    • Perfect for any use where moving your hands is useful
This thing is amazing! I'm kind of a platter of problems, and this thing is great for multiple uses. It helps my anxiety by giving me something to do with my hands, where I would previously just pick at the skin on my fingers or fidget with pencils so hard they'd fly across the room if I accidentally loosened my grip. This thing just twists and moves around your hand, allowing you to kind of mess with it descretely. I am also narcoleptic, and fall asleep randomly in class or otherwise. If I'm stationary for too long, I konk out. This thing is PERFECT for messing with to keep me just awake enough! If I feel I'm dozing, it's great to move my hands around with it, and the rubbery tactile outside is perfect for sensory perception and making you really notice messing with it enough that it doesn't become a second nature kind of thing, but not that it's uncomfortable in your hands. The only problem I kind of have is that it's quite large -- I'm used to fiddling with things with just a finger or two. Easily solved by removing the links! Remove two and it's about the perfect size for my normal sized hands. Do it in half to make two small fiddly things. Or leave it as it is and really pull it apart with your hands if you need bigger movements or want to use both hands. I also like to unlink a piece and keep it as a straight bit, which is also a nice new way to mess with it, as in that way you can twirl it! It's also a good color. The other one I saw was like bright pink and purple...This one is all of the scientifically soothing colors. It's nice! I would highly recommend this for anyone who fiddles with things on their desk, or with anxiety, narcolepsy or chronic tiredness, ASD or anything else. I've saved things on my desk or otherwise from being pulled apart of fiddled with that I otherwise wouldn't want broken, haha. It's the perfect toy for kids and adults alike -- but it does come apart, so if your child is using it, do be careful and supervise. ... show more

    • Helps With ADHD and Anxiety
I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and when I get hit with an anxiety attack, I tend to pick at my lip or injure my cuticles. When I got the Tangle Relax Therapy, I didn't think it would help me overcome these problems but I'm pleased to report that my lip wound has finally healed because I've stopped picking at it. Now, whenever I'm nervous or anxious, I play with the Tangle and I feel better. I like the rubbery feeling of the material that the Tangle is made of and I really like the little ridges and bumps. I sometimes separate the Tangle into two smaller pieces so that I could take one to school and the other to work. In retrospect, I like it better as a whole long piece as it not only helps me manage my anxiety, it also helps me exercise my hands. When it's shorter, it's harder to play with as the pieces won't quite rotate around enough. I actually wouldn't recommend anyone else separating the Tangle into two pieces as I did because it actually can cause hand strain. From what I've experienced, I really like it better as a whole piece the way it's intended to be used. I am just too broke to buy another Tangle. Anyway, I like that the colors are nice to look at as well - it's not too attention-grabbing so even if you took this to work or school with you, I don't think anyone would really be distracted by it. I've had coworkers as me what I was playing with but it was more because they were curious and wanted to try it out for themselves than because of how it looks. I also have ADHD and find it hard to focus on conversations. When I have the Tangle in my hands, it allows me to focus better as well. I took it to therapy a few times and found that I was able to better converse with my therapist while I had it with me. I love the Tangle therapy relax. It's my favorite of all of the types of tangles because of the texture and sound (almost noiseless). However, do I wish Tangles were more durable. It quickly became loose after just a few weeks of light use. I will continue to repurchase because it is so satisfying and helps keep my hands busy. ... show more

    • So helpful for my anxiety
This little toy has been completely invaluable to me. I don't know what I would do without it. I suffer from anxiety which can lead me into bouts of depersonalization and dissociation. Having an object to play with and focus on helps bring me back to reality and keep my mind off something I might be ruminating about in a healthier way. I also attend a support group, and while that's an important part of my recovery, that can also send me into stressful situations causing dissociation, so it really helps me focus on what others are saying without checking out. It's totally non-disruptive, so I can pull it out in my group and no one cares, but it's also discreet enough that if I want to play with it somewhere out in public where people aren't aware of my situation, I won't look like some weirdo adult playing with a toy on the bus or something. I like to just play around with it, but in especially tough times, it's really helpful to create a challenge of putting back into certain shapes and patterns I know it can go in but takes some fiddling to get to. Distraction isn't the ultimate solution to anxiety and other mental health issues, but sometimes when someone has to deal with anxiety and extreme rumination on a constant basis, the only real way to get some relief in the short term is distraction, and that can be totally healthy as long as you are aware of why you're doing it. This therapy toy is great for that, and I think it would be great for anyone of all ages. I even recommended it to someone who never really took things I do too seriously when it comes to what she might need for her own anxiety, but she tried it and decided she also loved it, so I really know it can help many people! ... show more
