So far, so good. Its not cheap plastic but its not the thickest heaviest duty either. Some reviews said cleaning is a pain. We clean all dishes by hand anyways and haven't found any difficulty cleaning it. It came with a couple hand tools as-well. We have used bear claws, and we have used forks too. Honestly, if it weren't for this purchase, we would rarely eat shredded chicken because it's such a hassle. We've actually found that by ordering this, we can have more variety in our meals. We have had bbq pulled chicken a couple times, and I told the wife the possibilities are endless now that we can effortlessly make shredded chicken. The blades, arent really blades, theyre just plastic spikes. But they work well. It's about as big as a dog food bowl. Takes up a little space, but stores nicely. Given the plastic cover when shredding, and the rubber lined base, it's very safe. Doesn't slip off the table, and no risk of pinch or cut when twisting the piece as intended.

Where has this thing been all my life! I've cooked a lot of chicken over the past 40 years and it was always a drudgery, and sort of a pain, to separate chunks of chicken in to shreds. Along time ago, I would do this chore all by hand, then tried to do it with two forks (hated that, I'd rather do it by hand), then later on I used my Kitchen Aid with the whip attachment (once I could afford one). Then a couple weeks ago I found this product; I really didn't think it would work as well as advertised, BUT I was so wrong - it works fantastic! Large chunks or smaller pieces they both get shredded, and the best part is you can stop shredding when you get to your desired size of shreds Even better - you just rinse it off and put it in the dishwasher. I love this thing and would give it 10 starts if I could!

I was skeptical, but I thought I would give this a try. This works so well for shredding chicken breast. I like to make large quantities of chicken, shred it, and store it in the freezer in individual servings. The shredding part was always the part of this task that I dreaded. It took forever and my hands hurt after manually shredding the meat. I had tried the kitchen-mixer method but that required a lot of effort for set-up and clean-up. This simple shredder is so easy to use and clean. I just cut the chicken breasts in half or quarters, shred it, dump it in a wide bowl and go to the next round. I like that the top is clear so I can see exactly when to stop shredding. When I am done, I rinse off the shredder and clean it in the upper rack of the dishwasher. So easy! Now I don't dread my large-batch chicken shredding project.

I’m giving this 5 stars because it does work and I like that it is dishwasher safe which really is the easiest and best way to clean it. My only tiny complaint is that chicken or meat at the center does not get shredded, there will be a small chunk that you’ll have to move over away from the center. The ease of use is amazing, no more cramped up hands shredding meat with forks or fork and knife. Easy to store, easy to assemble all you have to do is snap the 2 handles on. There aren’t any blades so you don’t have to worry about yourself or your children getting cut by it. Yes it is safe for older children and teens to use to help you out in the kitchen. It does include a cleaning brush and small two prong fork.

This specific shredder is amazing. It takes less then a few minutes to cut up chicken, no matter how much you are doing. I use to fork shred, blender shred and chop the chicken before this. I really wish I had gotten this sooner. Takes me less time and I couldn't be more pleased. Works on fresh out the oven chicken, from the fridge cold. Obviously don't try to cut raw, that's not gonna work. It literally sticks to the counter without leaving any residue behind. The two know twist handles, are perfect size too. I gave it four stars only because it takes a bit to clean it. It comes with a brush for that but there are some spots that a cloth or paper towel folded are needed to wipe. Other then that, this would be a great gift for someone, especially if they do a lot of shredding. I haven't tried it for anything else, but I. Aure it would work.

I got this so that I could make my life easy and I don't even use for me. I use it for my child (dog) who has become a super picky eater but won't turn down chicken breast. When it comes to shredding some chicken breast, boy does this thing shred. I was using this one day and while watching CrunchyRoll and didnt realize how many times I was turning back and forth. I went from small pieces of shredded chicken to confetti chicken. Idk how long I was turning but I definitely wasted a good piece of chicken because my son (dog) did not touch his food whatsoever. The blades are safe to touch so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself, but to chicken it cuts like butter. It's easy to put together, just screw the nobs on and get to turning. It's not bulky so it should fit in small places as long as its wide enough.

If you’ve been teetering back and forth and don’t know if this is a necessary tool…let me help you out. I make multiple meals that calls for shredded chicken or pork or what have you. And most of the time I’m seeing what I can do to get someone to shred the meat or trick someone or bribe someone. Because I hate doing it…it’s messy and so time consuming. This tool saves you!!
