No, there's nothing wrong with the kit that this comes with. What I'm telling you is that the tattoo pen in this kit runs incredibly well. I was absolutely blown away by it. The pen has a rather unusual shape, and comes (incredibly, at this price) with a built in battery pack. The battery has a range of 4.0v to 12.0v, and it get a tad loud right around 9.5v. However, it's just a little noisy, but what's really amazing is that it's so smooth. It's absolutely silky, and the vibration is nil. That really shocked me. I mean, this is a relatively inexpensive pen for beginners... and it's part of a kit! The pen is rechargeable via a USB-C port at the top, and the digital LED readout is easy to see, and it's a 3-button operation. The changes are made in 1/10v increments, which I prefer. Also included are 10 needle cartridges (5 liners, 5 shaders) a roll of grip tape (black), a pair of black latex exam gloves, two small packs of ink caps, a clip cord with RCA plug end, a single tattoo design transfer paper, a single thin sheet of synthetic practice skins, and some cursory instructions. This is a shockingly great tattoo pen, and runs better than many machines I've tried that cost hundreds more. Nicely finished, and attractive looking. The kit is a super bargain, in my opinion. Even if you never touch anything else, the pen is worth the cost of the kit.

This is a great place to start before you start to mess around with real skin - which you shouldn't do until you've had an apprenticeship anyway. Have to respect the process, for the sake of both art and safety. The only thing missing here is aftercare stuff, which you won't need yet, and you definitely want to buy from a reputable, recognizable name. This is a nice little kit that includes a lot of everything, and just one practice skin. You'll want to source more elsewhere. Lots of ink colors to try out. But don't use any of this on a person unless you're very sure it's safe and from a known source. Phrases in the description like "no hot for long time working" don't instill a ton of confidence in this as a super-pro machine, but I'm still getting my bearings. One thing to note is that this doesn't have a removable power source, so if you run low on juice, you'll have to plug in. Depending on your style, this may be a hindrance. I'm working with fake skin; check the professional reviewers here and their experiences with this in a real shop setting. For now, this seems great for my limited needs.
