Great Base Marred by Poor App.
Style: Adjustable Base Only
Size: Split King
Purchased a Split King Sven and Son Platinum Base. When it arrived the boxes were a lot bigger then I expected as the videos on the Sven and Son site show the Split Kings coming in a square box, and you unfold them to make them full Twin XL size. While I was prepaired for the square box, I was not pr
epaired for these full size Twin XL sized boxes. Because of this I had to get help to get them in and put in. While delivery will be different for each person I should note that I had to take the day off from work as I was given a delivery time between 9 am and 4 pm. So be prepaired for having a wide delivery time. They have seemed to tweak the layout of the bases, as the USB ports for charging are not on the sides of the bed but on the bottom, making them hard to get to and use. If you are going to plug something in you are going to want to keep it plugged in as its hard to get to it to keep plugging and unplugging it. Zero complaints about the movements of this bed Its a dream in this aspect and is worth every penny. The app however is a different story. My wife LOVES to lose remotes so one of the big reasons I chose this base is because it offers Bluetooth Control via a Sven&Son app. Not sure if it is the app or the base which is the issue, but many times one of the bases is not shown in the app. (And wouldn't you know its usually my wifes side) We have iPhone 14 Pro Max phones so it should work fine. Hours later then the missing base is again shown in the app. Just a pain when you want to move the bed and can't control it. But lesson for the wife here is STOP LOSING YOUR REMOTE! Not mentioned in the manual but each base requires 2 9 Volt batteries. When you put the batteries in the USB plugs light up. I am not sure if these batteries are for the USB, or if its a power failure backup, so that if the power goes out in zero g you can lower yourself to flat without power. The massage feature isnt really a massage, more like a vibrate feature. But with that said it is relaxing. To me it reminds me of being on a cruise ship with the feel of the ship moving just like you are sleeping on a ship. No you won't get sea sick... hard to explain but if you ever slept on a cruise ship you would better understand the feeling. For those wondering what kind of mattress we used with these bases we went with the Air-Pedic 850 which is like a Sleep Number bed but offers a few more features for less money. We are happy with them and in using them with this base. Other then the issues with the box being full Twin XL sized and not being holding in half like shown in the videos, and the issues with the app, we like the bases, they are very heavy duty. They also fit in my king size frame / headboard fine as well.

Need to know about delivery

First, delivery is on the curb and I live in an apartment farther than the curb. Me and my son had a hard time getting it inside. The box is paper thin and barely taped so when you try pushing or carrying it, the heavy bed inside will fall right out. (They want you to pay the extra to get it delivere

The bed itself seems comfortable and relieves pressure off my back with certain angles. So far I like it. I just worry the mattress will lose its "bounce back" after time.

I was one of those people that always said what the heck does anyone need one of those adjustable beds for. Then we went on vacation and stayed at an AIRBNB that had one. After eight days sleeping on one, I no longer had to ask why, I knew. When we got back home, I did my research and looked at all o
f the options available for a King Size bed, as we already have a KING Bed, with a sleigh frame that sits on a platform. After reviewing the different companies that provided the adjustable frames and all of the options within each company, I finally settled on the Sven & Son Platinum King Adjustable Bed Frame. It had some unique features that many others did not have, like head tilt, which has eliminated neck pain for us, Wall hugging, along the headboard, 30 min. massage timer and Lumbar support to name a few. In their listing they list a King Bed and a Split King bed. There is no single king frame, (And thank your lucky stars), each piece of the split king weighs about 175lbs. With that said, a King bed will always come as a Split King. The deliver of the bed came via freight delivery with sidewalk drop off. And the bed came is two separate boxes each holding an TwinXL Frame, complete with power supply legs and remote. So if at some point you wanted to use the frame as a split King you can. Each remote comes paired with the bed it came with, and you simply need to take one of them and also pair it to the other frame so that both sides work in tandem. When they tell you, you need two people, they really do mean you need two people. The weight of the frames isn’t ridiculously heavy, but it is awkward. I would recommend that you have either bungie cords or straps on hand if you open the box and move just the frame like I did from the street to it’s desired location, as the adjustable parts of the bed will move without power. I found the ratchet straps worked best. Once I got both sides up to where they needed to be, setup took no time at all. We put our 14 inch Hybrid King mattress on the frame, installed the mattress holders, put the side rails and footboard back in place, and it was all done. Took us about an hour, because we had to breakdown the old platform before bringing the new frames up. The bed functions as outlined, the headboard hugging feature of the premium frame, keeps the bed in the same area so you don’t need to move your nightstand to accommodate the bed moving to a sitting position. The lumbar option puts the right amount of pressure on your lower back. The preset settings on the remote are comfortable and the massage with three modes and three intensity levels are fantastic, and the 30 min. timer is nice. The under-bed lights are neat, but I will say the sleigh frame we have blocks most of the light, but still provides a nice glow to see where your walking. It has only been a few days using the Sven and Son frame but so far, we love the frame.

