The media could not be loaded. Works and does a pretty good job in sucking up leaves and debris but there are some areas that need to be improved. The main issue will be the hose. Where it attaches to the device kinks up. You may get a stiffer hose but I think a more flexible attachment adapter would work better. I thought I ordered the one where it was included. You should probably look for it. This is available under different names and sellers but looks to be the same thing. You can have the hose attached without an adapter but you're going to have to work from left to right to avoid binding up the hose. If you want to attach the hose to the pole I find velcro straps to be the best choice. You can easily remove it after you're done as opposed to zip ties. But you will have your hose kink up sometimes. Best to just hook up your hose and work left to right. The overall construction seems ok. Its not high end thick construction quality but its not low cheap plastic either. I would say a little below medium quality. You wanna be somewhat careful with it. Dropping it on concrete will probably crack it easily. With some tweaks this is a must have if you own a pool. Using the pool vacuum to suck up leaves and large debris often clogs up your hose. And you don't want all that in your filter system. 😉👍

Simple vacuum head for pools. Screw in your outdoor water hose and get an extension rod. It's a slow process to vacuum up the debris at the bottom of the pool but effective.

This thing is FANTASTIC. 2/3's circumstances combined with 1/3 laziness prevented my family from closing our pool this year. Early sub-20's weather had me abruptly rip-apart the pump and plumbing. Our pool became a water-feature. Loaded with leaves, algae, etc. That's where this bad boy comes in. I'd been running our robot, which I figure would have taken 100 or more cycles to vacuum up all the leaves. This thing pulled two kitchen trash-bags worth out in an hour. RECOMMENDATION: I'd read numerous reviews stating this was cheap, and that the hose fitting would break on the first or second use. I can see why this happens. To combat this, I used 8" zip ties, and zip-tied the hose to the telescoping pole, leaving a little slack for the hose/pole to operate. This takes all the pressure off the hose attachment, and I HIGHLY recommend that everyone consider doing this. Otherwise, yes, it is cheap plastic and yes, it looks likely to break from the pressure. In this configuration however, there didn't appear to be any stress on the hose fitting at all. So thank you to those who warned that it would break!

Nice to have when Polaris isn’t working. Does a good job getting leaves from bottom of the pool, but it requires some effort. Not the every day chore this old man wants to do, but I’m glad I have it when it’s necessary.

This Leaf Gulper is simply AMAZING! I have several beautiful trees near my pool & my automatic cleaner just ignores the leaves! Bought this & literally Cleaned a 4 ft round area of leaves in my deep end in about 6 minutes! Hooks to your hose & the water force just instantly sucks them up! Awesome product & worth every penny!!

Does a excellent job of cleaning. It gets all the fine dirt and debris up as well as the larger debris. My only complaints are that the section that goes into the pole is too long. I had to cut a 1/2 inch off and it was fine. Also it’s hard to keep the floor of your outside the pool cleaning. This would probably be better if you were in the pool cleaning. Overall a great product.

This is the best tool I could have used for the miserable job I had. My geese broke through the pool cover and turned the pool into a pond. What a disgusting mess! I left it for dead until I saw this tool and felt some hope. I read the review and ordered the fine mesh bag, thank God ( Pentair Leaf Eater Fine Mesh Silt Bag # 75033BU 185-03 ) it really does the job. However - do yourself a favor and get two more items that really made the job manageable. There's no cut off valve on this vaccum, so get a plastic hose adapter with a cut off switch from the hardware store and install it between the vaccum and the hose where the hose attaches to the vaccum. Otherwise you'll have to have a 2nd person to cut the water on and off everytime. I put an additional "Y" hose adapter with two valves at the point before the hose section dropped into the pool, with an additional section of hose on the "Y" so I had a hose still available for rinsing or whatever without having to keep freeing the hose from the vaccum. Anyway, now I've got a swimming pool again, thank God and without having to drain the whole darn thing to clean it. Lesson Learned? Eat the geese for thanksgiving and christmas!

At about $25-30.00, I didn't have high expectations for this leaf vacuum. It actually does a great job of using your hose pressure to blow debris and leaves in the net. The only drawback I've found is that it's a hassle to get the net "clean" again - large debris is simple, but the finer stuff sticks all throughout it.
