With 8' ceilings you don't have many choices when it comes to ceiling fans. Most hang too low. If you've been to home improvement stores you know they don't carry more than 1 or 2 that hang less than 15 inches from the ceiling. This is one of the nicer, more modern looking ceiling fans. The instructions are easy to follow - easy to assemble and easy to connect wiring and hang. No matter what your room size is, when you look up what size the fan should be, it'll always show a size range. I purchased on the larger end of the spectrum but it looked gigantic after it was assembled! I thought I'm made a huge mistake. I'm glad I didn't send it back because now that it's up it perfect!! Anything smaller wouldn't move enough air on low to make a difference in the room. I know this because I have smaller fans in my smaller bedrooms, the type that have fan blades in the center of the light fixture. They're pretty but they don't have the span of air movement. Anyway - I highly recommend this fan for rooms that only have a 8' ceiling. 5 Stars!

I recently bought this for our front room that gets a little stuffy in the summer. It was easy to install, and it works amazing! We got the white fan, and it blends in with our ceiling, so it isn't very noticeable. The light works very well, and has two or three different color temps (I like the warm white). Also, when the light isn't on, it actually just looks like there isn't a light fixture, which I really like since that is usually the part of a ceiling fan that makes it look a little gaudy. The fan moves the air really well, and the motor is silent. It comes with a remote control. We put some command strip velcro on the back of it so that it is attached to the wall near the light switch. Love this fan so far! Would definitely buy another one!

A/C doesn’t always do the trek when the Florida sun rises and sets on one side of your house. I had this installed in my living room because the sun beats in my windows and glass doors all day. Long air-conditioning alone doesn’t keep that room as cool because of the exposure. The remote offers so many options for controlling the fan as well as the light. Great deal for the price.

It moves plenty of air, I am surprised how good it does. Zero noise from the motor. Good value The only thing I didn’t notice when purchasing is that the blades are made from hard plastic, I was expecting some sort of wood, and that there is no speed control that can be mounted in place of the existing switch on the wall only remote control.

I was looking for a new ceiling fan for my bedroom, and I was specifically looking for one with a remote control. I also wanted one that was quiet, because I don't like the sound of fans when I'm trying to sleep. I found this fan and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! I love the look of the 30 inch fan blades in my bedrooms and they blow a lot of air! The fan is able to keep me cool even on the hottest nights. The fan is also very quiet. I can barely hear it when it's on the highest setting - although I never use the highest setting due to how much air it blows on the lower settings. The remote control is also a great feature. I can turn the fan on and off, change the speed, and even change the light color with the remote. It's so convenient not having to get out of bed to adjust the fan. Additionally, installation was a breeze - pun intended :). Overall, I'm very happy with this fan. It's quiet, it blows a lot of air, and it has a remote control. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new ceiling fan.

I bought this because it was modern looking and the reviews said easy to install. This Taloya 52” ceiling fan did not live up to the great reviews. First of all, it was not easy to install for two main reasons: 1. You have to install the blades first before hanging! 2. The “hook” you hang the canopy and motor with blades isn’t a hook shape, it’s an L shape so the big canopy can easily slip off with one wrong movement. So you really need to wire the remote first, not wire it to the motor (plug in) then try to wire it to the ceiling as the directions tell you and at the same time pray the canopy doesn’t fall off the L hook. The directions aren’t clear, but if you’ve hung fans before you can figure out the best way to go about it. Also, to attach the canopy to the mounting bracket you have to loosen the screws to the ceiling because the screws on the canopy won’t fit into the mounting bracket because it’s too close to the ceiling. Then the fan shakes when it’s on so you have to slip folded cardboard into the space between the mounting bracket and ceiling. The fan and blades look cheap. The blades are obviously plastic and the light on the fan is small and toylike, although it’s bright. Seeing this in person I think it was overpriced even on sale at $88. It should be maybe $40. Also, I have to get right under the fan for the remote to work.

Installed it in less than 10 minutes!!! I absolutely love this fan!! It’s so easy to install and it works perfectly! The fan speed it great I don’t put it over 2 but it does go up to 6. The light is dimmable thank goodness cause the highest setting is like looking into the sun:) Buy it! You will not regret it!!

The fan looks great and fan works wonderful! I love the fan... The fan only. The light is horrible. It is nice and bright, which I like, but every time you turn the light on, it changes colors and no way to set it to the color you like. It also won't turn on with a light switch if you turn it off at the remote to use only the fan. If you want to use only the fan you have to to turn the light back on with the remote before it will work with your wall switch again. We have a 3 way switch for our bedroom light and this remote makes that unusable without going through extra steps to make sure your light switch works again. Just a horrible design. I'm sad, because I love how the fan looks and functions... And we already installed. It's going back though, for sure!
