Solid material. At first I thought it wasn't going to fit my bike frame, but the mounts pivot so a 90 degree turn allowed clearance for the bike frame. (Heavy frame hybrid). Others complained of sloppy in the hitch, but that is the nature of a tow hitch, not the design of the rack. All hitches are loose in the receiver. Just add a tie down strap to firm it up. ... show more

    • Great carrier for the back of our 5th Wheel
We needed a new bike carrier for the rear of our 5th wheel. This was once of the few that are "RV Rated." If it so much better build than the previous carrier we had (probably over 15 years old now). So far its been used to haul 3 bikes up and down the east coast with great stability and security.

Purchased to haul 2 adult bikes on back of RV ( we purchased the 4 bike mount). After our first trip the support bar had bent . Very disappointed with quality

Use this on the back of our tear drop travel trailer. Holds the bikes well and no issues. Heavy duty and sturdy. The rubber straps, which hold the bikes on, are holding up well and are thick.

Just completed a 4000 mile road trip using the Swagman 63381 rack to carry an adult trike and comfort bike on an RV. The rack mounted easily and kept the bikes secure with very little movement in the cradles. There a no bells and whistles on this rack. It is a nice heavy duty rack built to be used on an RV. The unit is attractively priced for a high quality rack. Would have been nice if rack came with locking bolt to RV. ... show more