And with all the bells and whistles the price was amazing! I purchased the top of the line king. I see where some had an issue with delivery times, I do realize the delivery is different with each order. However, my delivery person gave men a 30 window and he was on time. He put the bed in our garage without issues. Now that I have had the bed for almost 2 months, would I buy it again? YES, YES, YES AND YES AGAIN! Very nice and you cannot beat the price. Our previous bed was very tall, I opted for my neighbors to put the shorter legs on the bed, however it is toooo short, so my neighbor is coming back over to add the additional legs to make the bed taller. It is a great bed, many bells and whistles and you absolutely cannot beat the price!

Took a shot and I'm glad I did

With all the rhetoric out there, it is extremely hard to get good information on items such as a bed. I took a shot at what I thought looked like a good bed even though it was not at the top of the "10 Best Recommended Beds" list and I've been pleased so far. There was a shipping issue from the truck
ing company but Sleep Geeks were on it and worked to resolve the issue very quickly. One of the split king mattresses was sent to a wrong location in transit so they immediately sent out a replacement via UPS. The bed is heavy and strong. It appears to be built for a lifetime of use. I was pleasantly surprised that the motor noise meets my expectations. You can not expect it to be absolutely quiet but the noise of the motors is very low with nothing more than a low hum in the middle of the night if I need to adjust my side of the bed. Even for light sleepers, I would not expect the sound to be loud enough to disturb them from their slumber. The mattress is interesting. My first impression is that the mattress is super soft, maybe too soft for my liking. However, after laying in bed for a while, you can feel the mattress fully supporting your body without any pressure points. I come from a Purple mattress that I struggle to get a good night's sleep on for two years and had given up. While it was better than the traditional mattress I had been using, I would wake up every hour and would have to turn to relieve an ache on my hips or back. Granted, this was better than the old mattress as it literally hurt to get out of bed every morning. The Purple bed only made it marginally better. The 14" mattress from Sven has actually been very nice. I may wake up once during the night but I get out of bed every morning free of pain (it has been years since this has happened. I thought I would need to raise my feet to get a good night's sleep but have found that I'm very comfortable just sleeping in the flat position. In contrast to the Purple bed where I would end up downstairs on the couch at least twice a week to raise my feet to a comfortable postiion. Since getting the Sven, this has not happened at all. The only adjustment I had to make was to make sure when I sit up in the morning, that my butt is not right on the edge of the bed as it will collapse down. If I roll out and my knees are about at the edge of the bed, it is no problem. A few opportunities for future improvements. 1. The manual for the remote control is bad. there is no description on how to program sleep positions. It took a while of trial and error before I figured it out. 2. The illumination light on the remote control needs to stay on much longer than two seconds. I will press a button to get it to light up and by the time my eyes start to focus in on the button, the light will go out. 3. While we are able to sync each of the sides together if we wanted, which we don't, I would like to have an A/B selector switch on the remote so that I can control either side of the bed. 4. It would be nice to have a mechanical connector between the frames that would allow the beds to move independently but still be held together as a single unit. We are upgrading from a queen set, so we do not have a bedroom set right now that the split king fits. This may not be a problem once we get the king headboard/footboard. None of these items are show stoppers and I do think we will be happy with this purchase for many years.

