I’m not good with tools, and a model that mounted on a wall was too much for me. I was able to view a video, and while there were some hiccups, I got it together by myself. It’s not especially sturdy, but it’s not hard to move and for the money, I’m pleased. The net tore almost immediately, but I can live with that. I am updating the review, about six months later. I thought the base of the unit wasn't sufficiently weighted, so I set a 40-pound bag of salt on it, which I ended up using during a snowstorm. When the weather warmed up, a strong wind blew the unit over and bent the hoop beyond repair. I tried calling two numbers the company provided, but no one answered, and when I tried to leave a message, the mailboxes were full. However, I sent an e-mail, and I was pleasantly surprised to get a quick response. They only required the order number and a picture of the damaged piece, and they sent me a replacement, no charge and no additional requirements. This is so hard. It was easy to install until I saw the damaged back board. I thought this was shattered proof. Can you all at least bubble wrap the backboard so it won’t be damaged during shipping even if this item really isn’t shattered proof.

    • Cheap net but otherwise fine.
Love it. The net degraded and fell apart quickly, but the hoop itself and backboard have survived over a year and gotten a lot of use. We are in a high wind area so we have the sand in the base and sand bags on top of the base - so far it has held up.

Assembled this, put weighted stuff in the bottom-it blew over multiple times, messing up the rim. The 3rd or 4th time the rim was damaged beyond repair. I ordered a "universal" rim to replace it. It didn't fit, but by the time I had time to try to install it it was too late to get my money back. Tried calling "customer service." There is no customer service. Literally-zero. It tells you to leave a message or send an email. I did both to see if they had a replacement rim i could buy. Never heard back. I ordered a different goal, cemented it in and have had no issues at all. ... show more
