I don't know if you've looked lately, but even half way decent universal bore sights aren't cheap and the cheap ones are...well...cheap. I don't do many product reviews, but this is bang for the buck and works great. The packaging alone is quality. Instructions are limited but it's relatively straight forward if you know what you are doing a little bit. If you don't know what you are doing what some youtube vids. It feels sturdy in your hand, the switch is not chincy, and it secures well in the barrel. What's not to like? Paid for mine and they most certainly are not holding my family hostage and forcing me to write this if I ever want to see them again (btw).

Absolutely brilliant. The ease of use of this is great. It's so versatile and it's small and mobile. Comes in a box. Great design and unbelievable value. This boresighter is quality made. It's all metal construction shows it will last. First of all the box it comes in says a lot about what kind of product Tacticon produces. The marketing folks went above and beyond to make the appearance of product exceptional. The boresighter comes with not 1 but 2 batteries which is a plus. All the needed tools comes with this kit. The only thing I would change is how the different tips are packaged. It would have been nice if there were individual holes in the packaging to house the different tips instead of all shoved in a small zip lock bag. That is the ONLY thing I would recommend for them to change. This boresighter is top notch and a great addition to any gun enthusiasts kit. Well done Tacticon!

DO NOT USE - CAN EASILY LEAD TO DISCHARGING THE WEAPON WITH A BARREL OBSTRUCTION, WHICH IS POTENTIALLY FATAL. IF YOU DO BUY THIS, MAKE SURE TO HAVE A TOOL AVAILABLE TO CLEAR THE BARREL AND USE EVERY TIME. KEEP LIVE AMMO FAR AWAY FROM THIS BOOBY TRAP. DETAILS: Instructions claim to screw the different caliber attachments to the laser portion, and the laser portion does have a female threaded cylinder. However, the caliber attachments have no threading whatsoever, and don't screw onto anything. I checked each of the .22LR/.223, 9mm, .45 and the largest caliber attachment. All lacked threads of any sort. They're just simple flimsy plastic dongle things that expand as they are pressed into a barrel. This means they are effectively held inside the barrel by the pressure of the laser rod as you push it. So when you withdraw the rod after usage, the caliber attachment remains in the barrel as, contrary to the instructions, it doesn't screw onto anything or firmly attach to the laser's rod in any way. Moreover, the package included an allen wrench and screwdriver with no explanation for their intended purpose. It seems like they just threw a bunch of stuff together and called it a laser sighting kit. This is by far the lowest quality, highest danger item I've ever purchased on amazon - and this includes many firearm and motorcycle accessories. It should be recalled.

Pretty easy to use after you get the attachments on the laser arm. But from there its very self explanatory on how it works and easily it works. Definitely recommend for sighting in all rifles. Plus I used it on a handgun to make sure the barrel and my after market laser lined up correctly.

Great price and quick delivery. It seems very well made, and came with enough screws for each adapter, plus the tools needed to set the laser up. As a test, I installed it on a 6.5 CM rifle. I started with the 30 cal adapter but it proved way to large to enter the bore.After several more tries I ended up finding the .235-7.62x39 was the best fit. I bring this up because what is printed on the bag isn’t necessarily the correct fitting. Go by size. As in the instructions it states this is for indoor use (laser power?). If you look at the pictures, you will see 2 outside test I did. It was near dark, but the low area was around 50m, and the telephone pole was just short of 500 ft. This system should be more than adequate for outdoor use.. A couple of improvement ideas, make a series of common size adapters and also offer additional inside/ outside targets for sale

I used to own another brand for the past several years. It did serve me well but it had bunch of issues especially with the on/off switch. I got this product just a couple of days ago. It was very well packaged. It has all the calibers you need (and more) it is easy to use. To top it all, it is third of the price of my old one. Lastly it was great to get a personalized note from the owner ( a us combat vet). Of course time will tell how well this product will hold up. For now I am very happy with it. Btw I bore sighted 4 rifle scopes already and mine was very well aligned.
