I love the pair of these I got, one for powercycling some electronics and monitoring their draw, and another one for fish tank devices like the heater, pump and lights. I can turn off the fish tank lights when we're watching a movie, and the pump runs on a schedule. Additionally having the physical buttons to turn things on and off is great, you really don't loose anything with this.     • Much improved over orbits previous Kasa version
It connects! I had a few of their kasa branded version of this and, while they're great, they tend to disconnect from the wifi. The only way to get them to reconnect is to power cycle it. It seems like this has been addressed in the Tapo version - it stays online and works great. The flat plug means i can have it plugged in behind furniture and the cord is long enough to reach where i need to sit the outlet strip. ... show more

Item is advertised to work only at 110v but also works at 220v, very easy to configure, great compatibility with Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home, good queality for your money, the only downside is that only has USB-A ports, would be great to have one with USB-C ports

The TP Link Tapo power strip was super easy to install. The Tapo App found it with no issues and even alexa an Samsung smart things found it. One con is the USB, there is no fast charging, bummer. I have not noticed any lag when switching. Wish the power cord was longer. Overall the power strip met my needs. ... show more

    • Really awesome value
As others have stated, this power strip is quite large. But in some ways that has its advantages. The plug spacing accommodates medium/small DC adapters, there are three USB-A charging ports, and each outlet has a dedicated on/off switch. I paired mine through Home Assistant and have tried both the Matter and Tapo integration. Matter works great for me with absolutely no issues. The Tapo integration also worked well and works even when you disable cloud integration to the device (I blocked the power strip from access the internet). Entities are organized better in Home Assistant using the Tapo integration but I ended up sticking with Matter as I did not want to rely on a third-party integration that may or may not be maintained long term. The good news is that with the latest firmware as of October 2025, all power monitoring features were accessible and usable via Home Assistant. The refresh intervals are about 2-3 seconds apart vs some other smart plugs I have that a roughly one second interval but it still suits my needs. I was really hoping there might be a way to independently manage each USB port’s power but unfortunately that does not seem to exist. The USB ports are powered 100% of the time that the power strip is turned on. The power strip’s main power switch is a physical toggle that can not be remotely controlled. This is not a problem for me but might be for others. Overall, I highly recommend it and believe it is a surprisingly good value considering have multiple separate smart plugs cost much more than this. Connected to Home Assistant and all the outlets are showing power monitoring and individual switch controls. It also gives an overall power output measurement for the whole strip. This Tapo device connected a little easier then some others directly to home assistant via matter.     • Beta charging feature totally worth it
I have 4 Worx chargers and a kobalt lawnmower charger. i used to have all the chargers on a timer but found they would sometimes not be completely charged afterwards. This smart power strip SOLVED that problem, It has a feature that senses when the battery is full and powers off automatically.
