  • Amazing New Camera
I've had multiple Moultrie cameras all over the country for years, however all of those are the Delta models. I have no previous experience with any other brand so take this how you will. This new camera battery life is FAR superior to the DELTA models. I have an active trail system and pictures are taken often. Normally I would need to swap out batteries every 4 - 6 weeks. The new EVO camera has been active for 4 months and still has 17% battery remaining. Even with that said swapping the batteries is super easy with the new slide out battery tray. Another wonderful update is the no SD card. In the past I had multiple cards go bad or for some reason wasn't compatible with the camera. Moultrie has fixed that by eliminated the need for an additional expense of an SD card. The new camera also has a button on it to test the camera. This sounds simple but being able to check the angle of the camera is so much nicer than getting down from the ladder dancing in front of it to get it to triggering. I also like the new antenna that folds into the side of the camera for easy storage. I don't know if they increased the ability of the antenna but I am able to put a camera down in the holler now where the DELTA camera wouldn't get a signal. Last thing I will mention is their customer service. I had one of my cameras go bad, I honestly think it was the cheap batteries I put in it. I called Moultrie customer service and they walked me through trouble shooting it. When nothing worked they emailed me a return slip and sent me a new camera. So nice to talk to a real person and get real service. Oh last thing to mention, I am always nervous about people stealing my cameras. When I don't get a picture in a few days I tend to get worried. The new cameras have the option to take a test photo once a day. Such an anxiety reducer. ... show more

  • If you are having an issue and think your camera is BRICKED READ MY POST!
I wanted to share my experience with everyone because I found nothing on the internet about this but it is clearly a thing. I have bought 10 of these cameras and I could not figure out why 5 of them were all doing the EXACT same thing right out of the box. Little did I know, its probably a software bug and I just didn't do the same thing when I activated the other 5 cameras. Here is what my problem was... After I purchased the camera plan while adding the camera,**** I chose the option to have Photo+Video.**** I then turned the camera on for the first time as the directions said. The camer boots, connects and then takes a software/firmware update. The camera then reboots and connects. The app even shows it checked in perfectly fine. The next thing that happens is the camer goes into useable mode and when it sees movement turns the video on. The IFR lights come on and the green light comes on like its taking a video. The problem is, the video camera never stops and it never uploads the video. It doesnt matter how many times you turn it off and back on, it just continues to happen until the batteries are dead which is very fast considering the camera is permanently on. After a bunch of trial and error i discovered what snaps the camera out of it. 1. Turn Camera off. 2. Go into the camera settings on the app. 3. Change the setting to Photo only. NOT PHOTO+VIDEO 4. Turn camera back on. 5. Do something in front of the camera and wait for it to show up on the gallery in the app. 6. At this point once you have gotten your first photo upload, you can switch it back to PHOTO+VIDEO and BOOM....it works. This solution fixed all 5 of my cameras that I thought were not uploading or bricked. Moultrie, Please research this and share this information with your customers. There is a lot of people saying they had bricked cameras and I bet this is why! Overall, the camera is amazing for its price. I got 6 cameras for the price of 1 of the newer fancy ones. They take great pictures. You just have to request the HD picture or video. They do make a click sound in the dark but i have never once seen an animal spook from it. 5 stars!!! ... show more

  • Good results, Great customer service!
Pros: Very happy with the image quality both day and night from these cameras! I was pleasantly surprised by the distance covered in the night images and the clarity day and night is great. Also, very pleased with the trigger speed and distance I've gotten with my setups. Better then expected just compared to history with multiple brands of other cams. I really enjoy the ability to change the camera setup and settings anytime I please with the mobile app. Cons: I had one of the cameras fail on me within the first few days. I started getting purple images and times where it seemed day and night images were mixed. I went through the trouble shooting steps with no success so I contacted customer service. This is where things went better then I expected. Customer service went over the issue and also tried trouble shooting with me and concluded the issue couldn't be resolved so immediately setup and went through the process for warranty return with me. When I got off the phone, they had already sent the email with the shipping label and instructions for returning my defective cam and receiving my warranty replacement. The process was quick and easy and I had my new cam within a week! No troubles or issues with function or use of either since thankfully! The only other con I would say is sometimes images can be a little slow to come across through the app even though I show excellent signal strength. Also, I would prefer to get the videos upon request instead of having to wait for the camera to take the next image and sending me the requested video at that time which may be the next day. Overall: Overall I would say I'm pleased with this purchase and the results I get using these cams. Very pleased and thankful for the quick and helpful customer service. The images and video look great and I love the versatility provided by the control with the app. Even considering the issue I had at first with one of the cams, with my overall experience, I would purchase these again. ... show more

