Great value for the money. Perfect size for our crew of 4 engineers at a recent desert festival. Our unit was was totally fine out of the box, no damage, turned on first try. The only issue i would even start to raise issue with is that i think the temperature settings are not accturate (400 got us to around 250 according to our laser temp gun). Despite this - It got more than hot enough to rip some dogs and red hots on. Even came with a set of tongs. The center of the roller seems to be 20-30 deg hotter than the sides but 12 dogs fit and cooked just fine. We usually set the back higher than the front so you can get em going in the back and let em chill in the front. It does kinda squeek every so often but like no reason to not useit. Definitely fire it up the first time outside the truck... and wash it really good to get all the MFG crap off of it. I am now wondering if we can heat some tots or mini taquitos on it next year. Zero actual complaints ~ Go for Rambo! ... show more

This is a nice unit that has a surprising high cooking temp range up to 500 degrees. While the manual recommends only using the unit for pre-cooked items, we tried cooking raw brats at a fairly high temperature and it worked great. They cooked all the way through and were also nicely charred on the outside similar to how they would have come off the grill. Dogs cook every evenly and we also ran the temp higher than recommended at 350 degrees because we like ours blistered a bit as they would be from the grill. Overall, I am happy with this dog roller. The manual recommends cleaning the rollers with soap and water but given that we like our meats well done there was a lot of residual left on the rollers. I ended up soaking a paper towel in vinegar and wiping down the rollers. It worked great to remove the charred remnants and clean the grease off. ... show more

Great product and was well packaged... it works great and hot dogs sure taste different as it cooks them well And one of the things to do is READ the instruction manual fully... I added to it (I think) as it says to put cooking oil on the roller sides but i sprayed the entire rollers and then when it is finished the rollers clean well and it does not look like you have even used it so to keep it in great shape for when you desire to use it put cooking oil on each roller on all sides of each roller then it is easily cleaned when you are not using it!! And clean out the tray when you are finished and you will see the tray will have more oil and liquids that come from the hot dogs when they cook... Got this a week ago & have been playing with temperatures. It was easy to get up & running, but lacking on how to cook a hot dog or any other similar item. I'll start with hot dogs. The instructions says to use vegetable oil the first use (which I did) & to pre-heat rollers to 350°. Once those are done...I laid the hotdogs down and it was stated that they take around 20 minutes. So, these did cook, but there are hot spots. It didn't affect the taste & for the ones I ate, were hot & juicy. Now I wanted to try cooking breakfast sausage links (Johnsonville). Since there is no other instructions in the manual concerning any other foods besides hot dogs, it's a complete guess what temperatures would work or not. I'm not knocking this machine for that, but I see these machines roll Taquitos, brats & other foods, but no indication of what to do with them. A Google search is not in your favor either. If Vivo can add to that manual for those extra food types & maybe some tips to make the hot dogs more even, instead of getting hot spots on 350° would be a nice thing to do. I'll learn some tips along the way I'm sure, but...for just hot dogs, it gets the job job. ... show more

First - we ordered this seven months ago and when we opened this and put it together, we found one of the rollers was making a grinding noise. We contacted the seller and sent a video . Keep in mind, this is seven months after purchase .. and the seller agreed.. it was not operating correctly . The seller sent a brand new one that we received within two days!!! Now that’s some customer service !!!! Second - this machine is awesome. Easy to assemble the hood with a couple of acres and you’re off to scrumptious hot dog land!! The only con, if you wanna call ot a con, is the kids want hot dogs all the time now .. best investment ever ... show more

Our graduate had dreams of a hot dog roller stand at his graduation party. Looking at party store rentals, they were expensive, we had to figure out set up, and they didn't look so clean. We opted to purchase this one and are so glad we did. We got to practice making them ahead of time so we knew what to expect for timing during the party. We kept a small batch of hot dogs gently warming in a crockpot of water in a staging area, and then would just refill the rollers as needed. The machine heated them up evenly, kept them juicy, and was loved by all. The "sneeze guard" was nice for germs and keeping things from falling onto the rollers, the tongs worked perfectly for getting the hot dogs on and off the rollers. Clean up was a breeze. My graduate would prefer to have this set up in our kitchen for daily use (mom says no) but looking forward to pulling it out for game day, superbowl, and other parties. We've also seen these style hot dog rollers hooked up to portable generators on the sidelines at tournaments and for tailgating.... don't like hot dogs? Pretty sure tacquitos and other cylindrical shaped foods would cook on this (just check the internal temp before eating until you figure out timing). Highly recommend, no complaints about the machine and it seems like it will be pretty durable over time. This was the highlight of our graduation party (food-wise) and a hot dog bar was fun and easy to do. ... show more
