I’ve been using the SwitchBot Lock Vision Pro for a week, and it’s easily one of the most impressive smart home upgrades I’ve made. I wanted a lock that offered more than just a keypad or fingerprint reader, and this one delivers with multiple unlocking options that fit different situations. The feature I use most is the 3D face recognition. Being able to walk up to my front door and have it unlock automatically without pulling out my phone or keys has quickly become something I take for granted. When I want a touch-free option, the palm vein recognition works well and adds another convenient way to unlock the door. The fingerprint reader is also fast and responsive, giving me a reliable backup whenever I want it. Installation was straightforward, and I appreciated that I didn’t have to replace my existing deadbolt. Once everything was installed, the setup process guided me through enrolling my biometric data and connecting the lock to my Wi-Fi. I also added it to Apple Home through Matter, and it has integrated well with the rest of my smart home. In everyday use, the lock has been dependable. The motor operates smoothly, auto-lock works as expected, and I like receiving notifications whenever the door is locked or unlocked. Not needing a separate hub is another plus, since it keeps the setup simple and reduces clutter. Battery life has also been encouraging. While I haven’t owned it long enough to verify the full advertised battery life, the battery level has remained strong with normal daily use, and I haven’t had to think much about it. The only minor downside for me is that there are a lot of features and settings available. That’s great once everything is configured, but it does mean spending a little extra time during the initial setup to customize everything the way you want. Overall, I’ve been very happy with the SwitchBot Lock Vision Pro. It combines convenience, multiple secure unlocking methods, solid smart home integration, and reliable day-to-day performance into a product that genuinely makes coming and going easier. It’s one of those smart home devices that quickly becomes part of your daily routine, and after using it, I wouldn’t want to go back to carrying keys all the time.

Amazing product - super easy to install and comes with so much flexibility and functionality - it is clearly the best intelligent smart lock on the market today! Switchbot products are always superbly made and the entire package from hardware to software is unbeatable (including remote-access) . Install - including connectivity - was 10 minutes - removed an old "smart" lock and had this one going in 10 mins. 2 things to remember (I did these!) - the large rechargeable block battery needs a good charge - get er going as soon as you open the box - and make sure you don't put the deadbolt in upside down - it wont work that way. Luckily Switchbot put a little "bum" on the turny piece to indicate the "right way" - don't ignore that. Like I did! Can do codes, fingerprints, facial scans and palm scans - all of which were super easy to set up and confirm. Even auto-locking was easy to set up. Want to try NFC chips someday in my wallet! Like - I said - they thought of everything. Well worth the price for the functionality,

Great Idea, Slightly Bossy Voice I mostly use the face unlock but it doesn’t activate soon enough so it takes a few seconds to finally unlock. Wish the light wouldn’t turn from white to green until it’s actually unlocking. The green just means it recognized your face and is now going to unlock for you. The Switchbot app and smart home integration are nice. I wanted the face unlock to be my main option, but it’s not very fast. Frequently as I’m leaving my house the voice tells me to “stand straight and face the device,” which gets annoying since I just opened the door and I’m walking out. Wish for the price it wasn’t so plasticky and the cover for the sensors should be something strong and durable. Seems like it’s a plastic that could scratch easily. With all that being said the product is clearly good quality and ultimately does work well. Love the convenience overall and would recommend getting it. Not disappointed with my purchase. I really wish the voice could be changed.

I'm on my second SwitchBot Lock Vision Pro. The first one had some problems, but SwitchBot replaced it quickly and with no hassle, which says a lot about their support. The replacement has been solid. Face, palm, and fingerprint unlock all work well, the keypad is handy, and it connects over WiFi and directly into my homes matter (HomeAssistant and Apple Home). It's been a big upgrade over my old Eufy lock. The one issue is the door open/closed sensor. Both locks have had the same problem. Even with the magnet placed exactly where the instructions say, it doesn't reliably detect whether the door is open or closed. Running the calibration fixes it, but the next time the door is opened it stops working again. It's not a dealbreaker, but I'd like to see a fix. I hope for a firmware upgrade to fix that. Otherwise I'm happy with it, and I'd recommend it if you can live without the door sensor or SwitchBot sorts it out.

Really impressed with this lock so far. The face recognition unlock is fast and reliable even at night, and having the palm and fingerprint options as backups gives good peace of mind. My last lock was only via Bluetooth, and I had plenty of problems with it, getting me locked outside my house many times. Not with this one. Setup was straightforward, it just needs you to download the app and to connect to your wifi, and it's all done. Auto-lock works exactly as expected, and it's nice knowing the battery is rated for a full year instead of swapping batteries every few weeks like other smart locks I've tried. Also a huge plus that it works with Matter, so I was able to connect it to Home Assistant very easily and integrate it with all of my smart home features. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their front door.

This has been one of the most frustrating products I’ve purchased in years. I spent over six hours trying to get it to work, and the experience only got worse from there. The instructions are unclear and inconsistent. The app directions don’t match the actual product, and customer support provided incorrect information when I reached out. To make matters worse, there’s no phone support—so you’re stuck troubleshooting on your own. Functionally, it’s unreliable. It announces “stand up straight” every time someone walks past the door, locks when I tell it to unlock, and unlocks when I tell it to lock. It also seems to only work on certain door configurations (a knob on one side only), which isn’t clearly stated anywhere. On top of all that, shipping took six weeks. I cannot recommend this product. Save yourself the time, frustration, and hassle—look elsewhere

Update 2: Still waiting on a firmware update that fixes Matter support. Do not buy this lock!!!! The company is not supporting it obviously. It makes me reluctant to purchase anything else from Switchbot. I feel like I waste money when I could have purchased a lock from another company that actually worked with Matter. Update: I got the firmware update but the Matter integration is still broken! When connected by Matter, It still does not report every time it is unlocked or locked, nor does it report every time the door is opened or closed. Skip buying this lock if you need it to work with matter. If you only use bluetooth or the Switchbot app for this lock, then it works as expected. Original: This is an ok lock. The firmware needs an update badly though! The matter integration is spotty at best. While it stays connected on matter, you never know if it is going to accept the matter command or report the lock and door status while using matter. Sometimes it updates that it was unlocked or locked when using matter. Sometimes it updates that the door was opened or closed using matter. It never does both at the same time using matter. I use it with Home Assistant and ended up having to rely on the bluetooth integration to get it to report properly. The lock is kind of annoying in that when you open the door to exit your home, it will trigger the lock to wake up and get ready for unlocking (even though you just unlocked it). It will announce for you to ‘stand up straight’ while it is trying to find a face to scan. Why do this when the lock is already in the unlocked position and the door isn't closed? I had high hopes since it had so many features. I hope they release an update that addresses the lock’s shortcomings. It clearly was not ready for selling to consumers in its current state!

Installation was pretty straightforward, and having so many ways to unlock the door is really convenient. The palm vein unlock is the feature I use the most, it’s so quick and works well even for the little kids' hands. Face recognition is decent too, although I wish it reacted a little faster. Kids will need to be tall enough for the kids recognition. I connected with Alexa and works good with Alexa Routines and remote locking. Overall, it’s a super convenient upgrade and my family is happy with it.
