Description

Upgrade your food processing routine with a LEM Products 22 BigBite Meat Grinder, a powerful grinder perfect for hunters, food processors, chefs, and culinary enthusiasts who desire to make their own foods. The BigBite technology allows the auger to grab hefty "bites" of meat from the pan and draws them through the large-diameter throat, where the rifled head quickly feeds them through the grinder, providing faster and more efficient grinding. The grinder includes a stainless steel knife, head, auger, large meat pan, coarse and fine plates, stuffing plate, 3 stuffing tubes, and a plastic meat stomper. A storage drawer is located beneath the grinder head for plates and accessories for added convenience. Our Meat Grinder is easy to use and also boasts a noise-dampening design for quieter performance. Whether you're looking to make better quality chilis, burgers, sausages, or even create a raw diet for your pet without unnecessary fillers, this grinder allows you to process a wide range of meats, including beef, pork, lamb, mutton, venison, and deer. The 22 BigBite Grinder can also process raw chicken bones. Our professional-grade grinders are easy to use, easy to clean, and considerably quieter than other electric meat grinders.

  • Very good grinder
Style: Grinder Size: #8
Very impressed with this grinder. I’ve ground up two deer and breakfast sausage and ground meat. Very happy with it. Never bogged down as much as I tried. The opening for #8 is smaller than the #12 I had but it worked very good. Not loud either. Very impressed how quiet it is. It was easy to clean after using it. There is also a drawer where all the parts fit in for safe keeping. ... show more

  • A quality meat grinder that’s worth the price.
Style: Grinder Size: #22
Why should you buy this? Or any meat grinder for that matter? I got it because I want to know what’s in my ground meat. I also bought some Brisket/Chuck pre made burger patties at my local supermarket and I thought “Wow, these are really good”. But I really didn’t want to pay that much for a better quality meat all the time. My family eats a lot of hamburger, and brisket per pound is cheaper than ground beef. I just keep my eyes open for sales. Now you know why I wanted a meat grinder, why chose this one? LEM products have a good reputation for quality. And this grinder proves that reputation is well earned. The unit is well made and I think it’s pretty quiet for what it is. I guessing about the same as my kitchen aid mixer. It is heavy. I placed it on a rolling cart and that is where it stays. I think it would be inconvenient to carry around and place on the table or counter for use every time for most people. When I use this meat grinder it chews up partly frozen chunks of beef or pork just as fast as I can feed it in and I’ve not noticed the motor struggling at all doing it. I ground a 20lb Angus brisket that I cut up in to 2”-3” pieces and placed in the freezer for 45 minutes before grinding it in less than 5 minutes using the bigger plate and It easily could have done it faster. A second grind using the smaller plate does take a little longer as I had to use the stomper to push the meat into the auger. Even so start to finish it was less than 20 minutes. Assembly and clean up is really easy. Just wash in hot soapy water. It is dishwasher safe. (Not the motor, of course) I expect this meat grinder will last for decades if it’s cared for and used how I use it. (6-8 times a year.) ... show more

  • Absolute beast Absolute beast
Style: Grinder Size: #32
I would recommend this lem big bite #32 to anyone that packages they’re own meat/ makes they’re own pet food! It worked amazing and is super fast for making your own hamburger, but I also make my own pet food which could be pretty hard on a meat grinder! This thing will chew up chicken bones as fast as you can throw them in there like it’s nothing. Keep noted that I make tons of dog food at once to store away. It really didn’t have any time to rest while I was doing it and still it didn’t get hot or even sound like it was wearing on the motor. Cleaning was easy as well for the most part. It’s never fun cleaning up stuff like this, but for all the money you save by packaging your own meat I would say it’s worth it. It’s also very well made. Everything seams sturdy and works as advertised and then some! I didn’t expect it to eat up bones so easy! It is pretty expensive but in the long run it will save me tons of money by packaging meat myself. It’s crazy how expensive processed food is compared to buying in bulk and doing it on your own! ... show more

