The Super Handy Scooter arrived in a large box that is heavy but not excessively so. The parts well packed there is allot of empty space in the box. The total assembly time is under 30 minutes from the moment you open the box, read the directions, and finally assemble the unit. Here are some assembly tips: Front Wheel Installation: I could not find the needed nuts and washers, eventually I found them, they were installed on the front wheel shaft that was covered by packaging insulation. Note that the instructions mention two washers per wheel—one on each side of the wheel. However, my unit came with only one washer per wheel. Consider upgrading the two plain nuts that secure the front wheels to nylon lock nuts. This will prevent the wheels from falling off during use, resulting in a bad time. Seat Assembly: The instructions indicate that the battery pack should be on either the left or right side. The bolt layout of the seat allows for the battery pack holder to be positioned in the front or back as well. However, if you assemble the battery pack in the front or back, the seat lock pin on the seat stem will not sit properly on the bottom seat lock. The battery holder even with the extra battery installed won’t interfere with the rider while sitting on the seat in any position. Handlebar Stem: Vigorously tighten the handlebar stem shaft. There is no physical locking mechanism (aka lock pin) that limits the rotation of the handlebars (aside from the bicycle handlebar stem lock). If it’s not tightened enough, the handlebars may slip when the wheels reach their maximum left or right turning radius. If the handlebars bars are not tight enough, the jolt generated when hitting this physical wheel limit, may cause the steering to become misaligned in bad case or totally unresponsive in the worst case. Again, not a fun time. when this occurs, realign the handlebar steam and add more tension to the lock. The kit includes two Allen wrenches. You’ll need a 13mm and 14/15mm wrench to install the seat and front wheels. The batteries come fully charged, so once assembled you good to go, unless it’s raining outside. Rain stopped, road trip. Riding this up and down the side was a breeze, but the sidewalk cracks made for a bumpy ride. The extra battery, though secured, rattled on the bigger bumps. Note there is suspension on the front wheels but not on the back wheels. The ride was not bumpy on the driveway and on the street. The scooter was able to handle curbs without issue. The speed was not as fast as I wanted it to be. The scooter goes slightly faster than a very fast walker, but a slow jogger would be faster than the scooter. I also discovered that the handlebar battery power level indicator button was ripped. I sent in another email for a replacement part as noted in the scooter documentation.

Will not drive in reverse so it’s going backassp

1). This scooter makes very wide turns. I doubt would be able to turn in the next aisle of a grocery store. I was able to improve turning by repositioning the tie-rods on the steering column. 2). Speed/brake controller is odd. Should be single lever control, release the lever scooter should stop, this scooter free wheels, hand brake must be used. There is a separate switch to use reverse. Should operate like scooters supplied at stores. 3). No key for scooter, if used in public and you leave the scooter, anyone can take it. 4). Bolts on rear wheels stick out and are a safety hazard. 5). Would like to be able to disassemble more to fit in car. Requires a large trunk opening or an SUV. Can not load it into my mid-size coupe, have to use my truck. Range has not yet been verified. Update: Delayed trying extended use because one of the batteries included would not accept a charge, had to buy a spare battery before attempting longer trial run. Range seems to be good. Took the scooter to our local zoo which has a number of ‘hills’ to view the various animals. Took it all without any problems. Downside though, with one wheel drive, I had to pull the scooter with the rider through the petting area which is dirt. So did not try other ‘off road’ paths.

I didn’t even get to use it twice before it quit working. Both batteries are fully charged, they are not the problem! I reached out to customer support. I explained the problem. It was the weekend so I was sent an automated message saying they would get back to me in 2-3 days. They never responded to my complaint. Don’t buy this scooter.