  • Exactly as advertised
These things are really cool trail cams. Super simple and straightforward to get setup. It hasn't been overly motion sensitive. So I'm not getting lots of pictures of the wind blowing vegetation like I have with other cameras with the sensitivity up high. Construction seems solid. The only annoying thing is the photos aren't giving me a notification when it takes a new one. But that might be an app issue or something with my phone settings. Super cool, simple and definitely a good value for the money. So far it can pick up deer movement accurately at least out like 30 yards. ... show more

  • Poor detection
I wanted to really like these cameras. Good price point, affordable plans for multiple cameras, etc. However the performance of these cameras are disappointing to say the least. The app and set up of the cameras is fast and easy, can’t complain there. Seems to connect much easier than my older Moultrie cell cam model. However, the problem lies with the detection capabilities. I bought 10 of these cameras to replace most of my standard SD card cameras and transition to primarily cell cams to avoid having to travel to multiple farms and climb hills every couple weeks, etc. the first couple weeks I loved these cameras. Like I mentioned, all of them connected and was sending pictures, what’s not to like? However, it wasn’t until I was hunting one morning and watched a couple does walk by my camera and realized later that day I never received a picture. I thought it might have been a fluke so over the next few days, I purposely walked in front of my cameras getting in and out of my stands. To my amazement, they rarely caught me walking in front of them, like literally maybe 30-40% of the time would I get a picture sent. Not only that, but had a few more deer walk in front of my cameras while hunting at some of my stands and didn’t get a picture. I’ve now realized (after unfortunately buying 10 of these) that these cameras simply do not detect everything that walks in front of them. With being nearly fully reliant on the intel trail cameras provide, I feel as though these cameras really hurt my hunting this season, as I truly don’t know how many deer these cameras could’ve missed between 10 cameras at various locations. I can’t recommend another brand of cell cam as opposed to Moultrie, as they’re the only brand I’ve tried, but I am very disappointed in these cameras and will look to sell these to start fresh with another brand, or stick to the tried-and-true SD cameras next season. ... show more

  • Greta product
They take great pictures and don’t get their lenses fogged up during wet weather. I did have one small issue during set-up. I activated the camera and left but did not get any pictures. Be sure to close the app out after you activate the camera and restart it. I got all of the pictures that the camera had been taking, the app just wasn’t processing them. ... show more

  • Great Photos & Videos - CS could be better
I purchased 2 of these cameras last hunt season (2024), and am just now writing the review as I contemplate how many new cameras I want/need. They take excellent photos and videos - I caught TONS of deer and other wildlife, and even people - not hunters - walking up to my blind (grrrrr!), but the camera went through batteries like water, even on the lowest number of pics/videos. Didn't matter what the temperature was, though they did drain a bit faster in the cold. I'm 3 hours away, so purchased the rechargeable battery for THIS hunt season (2025). Unfortunately, when I installed it during testing, it got stuck in the camera. The eject button doesn't work with it. *heavy sigh*. I was able to get it out, but I don't want to have to take the camera down every time the battery needs to be charged if the battery continues to get stuck. I'm going to have to rig a "pull" for it. I haven't tried it (battery) in the woods yet. Of the 2 cameras I bought, I did have a problem with one of them - it totally burned out the day after I put it in the woods. The camera caught motion, started a video, and stayed on until the lenses fried. Literally. They actually melted and turned black. The video went from a beautiful woods shot to all white when the lenses burned out. I'm SO GLAD it didn't catch fire! Could have burned the woods down. I see some kind soul wrote a review with a FIX for that. Wish I had known sooner as I couldn't get Moultrie to replace the camera (it was only 2 weeks old), so I threw it away. But THANK YOU, SIR! YOU'RE MY HERO OF THE DAY!!! The software is decent, and I didn't have any connectivity issues or lag. Just make sure you get all updates as they come because portions of the app won't work if you don't. I see they've added some features. I'll be interested to see how they work out. For reference, the video and photo are from the same camera. The pines in the distance in the photo are about 25yds from the camera, maybe a wee bit closer. It won't allow me to add more than one video to show you, but I can see the deer all the way to the pines even in the dark. I think that's pretty good, as this is my bow blind and I don't need long shots. I only gave 3 stars because of the ruined camera, and customer service wasn't the greatest. The camera was still under warranty, yet I had no resolution to the issue. But overall, I think these are pretty good for the money! ... show more
