I have been using this to jump start a 2004 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.7 V8. I say be patient because of this, if I hook it to the battery and immediately try to start it, the starter will click and not turn the engine over. However, even with the 800cca battery and the V8, if I hook up the charge box, then wait 4-5 minutes, then turn the key, she cranks really fast and fires up every time. This unit is small and easy to carry, and if you give it a few minutes to transfer power to the battery, you are good to go in almost any situation.

First, the price is excellent. Second, it shipped right away. Third, it was packaged well. Fourth, the actual product packaging (carrying case, cables, etc.) is very good. Fifth—and very importantly—it came fully charged! That was a vital feature, because I immediately needed it to started my grandson’s car. He had left the car with me during his summer college break, and the battery died unexpectedly. The car (a 2018 Honda Civic) was parked in a place where no other vehicle could come near it for a jump start. Right out of the box, this handy little unit started my grandson’s car 3 times in 2 days. So I was able to start the car, back it out of its tight spot and drive straight to AutoZone for a new battery. Easy-peezy! I’m delighted with everything about this handy charger—including the orange color (which I love)! You can spend more … but why would you? Highly recommended.

Because of the small size I was skeptical about the performance. My 2003 Ford F350, 6.8L diesel would barely crank due to low batteries, I hooked up the booster and the engine spun and started like it had new batteries. Everyone should have one, just in case!

Bought this as a precaution. 1 or 2 weeks later the battery in my truck started dying. This begs the question, would my battery have died if I didn't buy this jump pack? Anyway, easily jumped the 4.6L V8 in my F150. I am a lazy guy when it comes to auto repair, and the truck battery would charge enough to start most of the time, so I used this jump pack for a couple of weeks before replacing the truck battery. I could get 4 or 5 jumps off of the pack before it got down to 1 bar and I felt it needed to be recharged. It never failed to jump the truck immediately every time I needed it to. I knocked a star off because the contacts in the plug end of the jumper cables seem to be getting loose. They seem to push back into the little plastic box a bit, and I might have to take that little box apart to glue or wedge something in there to fix it. Might just be a defect on my unit. I never dropped or misused this thing, so I know it wasn't something I did. It still works though, and overall, I'm pleased.

First, unlike other units I've purchased for other vehicles, this did not have a case. The battery pack is extremely light compared to others I've bought. I mean 25% of the weight of others. As a result it feels very cheap. Last, you have to HOLD down the power button to turn on the light. I thought the light wasn't working after pushing the button multiple times, then decided to hold the button down and it came on. Haven't needed to use it, won't know if it actually works until then.

The first chance I had to use this Jump pack was my neighbors snow plow truck which had gotten stuck and he failed to shut off his lights and left the trucks sit overnight. When I came by to pull it out the battery was dead so offered this Jump pack and it started the truck with no issues at all. Temperatures were below zero at the time. The next use I tried it on was on older wrecker I own which is a Diesel, 7.3 and both batteries are aged and worn out to be honest. When the truck didn't start after a large snowfall I took out this Jump pack and gave it a shot/try.. To my amazement it it gave the truck just enough power to start but with a shot of Either to aid the engine fire. I don't care for the shortness or quality of the cables that come with nor do I like the large plastic plug end as I see this as a weak spot which could break easily. If they would make it sturdier I would likely purchase nother for I have a lot of vehicles which at times need a little boost to start in the winter months. Otherwise its a decent little tool, Jump pack for the money$..
