    • Good Camera, but...
I just purchased this camera and set it up in my backyard for testing. I found the picture quality to be very good, and the app works well. However, some things are not so good. First, the PIR angle is very narrow. It is somewhere between 33° and 45°. So the target has to come in nearly head-on and will move out of frame quickly. Another problem as I see it, is that videos cannot be viewed through the app unless you request Tacticam to send it to you. And of course, there is a fee. The videos are stored on the SD card, but you have to physically pull the card out of the camera and view it on another device. This would be a major hassle if the camera is set up in a remote location unless you have no problem with paying an additional fee to have it sent to you. I'm not willing to do that. The narrow angle that the camera detects, plus the fact that you can't view videos through the app are two major sticking points. If those two things were corrected, this camera would be a solid 5-star. The point of having a cell camera is convenience. This camera does not offer that entirely. I'll use it for a while to see how much of a pain it is to recover videos. If it turns out to be an issue, I'll return it. ... show more

This camera works really well. I've had no issues. Takes great pics. Getting to know the camera is a little difficult as instructions are not very helpful. However, customer service is helpful and You tube has instructions as well. I would have given it a 5 star if instructions were better. Can't go wrong with this camera. ... show more
