This system works great I have it inside of my building so I can't say how well Night Vision Works because I keep a light on all the time but they do work great over my kennels in my shop so I can keep an eye on my dogs at all times they perform well and are easy to use no complaints at this point

Save yourself from some serious frustration. I have been pulling my hair out trying to tune the motion sensitivity. After a month I noticed my settings were reverting back to default. This happened several times. I called support and opened a ticket. This time, I took photos and the very next day my changes went back to default, overnight. I emailed support and attached photos. No response after a few days. I called support and they give you an option for a callback without losing your place in line. My wait time was 5 minutes. After 45 minutes, I called again, and the system said I already had a pending callback. So, I waited another 20 minutes. I also email them with the ticket while waiting for the callback. I finally received a callback, the system or person hung up, moments later I received an email stating my ticket was closed. Do not reply and reopen a new ticket. I am now on hold for another 22 minutes and still waiting, again. Customer service is a complete joke, and I can't send this unit back. Oh, Swann wants you to pay for Secure Plus to avoid the "hold cue". I gather they make it frustrating on purpose, so you sign up. The Swann warranty exchange is a complete joke. No customer service, but they need a credit card, or it takes two weeks for an exchange. However, when you call, nobody understands what you need. I sent this back to Amazon for a refund. Fast shipping and came in a well packed manufacturers box so I "KNEW" it was a new unit, Installed easily (direct replacement) for cabling and all, Configured easily but had a few questions that the lack of instructions did NOT provide for, SOOOO next came the Tech Support call which went Very smoothly and resolved all my issues including lack of instructions (emailed to me) At this point the 1080P cameras are still in place but the quality of my video has been greatly enhanced even without the 4k camera's that are to be installed tomorrow. THE ONLY DRAWBACK was lack of a backup storage device (thumb drive) that I took from my old unit and am now using,,,,Overall I was quite pleasantly surprised. For the money spent I dont think you can beat this one. BE AWARE... When you upgrade from 1080 to 4K You will need to upgrade your HDMI cable to 4K or you will get a lack of video results. UUPDATE...After trying to get hi quality resolution with motion, I find that the cameras that came with this system only have a maximum frame rate of 7......YES I SAID 7......THIS IS EXTREMELY LOW QUALITY as a rating of 20+ is what is needed and I am now in the throws of having to get Swann's Customer Service to upgrade my cameras OR BUY NEW ONES......i AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS CAMERA SYSTEM.......DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOUR EXPECTING QUALITY. This package was assembled so they could sell a lot of inferior cameras........END OF STORY ... show more

Very poor instruction. They talk about mobile phone but nothing about the computer. Gad to spend lots of hours trying to find the software to download .

The night vision is lacking compared to my last Swann system. Pay careful attention to the description. I thought I was purchasing the exact same system as my previous one only to find out this one is definitely not as good. Definitely lacking in quality for this particular system.
