This arrived at my house last week. I assembled it yesterday and started chipping branches I had trimmed from our live oaks the day before. This machine is fun! Compared to the Harbor Freight chipper, it was perhaps 3 times faster and less effort to get the branches chipped (about 3 hours). This chipper also runs quieter and with fewer vibrations. It didn't take very long to assemble, perhaps 30 min. The chipper seems durable; we'll see how the welds will hold up. But the sheet metal gauge is of appropriate thickness. It's a beast, not a child's toy. Be careful, make sure you're ready to let go of that branch once the machine starts pulling.

The media could not be loaded. Chipper nonfunctional on delivery. Obviously a QA issue at the manufacturing facility. One of the blades jams against the plate and stops the pull cord. Cannot crank the engine. Submitting a picture and a video. At the cost of this item how does this get resolved to my satisfaction. If the engine was to actually start, the operator would be seriously injured when the blade hits the plate and explodes. Update to review 7 Nov 2025. Got with the manufacturer and their Engineering Dept was able to help. I appreciate the assistance and the chipper is working very well except for a small oil leak from the bottom of the engine through a bolt.

Makes quick work of limbs, branches and small trees. Assembly was very simple with the instructions, about an hour. The 9hp has a lot of power. Really heavy duty machine for the home, farm or large property.

Positives. Easy to assemble with good directions. Took an hour or so. Chips well with good power. It will NOT handle a four-inch green limb, but two inches it can do. Starts fairly easily. Seems to be assembled well. I have only had it a day so haven't needed to change blades, but I think that will be pretty easy, and especially when compared to my previous chipper. The discharge chute comes off with only two bolts, and then the blades have two bolts apiece which are basically staring you right in the face. The blades are also double bladed and that saves on blade replacement expenses. Negatives. The biggest problem by far is that the discharge chute is too low to the ground. I will not reach over the side of my utility trailer, so I have to chip into a five gallon container and then dump that into the trailer. It's not a huge problem, but one that I would think could have been thought through a good deal more carefully. My only other observation is that it pretty readily "spits out" larger limbs when chipping them, but I haven't done enough of that to really say. Might add that the engine does not crank as quickly as the Kohler engine on my old chipper, but it does well enough. All in all, it's a good machine. I would recommend it for sure, and especially considering the price.
