the grill plate itself, and on my countertop, and the back of the unit. If there's anything I hate cleaning up, it's grease. Maybe if the plates were tilted backward instead of flat, that would help the grease to actually drip into the tray rather than partly in the tray AND all around the tray? The price was reasonable for what you get. I wasn't about to spend hundreds, so at $130.00, I think it was a fair deal. Having the removable plates (which seems hard to find) and variable time and temp functions, are definitely worth price. I recommend this product.

Love my Reuben sandwiches Panini style nothing like it, And it proved to work to perfection. Nice addition to be able to flip over and cook, pancakes and bacon or whatever else you wanna cook on it exactly what I was looking for.

It's not the cheapest model out there but it's highly versatile and cleans easily. It's one of those things that few people think that they really NEED, but once we started using ours we found a lot of uses for it. It cleans easily and cooking with it is faster and less messy than cooking on top of the store. It's makes cooking things like grilled cheese sandwiches on both sides a breeze.
