Description

Like coffee? Taste the difference with our NEW patented 2 Qt. Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker. The traditional hot coffee brewing process releases undesirable acids and oils, resulting in bitter flavor and acidity that is intolerable to many. With cold brewing, only the naturally delicious coffee flavors are extracted, leaving behind the bitter oils and fatty acids, creating a perfectly balanced, smooth extraction of concentrated coffee. Once brewed, concentrated coffee can be kept fresh in our airtight Cold Brew Coffee Maker for up to 2 weeks and used for both hot and iced coffees. Makes two quarts of concentrated coffee. Proudly made in the USA!

  • Makes great cold brew and it’s easy to use. Mission accomplished.
Size: 1 qt Color: Black
I was looking for a simple cold brew maker that didn’t cost too much, and this one is perfect. This cold brew maker is simple and effective. It takes a lot of coffee and about 12-24 hours to make a batch, about 1 and 1/4 cups, but that’s just the nature of the cold brew process. The coffee you make with this thing is much less acidic than normal brew and it can save you a lot of time in the morning by having it premade. My only complaint is that the filter is quite large and takes up a lot of space, so it doesn’t make as much coffee as I would have hoped. If you need to make a significant amount of coffee then be sure and get the larger version. I also dislike the fact that it’s made out of plastic and I would prefer glass, but for the price it’s a good value for what you get. ... show more

  • Reviewed.com loves it. Sediment? Not really a problem
Size: 1 qt Color: Black
I'm updating this review. I've watched a couple vids on this thing, and everyone seems to be doing this the hard way. The basket it tall and skinny. You have to hold it and spoon the coffee in. Ho hum, what a bother. Wait a minute! No you don't! This is much easier: Before you fill the brewer with water, just plop the basket into it, which holds it for you. Then you can simply pour the coffee into the basket directly from the bag it comes in, one handed, while you smoke a $25 cigar with the other hand! There. That was a lot easier, wasn't it? Then, remove the basket, screw the lid on, fill the container with water, and you're golden. It's watertight, so shake it a few times. They recommend 24-36 hours. There's a couple ways to speed that up. Heat a quart of water in the microwave, but not quite to boiling, and use that water. The plastic is rated for it. Then let it sit out overnight. Cold brew can easily exist at these temps for 12 hours or more. Warmer temps = quicker cold brew. Reviewed.com thinks this is the best cold brew pitcher out there. I agree. It is a marvel of engineering. Everything about it is just perfect. Whenever you pick it up, fill it, clean it, or use it, it's fun, because it feels solid and elegant, and well-thought-out. And the price is right. The only thing that could make it better is a water-line mark for filling (added my own). And, it's cute! Do you have to remove the basket after 24-36 hours? No. I leave it in until the cold brew is gone. No problem. Day 4 will be a tiny bit stronger than day 1. Is sediment really an issue? Let's put that one to bed, right now. In a word, no. It's really not. Sediment has a couple of minor problems. But the biggest problem it has is that it might be visually unappealing. The other issue is has is it can impart a gritty feel to the palate. Other than that, it really has no other issues at all. But there are simple ways around this, much simpler than refiltering. What is sediment? Is sediment a bad word? Again, no. Sediment is coffee. It has the exact chemical structure as the molecules suspended between water molecules in the rest of the coffee. So it is not something to be abhorred because it might be ruining your coffee. It actually is coffee, so that would be impossible. And you can ignore it. Sediment is clumps of those same coffee molecules too large to be suspended along with the other molecules, so it sinks to the bottom of the brewer, or to the bottom of the cup. Just pour from the brewer, and the sediment (99% of it) stays behind. If any gets in your cup, it sinks to the bottom. About the worst that could happen is that there could be a slight gritty texture to the very last drops in your cup. Your very last half-sip as you drain the cup. That’s it. If you don’t like that, just don’t do that. Stop when all that is left is the tiny bit of sediment (and the cup will clean easier, too). But it doesn’t taste bad. It tastes like coffee. It is coffee. It is honestly not a problem. And if you are put off by the visual of sediment, you can ignore that, too. It sinks, so it’s out of sight. This brewer does create sediment. Is it a problem? No. And if you want even less sediment, just use a coarse ground, and let the brewer sit another day longer. Grinding the coffee yourself in a hand grinder (actually kind of fun!) will give the least sediment, if done properly. The secret to long life is flexibility. Cold-brew is a sea change, it’s different than what we were used to for generations. But it’s better in many ways. It’s a welcome change. It’s a new paradigm, and is the new normal. If you can get over the fact that coffee you have been used to does not have sediment, and that cold-brew might have a small amount (which is not problematic and is both easily ignored and avoided) then you’re golden. I've used this brewer for 4 years. It's still going strong, and never disappoints. ... show more

  • I love this
Size: 1 qt Color: Black
I typically only drink cold coffee. This allows me to always have some ready. Easy to use, clean, does not require "cold brew" grounds. I wish I had bought the bigger size. Have recommended and would buy again.

  • Made delicious cold brew! Not dishwasher safe.
Size: 1 qt Color: Black
I've made my first cold brew! I used finely ground coffee (it recommends corse) and it still turned out amazing. The filter feels very high quality and no grounds have been found in the coffee! Set up and making cold brew was easy, but disposing of the grounds is a bit messy (might figure out an easier way as I use it more). Only thing that got a star off is because it is advertised as dishwasher safe. We prefer to use the heated dry and heated water settings on our dishwasher, but just by feeling the plastic, it would definitely not survive in our dishwasher at all. Luckily it doesn't seem hard to clean by hand. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves iced coffee and doesn't mind hand washing a small pitcher! ... show more

  • Well designed and great price
Size: 1 qt Color: Black
Perfectly designed, well constructed, reasonably priced and makes brewing iced coffee a cinch. There is not a single negative review I read that I can agree with. Here’s what I appreciate about the pitcher: I ordered the smaller of the two sizes available. It is perfect to fit in the fridge without taking up too much space, and since cold brew is a concentrated coffee, the pitcher I make on Sunday produces enough for my afternoon iced coffee M-F. I like that the handle is rubberized for good grip and the pitcher itself is plastic for easy handling. The filter and cap have a screw in place that sort of snaps into place on the last quarter turn- this is awesome for people like me who have a tendency to miss the threads when tightening caps, which would be disastrous when shaking this... ;-) I also like that’s super simple to use, cleaning it is very simple (I hand wash it, I’m hoping this will help avoid the staining I except from coffee) and yields delicious iced coffee at home. Here are just a few of the comments I saw in negative reviews that are misguided, in case you’re wondering... 1) Lightweight plastic: this pitcher should be light weight as the contents have to be shaken. I would not want to shake a glass pitcher! 2) Water doesn’t flow through coffee, leaving dry clumps, wasting coffee and resulting in weak brew. The instructions indicate the pitcher needs to be shaken numerous times during brewing and the instructional video even shows how to do this. The coffee grounds are light, and will float in water. You have to shake it to force the water through and prevent the coffee grounds from settling in place. 3) This isn’t enough coffee for me. Why is this even a negative review of the product? Anywho, if you’re not familiar with cold brew, read up on it first. It’s a concentrate, it’s not intended to be consumed undiluted. Even if you want to drink this black, it should be diluted with water. It’s all in the instructions. Hope this is useful information. The product is awesome and reasonably priced. ... show more
