This register booster fan works great and is impressively quiet. It fits perfectly in my 6" x 10" vent and noticeably improves airflow for both heating and cooling. The thermostat really helps balance the temperature in the room. The WiFi app control is easy to set up and use, allowing me to monitor and adjust settings from my phone. I like being able to switch between manual and automatic modes depending on my needs. The automatic mode takes a little time to figure out and doesn’t always work exactly how I want, but it’s still a useful feature. The fan runs smoothly without distracting noise, even at higher speeds. Overall, this is a well-designed and effective AC vent booster. It looks clean in white, blends in well with the vent, and delivers excellent performance. Highly recommended for rooms with weak airflow!

For a server cabinet: Mine is an enclosed walnut so I bought 3 of these vent/fans for good air flow. The selling point was the price, the automatic temp/fan controlling factor, monitoring by smart phone and the reversibility of airflow as per advertised. Positive points. these fans are able to deliver the airflow to my cabinet and regulate temp automatically. After registering one on my Wi-Fi the other 2 were easy as pie. The instruction booklet says the airflow is not reversable, but I only need that on 1 vent, so I took it apart and reversed the fans. The only snag I hit was that the holes on the fans opposite side were not drilled for the screws that came out of the flip side. I used a 3/16 drill and got a perfect fit. Back together and voila, reverse airflow but monitored from inside the cabinet so exhaust increases as temp rises. The fans are very quiet even on the 10th speed level. I was very impressed that the firmware updated after registration via the app.

This Howeall super quiet register booster fan has been a complete game changer in our home, we’ve actually purchased two of them. We live in a custom-built house with a lot of windows, and while it’s beautiful, our HVAC system struggles to keep up during Ohio’s cold winters and hot summers. These booster fans have made a noticeable difference in improving airflow and overall comfort in our living spaces. They’re reasonably priced, easy to install, and very user-friendly. Noise level is minimal, and the fan speed is easily adjustable. Our daughter even has hers connected to her phone and finds it just as easy to use as we do. Another big plus is efficiency. They’ve helped improve comfort without noticeably increasing our utility costs, which was a concern going in. Overall, excellent value for the price point, great quality, durable, quiet, good cord length, bright screen, and effective. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with uneven heating or cooling in their home.

Fan is effective and very good at boosting either heat or air in rooms that get too little HVAC. door closed makes it the most effective. TERRIBLE instructions. They do not tell you what app you need to connect to phone. You need an app that connects and can find devices but you have to figure that out. Once done it works well. It’s quiet too.

This is a mixed bag. The unit itself IS good at increasing airflow and cooling down an upstairs room in the summer, so that is great. Combined with closing some downstairs vents, I saw big gains in temperature consistency on the different floors of my house. However, this was with running it on high speed all day. And that comes with some major downsides. For one thing, it's very noisy: like a desktop PC while playing some graphics-intensive game. I personally sleep with a white noise machine in the bedroom, so for me this was just added white noise that I couldn't even hear at night, and no one is in the bedroom to mind about this during the daytime. The unit does have a smart mode that ostensibly activates the unit only when the AC (or heat, based on the current configuration) is running. The mechanism for this is fairly clever: it checks the surrounding air temp, and activates when the temperature is below a certain threshold, assuming that to be an indication that the system is running. This sounds nice on paper, but has some flaws in design. For one thing, it is very confusing how to set this up and took me quite a while to understand. Once you figure it out, it's easy to do. But the instructions are a little baffling, partly because of some fairly poor translation (presumably from Chinese). Once set up correctly, I still wasn't able to get good results from this smart mode. The unit temperature was not sufficiently precise or reactive to notice when my AC had switched on. A better design for this unit would instead accommodate an anemometer and monitor ambient air speed. This would require some clever programming to switch off its own fans during measurement, but it would ensure that the fan was always running, even if the HVAC system was running in "fan only" mode -- which this unit currently has no way to detect. That's a shame, because "fan only" would be a great way to passively circulate air at a lower cost. The poor temp control would be manageable, IF it were possible to control this unit with a smart switch. In that case I could manually wire up a system that would switch on this device when the AC was on, and switch it off otherwise. But unfortunately, if this device loses power, and then power is restored, it "forgets" what mode it was in, and remains off until you press a button on the unit or on the remote. For me, that makes this device much less valuable, and I ended up returning it in favor of one that I could control more easily. That said, this is not a bad unit, and if you don't mind these limitations it could work well for you.

In contrast to item’s title on the Amazon listing, this fan is NOT at all a quiet device. To achieve optimal air speed, the fan must be set to 8 to 10, resulting in a significant buzzing noise. Notably, this noise is particularly disruptive during nighttime, making it impossible for me to sleep without turning off the fan. Furthermore, the fan does not meet the advertised CFM rating. We have access to industrial-scale anemometers and MAS devices, and the measurements from these devices indicated a CFM of 36 and 34, respectively. These values are substantially lower than the advertised 140 CFM. Additionally, the actual CFM numbers suggest that the fan’s air output is not sufficient to propel air to a height of 18 feet. Instead, the air blowing distance is limited to slightly over 1 foot, which we have also measured. Lastly, the product’s quality falls short of industry standards. The absence of a filter and the insufficient strength of the surface pose significant durability concerns, particularly in households with children and pets. In conclusion, this experience was disappointing, and I returned the product. I would not recommend this device to others.

I am happy with this. It is relatively quiet at the mid to lower speeds and at full speed does make a little noise, but I can look past that as it is more like white noise. Easy to set up and use. The one thing I’m disappointed in is that we have a programmable thermostat and set different heating and cooling temperatures at night and during the day and can’t really program that into this but did know this when I purchased it. Looked high and low, but could not find one that does that. Maybe in the future they will incorporate that feature.

Works great to keep our upper level corner room within a few degrees of the rest of the house. Use to be +/-5 degrees or more due to it being a large room with one vent farthest from the furnace. I monitor temps with ecobee remote sensors at a few spots in the house. Now it’s comfortable and my son doesn’t complain to add heat or have fans on. Have had for 6 months and now that we are into the colder months, I can say it works fairly well for both hot and cold seasons. Fan can be a bit loud if set to max but unobtrusive at speed 6/7. Overall great value for the comfort it brings.