  • It’s a beast !
Style: Grinder Size: #5
This is a fantastic grinder. It’s been a joy to use. I make my own raw dog food blend of 5-8 different meat blended with raw vegetables and it makes it fast and easy. I also grind small bones (beef, lamb, chicken) and this handles them with no problem. I’ve had it for 6 months with no problems. ‘ It’s easy to clean, disassembles quickly. There are no plastic parts to wear out and the stainless is good quality. I’ve run it continuously for 20 minutes with minimal heat build up. It is large and, if you’re petite, it’s heavy if you’re lifting it but can be managed with a little extra ‘muscle’. I store mine covered, in the corner of my counter under the overhang of a cabinet because I don’t always have any ‘extra muscle’ around when I need it. <:>) I think this big boy can handle most meat processing jobs you might have and it also comes with a sausage making attachment if you want to try that. I like this machine. Glad I spent the extra money and didn’t go with something cheaper. ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised.
Style: Grinder Size: #8
First, I don't have a lot of experience with grinding meat and what experience I do have was with a small Oster food grinder. Second, I have only used my new grinder once but I did grind about 20lbs of pork and about 8 pounds of turkey. So, you should consider those two things when reading my review, My first impression of this grinder was it was heavier than I had expected. It's not a problem, just an observation. The next impression I had was how well constructed it looked. Just by looks, it appears this product was built to last. Next I spent some time getting familiar with the parts of the grinder. Then, I assembled it to get ready for my first grind. The parts all fit easily and I like the accessory draw built into the unit. All of the grinding plates and the cutter fit into it easily. After assembly, I turned the grinder on and the sound it made was probably the most surprising thing about this grinder. I mean, it's big, it's heavy, and it's a heavy-duty machine, surely, it must be loud too. My assumption was wrong, this grinder emits less noise than the small Oster grinders I had used in the past. Now for the actual grinding operation. I started with a coarse grind and the grinder made easy work of the pork I was feeding it...I had to hurry just to keep up with it. I see why they call it the "Big Bite" now. After chilling the coarse ground pork, I did the final fine grind. This grind is not as fast as the first coarse grind but it's still fairly easy. Even though a small amount of silver skin got into the grinder, I did not experience any clogs during my initial use. So, after one use, I am very happy with the Big Bite I purchased and feel I got a good value for what I spent on this grinder. ... show more

  • BEAST!
Style: Grinder Size: #22
This thing is heavy, but it is surprisingly easy to maneuver and carry. I store it in my pantry on a steel shelf. It requires a shelf 24" high and dwarfs my other appliances, including dehydrator and toaster oven. Today, I ground 100# of meat. Preparing the meat to fit into the hopper takes much longer than the actual grinding. If it fits down the chute, the beast handles it just great. No clogs, no slow down, no uneven grind. It ground up chicken leg and thigh bones like they were butter. I preserved beef bottom round and chicken quarters. They were mostly thawed in the refrigerator, having removed them from the freezer days earlier. Initially, I put the blade on backward, and I managed to jam the retaining ring so I was unable to get it off to fix it. My husband had to come and rig up some kind of thing in the shop to loosen it so I could start over. Fortunately, the machine stalled, and no damage was done. Putting it together is simple once you've done it. A little instruction would help. The diagram is nice but not clear enough to really prevent missteps such as the one I made. The you-tube video made it clear, but that was after the fact, in my case. It disassembled easily, and cleaned up nicely. I put a little food grade mineral oil on it and put it back into the pantry until next time. I'm using it for RAW diet dog food, but plan to use it for venison next Fall. Awesome machine. Extremely well made. Very quiet. I also bought the foot pedal, and I am so glad I did. I would have made a greasy mess trying to shut it off again and again. I got a real bargain on it from Amazon ($399.99) for the #22 Big Bite! WOW!!!! ... show more

  • Great machine Great machine
Style: Grinder Size: #32
First off, we are considered a small scale processor. We do over 100 deer, 50 cattles and 200 hogs a year. The first lem we had was a #12 and it did a great job for 3 years. We used it every day and then it started leaking grease, so we decided to up grade to this big boy. The one we recieved was definitely a return. It had bumps, scratches and dried meat on it. Cleaned it up and gave her a go. It ground 15 lbs of meat in 5 minutes. We did a rough test grind on this batch meaning we intentionally didn't cut out some silver skin to see how good of a grind we got. The grinder was able to remove all sliver skin and left very even grind. See picture for reference. That's beef. The size of the machine is double what our #12 was and the parts are heavy but they are solid. All the pieces are large and dishwasher safe. We put all pieces on the bottom of the dishwasher for sanitation and it works perfectly. This is a great machine for anyone wanting to do their own meat. Great for beginners. We started out as backyard butchers and have slowly evolved into needing a huge machine. The value for the money is on point. This machine is a little more than off name but it's worth the warranty and customer service that comes with the lem brand. ... show more

  • A well made grinder with plenty of power
Style: Grinder Size: #8
I'm really happy with this grinder. Made quick work of an elk, now I just have my deer left to do. A nice size for occasional grinding and feels like it will last. It does heat up a bit but it didn't weem to struggle at all.