Good Quality Product - lives up to its Pain Relief claims

We had a very expensive Cal King bed but she said that over time, she thought the bed was actually adding to her pain and she was unable to sleep all night without pain. She had heard from a friend, who had purchased an adjustable bed, that it had he
lped alleviate her and her husband’s pain. I suggested she go around to adjustable bed stores, try the beds out and see if any actually helped her, before we spent the money. She called me from a store and said she tried several, but when the sales lady had her try one with an adjustable lumbar support, her pain all went away. She said it was everything she was looking for, however, the price was $12,000. I told her I would check on Amazon to see if they had one with similar features at less cost, before we invested that much money. I found a Sven & Son Platinum Series Adjustable Split Cal King Bed Base + 14" Premium Memory Foam Mattress, with an adjustable Lumbar Support. It had all the features of the $12,000 bed for only 1/4 the cost. I read all the Reviews and found the biggest concern was the weight of the frames (but most all brands of adjustable frames, I had checked, weighed about the same). However, after having to hire help to lug them upstairs (245lbs ea), I had wished I had purchased the professional set-up service that had been available. The product is great and enables my wife to sleep all night now, pain free. I would have rated it 5-stairs, but the Customer Service was terrible. The Customer Service number, on the Owner's Manual, actually goes to an "Answering Service". They take your information/question and say they "will contact a Specialist who will get back to you within 24 hours". The problem is when you are in the middle of setting up the beds, with hired help, you want the help right then, not within "24 hour.” And, when the "Specialist" did call, it turned out that they were not able to answer my question and had to refer the problem to someone else before getting back to me.

I am super happy with this bed.

very needs. Sven&Son called back to communicate my options. The Trucking Company Followed up with an additional call to finalize. My delivery experience was perfect! The assembly of the base was as easy as it gets. (Cut a few zip ties, plug in the power cord, flip it around, screw in the feet - and done.) I was concerned that "Medium Soft" would be too soft for me, but it is not, I am happy that I did not pick "Firm" or "Plush". With the iPhone App, it is possible to set an alarm by changing the bed's position. Using a tablet or a laptop in bed is much more comfortable, watching TV might be better than on the couch. It's not a miracle cure, but my back feels better after 3 nights in this bed. The Con's: The Base is really (REALLY) heavy. I am glad that I did not have to move it up any stairs. Although I was able to set it up by myself, but only just. I certainly recommend a second person. I used 4 "Home depot buckets" to install the legs, in order to avoid bending them. It will take me some time to get used to the gap between the mattresses. The mattress seems to move off the frame on one side. The massage/vibrator is a joke, it hums more than it vibrates. It is noisier than I would have thought to adjust the bed. (The motor "whirrs".) Summary: We looked at a few beds in "bed stores", but they started either at $1500 - or $4000 above the price of this bed, depending on the store. It feels as if we have purchased a product of equal quality with considerable savings. If I would have the chance for a do-over, not only would I buy an adjustable bed again, I'd buy the very same bed from Sven&Son.

Our split king platinum was delivered today. The two frames are boxed and come packaged in card board and secured to a wooden pallet. The two mattresses were also vacuum sealed and came in one box. Moving the beds in was not bad. I used two furniture skates rated for 1000lbs. I also built a wooden ra
mp to over come the step into the home. I simply positioned the skates aside the pallet and stood up one frame at a time then used a ratchet binder to secure it to the skate. First went rather easy. The second the skate got away from me but was still not that bad. The wife made sure they stayed vertical while i pulled the skates. With a bit if planning its not that hard. Assembly was very simple. The legs break apart for a low set or high set frame off the floor. I put two full legs on one side and two half legs on the other. This made flipping the bed easy without applying too much weight on the legs. I also relocated the USB ports. There were two on either side. You just unscrew then and unravel the cords. Easy fix to relocate them. I have not mounted them yet as we are deciding on a head and foot board now. Overall i was concerned reading the other reviews of how heavy and difficult to assemble the bed. I found it rather simple. I had a harder time handling the old 12” foam king we replaced lol. Everything worked as advertised and so far so good.

