This charger is perfect for keeping a rarely used car ready to go. I don't fault the charger for this (it's not designed for it), but note that the power output may not be sufficient to bring back a completely dead battery that's under load (my battery was down to just 2 volts). The unit does not put out enough current (750mW) to power the car's computer through a complete boot cycle, so it was stuck in a start boot, power off, reset loop that it was never able to break through even after many hours. After a jump start and a trip around the block so the battery had charged up enough to keep the computer on long enough to attach the trickle charger, it did it's job and fully charged the battery after a couple of days. It now keeps the battery fully charged, and properly pauses charging when the battery is full so my car will still start even if I don't drive it for a few weeks. Great value!

I purchased this to maintain and keep my Bike battery charged. it works ok but , It is not a high end device. It get the job done and maintain the battery. It will not bring a weak battery back to 100% like my other Trickle Chargers but it works great on my lawn equipment.

I have five motorcycles and I like to keep them on trickle chargers. This does the job perfect for me. They are small and cheap , they come with a long lead with sae plug , plus battery clips even a sae plug to mount on your machine. If your trying to charge a dead battery I wouldn’t recommend this , it may do it but will take a week or more. But for maintaining a battery so for they are great.
