So I was skeptical about this water filter with uv light but my husband and I are pleasantly surprised and satisfied customers! The filter is strong for our 70 turtle tank! And it does clear the water and keeps it clean for longer times ! Also the sound of the filter is not that noisy and our turtles love the bubbles! They seem to like playing with it!!! And at night one of our turtles like to sleep close to the filter because it enjoys the bubbles! My husband and I definitely recommend this filter!

This works exactly as described. I have 3 large tanks and got one for each tank. I use it with a regular tank filter system and it makes the water crystal clear. Before this i had problems with the water clarity, afterwards I haven't had any of those problems. I definitely recommend these. And tell everyone I know that has a tank to get one, it's well worth it in the long run. If I get any other tanks I will definitely get one for that tank too. Easy to take apart and clean. It's a must have if you have a fish tank.

I don't typically do reviews but this one i have to! This filter is amazing to say the least! I got live plants from petco recently for my tank which caused an algae spike. Ive had this for 5 days and.. well lets just say, the pictures speak for themselves.

This filter works really well on my 20-gallon saltwater tank. The UV light noticeably improves water clarity and helps with cloudiness. It’s quiet, reliable, and does its job. However, once I added filter floss, I had to change it every 48–72 hours. Each time I removed the filter to swap the floss, it stirred up detritus and clouded the tank instantly—leading to nitrate and nitrite spikes. It became frustrating and messy. I use a Seachem HOB filter on my 75-gallon, and it’s much easier to maintain without disrupting the tank. I recently ordered the Seachem 35 to replace this one. If you don’t plan to use filter floss or clean your filter often, this one will work just fine

So initially I installed this in my son's 10 gallon fish tank. It had WAY too powerful filtration...if you look it has a 10 watt pump which is in the range of 200gph filtration. So I took it out and went back to the hang on the tank filter. With 2 goldfish and 2 minnows in a 10 gallon tank, I eventually had an algae problem. I was replacing HOB filters clogged with algae every couple days and the water was still murky and algae out of control! I really didn't want to resort to chemical algecide on account of a fish kill incident early on in my learning about fish tanks. So I adapted some irrigation hose to make a diffuser for this pump's output and removed the sponge inlet filter (not recommended) just to see if the UV could help. I had it on for about 1/2 hour, and the fish were constantly freaking out. Also, I noticed the water had become more cloudy with lots of micro bubbles (Ozone?). I turned it off to calms the fish and just went back to depending on the HOB filter. Well, that was Friday, and watching the tank over the past couple days wondering what to do it has progressively gotten clearer like magic. Today (Sunday night) the water is crystal clear!! I think that in the 1/2 hour this filter ran, the UV light directly sterilized or added enough Ozone to completely kill the algae. Amazing! So for the videos that show how clear it gets over a few days.....it MIGHT actually do that even if it only runs for a little bit on day 1..... the rest may be overkill....in any case, extremely effective.

My dad has a concrete pond that someone recently gave him fish to put in it. We know nothing about fish, so I had to go down the fish pond rabbit hole to figure out how to control the algae being that the pond is in direct sun. I've tried multiple algaecides, barley straw bales, the ground up version of barley straw, a sun shade, a pool vacuum, copper pipe, but nothing worked. The algae seemed to keep getting worse until it was forming the string algae and you couldn't see anything more than a half inch below the surface. How the fish have survived, I'll never know. I found this and figured why not. The bulb came broken, but I followed the instructions to contact the seller instead of returning it to Amazon. They promptly sent another bulb. It's taken about 6 weeks and I can now see the bottom of the pond and the fish even at night. I think it will take a couple more weeks to get completely clear, but I quit using all the other algaecides and took out the barley straw, and it still keeps getting better. I clean out the filter every weekend. I am truly amazed how well this has worked and had I tried this first, would have saved me a ton of money and worry about killing the fish by using other products that never improved it at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with an algae problem.

Product was amazing … while it lasted. Purchased back in October 2024. And now it hardly turns on and UV light quit working. Light doesn’t come on at all when plugged in and you have to tap the top of the pump just right to make it turn on.

I purchased this 3 weeks ago and am extremely happy with how well it worked, I have well water that gets cloudy and green pretty quick after water changes even with chemical treatment, this UV filter had the water crystal clear within a week in a 40 gal tank and it has maintained the clarity. There are two reasons I did not give it 5 stars, first being the flow rate is not adjustable and it has a pretty strong flow, second, I have a lot of live plants and debris will get in the inlet area of the filter, if I shut the pump off to clean the filter the debris releases into the tank, I found I have to put a large net over it when turning off the pump. It is very quiet, hardly any noise. If they upgrade this with an adjustable flow it would be a definite 5+ star
