The media could not be loaded. This awning was significantly less expensive than some of the others available. I read reviews and had my expectations set accordingly. I pulled the trigger, and it arrived in a couple days. I have a 19' solera awning on my 30' travel trailer. My orginal awning had 3 or 4 inches of space at either end between the edge of the awning and the end cap. The new awning goes right to the cap. I'm not complaining, but I wasn't expecting it to be that much wider than the original. The material is thinner than the original and the seams and finished drip edge are not quite as nice, but it is sufficient. I looked at a few install videos on youtube and read the included instructions. I removed the old awning myself and recruited my wife to help me attach it to the roller. I then had my wife and kids help hold it while I feed it onto the trailer. It took about two hours to replace, but I could probably do it again in less than an hour now that I know how to do it. I don't know if this will last as long as the original, but at this price I could afford to replace it every few years. My only concern is that the awning is actually made from two pieces sewn together. There is a seam that runs the length of the awning joining the color/fade section with a white (2') section which then attaches to your camper. I'm nervious that the seam will not hold over time, but I guess we will see. It doesn't look bad and is not all that noticable, but I didn't notice it mentioned in the listing before I purchased.     • Easier to install than I expected, mine had 3 pinholes I had to seal.
Purchased this for my camper, installed it with just me, my wife, a ladder and a truck bed. had it all opened up and saw daylight through 3 spots. a bit disappointed in that, but some silicone goop and time to cure, I'll be OK with it for the price.

Jumping right in, i bought this becasue, obviously, i needed to replace my RV awning. If you start looking around, replacement awnings are not cheap. The old adage "you get what you pay for" really does apply. With that said, here are a few things I noted: Good- it was cheaper than everything else. The material is thinner than the original. It does and will scracth or marr easily, so thats sign one its not high-quality. Second, it was pretty easy to install. Youll need two people to do it but it can be done easily. The color selection wasnt bad, i got the camel-toe fade and i think that will be cooler than the black fade of the original. Bad-the matwrial seems cheap. Its definitely thinner than the original. Im ok with this, since i dont use it much but im not sure if itll last 16 years like the original. There only one slot tube sewn in as the valance. You have to roll the material into the awning channel then slide the plastic stay behind it. I think having both sewn in would make it sturdier and easier to install. The stitching is not bad but the thread is too light. I have a feeling the thread will start breaking a 2-3 years. Last, it will scratch easier than it should. I put a few nicks in the material just from it rubbing on the ladder. So its cheap. For my use, this fit my budget. If i had a new RV I would buy a thicker one, but for my uses this worked out for color, price, and ease of installation. The direction were pretty useless, but if you have some mechanical bearing youll be alright. Id buy it gaain as a recreational RV user, if you live full-time or use your RV a lot, id not recommend this brand. Go with something a bit thicker and presumably more expensive. 2013 Coachmen Freedom Express 192 RBS. This fit my 14 foot awning. It was definitely a 3 person install job. The fabric was thicker than my previous awning fabric. Negotiating the spline through the channel on the drum was at first daunting as it bumped against the stitch work of the seam. Once we passed that, It went like a dream. My thanks to this company for making a great awning cover and to the many YouTube videos we watched. ... show more