I just got this bed delivered yesterday. Slept in it last night. My specific health issues so you know what my existing problems were before last night: I have chronic lower back pain, and have had it for a very long time. My C4-C5 actually touch from the disc bursting and wearing away over time. I a
m also cheap/thrifty when faced with large costs and also don't want to roll the medical dice on surgery, so I deal with the pain. I use a tens unit daily to sooth the muscles that keep me from standing up straight without pain. I wake up at least once, if not several times a night from turning over in bed and causing me pain. I also have a previously injured right shoulder that hurts throughout the night because I am a side-sleeper, and subsides a couple hours after I get out of bed. Due to waking up frequently, I cannot remember the last time I had a dream or being able to remember one, if I had one. I am 6' 230lbs, in relatively good health otherwise and am fairly active even with the pain. But this morning y'all...holy crap. I cannot believe the sleep I got. I don't remember waking up one time. I didn't have a sore shoulder and my back hasn't felt this good after sleeping in probably a decade!!! The pain that was felt was minimal compared to normal. I played with the controls and massage which will come in handy watching TV or reading and I will try the ZG (zero gravity) setting which felt pretty good when I was trying it out. But for sleep, I slept on the mattress being flat. I also remembered dreaming!! It's been easily a decade since I remember dreaming at all, much less remembering any part of it. I can tell you that I feel more alert and rested than I have in a long time and without any sleeping aid. I usually have to take 2-4 melatonin to get anything resembling that rested feeling, but even that pales by comparison to how I feel today. It's truly unbelievable the difference between my old bed and this one, and only after ONE night!!! I can't wait to see how this plays out long-term. I will update in the next month or so but after a single night, this bed has improved my sleep so much, it's already convinced me it was well worth the money spent. I told you I was cheap too, right? I know people who have walked into the name brand mattress stores and dropped $4,000-8,000 for just a mattress and I now believe they got ripped off big time. Sven and Son is the real deal and at a much cheaper price for the cheapskate in me, and presumably in you, if you're reading this. I researched this and other beds online and on Amazon, noticed that another bed base manufacturer on Amazon uses their mattresses, now I know why. Service: Xavier with SleepGeekz called me personally, and he was very nice, to verify my order and let me know shipping date ranges, which were sooner than Amazon predicted. Then I was notified by text a few days prior as well as the day it was to arrive. Outstanding service as far as I am concerned. Save up, ask Santa Claus, collect cans, work overtime, panhandle or do whatever you have to do (legally) to get this bed, it's worth it!! I'll report back soon.

Very good value for the money
Great product, the freight delivery from Saia was OK. Keep in mind, you are ordering this from Amazon, but the delivery is LTL freight (less than truckload). A freight truck will deliver your load to your driveway. They make an appointment for delivery (Saia) but they deliver it at their convenience.
...(look up reviews on Saia). I made an appointment for delivery on a Thursday, made arrangements to have someone home all day, (they never showed). No call, no apology. I called Saia, they said someone would call me to reschedule. Never received a call, tracking information had a delivery appt scheduled for following Monday. 1 day after scheduled appt date, (Friday) I get a call at 430 pm from truck driver saying its going to be delivered in 20 mins....luckily, I was on my way home and was able to receive delivery. (Apparantly Saia assumes someone will always be home). Delivery was great but the base is HEAVY! VERY HEAVY! Keep this in mind when ordering. Product is great, Platinum base and Medium soft queen bed is awesome. I definitely recommend the setup service, I wish I had paid for it, (2nd story home did I mention it was heavy!) I would buy it again and so far I'm happy with the purchase.....
