There is not much to overcomplicate here — it is basically a kitchen hammer, but it is a good one. The KitchenAid quality feels solid, and it works well for pounding meat evenly. I’ve been using the KitchenAid Gourmet Multi-Sided Meat Tenderizer for a few weeks now, and it’s exactly what I wanted: solid quality and it does the job really well. The build feels sturdy and well-balanced in hand, not flimsy like cheaper tenderizers. The multi-sided design is genuinely useful, I can use the textured side to tenderize chicken and steaks evenly, and the flatter side to pound cutlets without tearing the meat up. I’ve also used it for crushing nuts for desserts and it works great without the nuts flying everywhere.
