  • Good Coffee Maker and worth it, but needs refining.
This is a good coffee maker and I decided to give it 5 stars, although if I could I would have given it 4.5. The coffee maker looks great and easily fits under my standard cabinets. Seeing as this does have a built in grinder, it does make noise, but it could be worse. But this is something to keep in mind if you are going to make coffee while others in the house are asleep. To me, the coffee tastes great. I read other reviews about weak coffee, but mine tastes perfect just on the medium setting, although I have good beans. My only complaints are the time it takes to make a cup, it's not as fast as a Keurig, it's not horribly slow, but it is slower than Keurigs I've used in the past. My biggest complaint is that the unit makes a lot of steam, I mean a lot. So I have to pull the coffee maker out in front of my cabinets as I don't want that steam to collect under my cabinets and possibly damage them. I'm lucky I live in a dry climate and I usually only make a single cup each day. So it's not a big deal, but it's a minor inconvenience. ... show more

  • Fantastic coffee
I love this Cuisinart coffee maker. My coffee is delicious. Smells wonderful. The coffee temperature is great. If I didnt put cold milk in, it would be even hotter. I use Starbucks Pike roast and even Costco beans. I went from having my glass jar of beans along with my grinder on my counter to one machine that does it all. No more cleaning out a separate grinder each time, too. No mess. I use paper filters. Just rinse the filter basket and quick wipe underneath where you remove the basket. The grinder sound is not much different than my free standing grinder was. This is fast and consistent. ... show more

  • Made in China
Made in China. Coffee is OK but way too hot. Update: had for 6 weeks. Stopped working. Will have to replace.

  • Works well. Good coffee.
After three weeks I am very pleased. Coffee tastes great. Easy to use. (I used disposable filters). Brews quickly. My only complaint is related to difficulty in finding out what size filter to use. It’s not published in their literature anywhere that I could see, and I twice was given the wrong information. Other than that aggravation, everything works as expected. (It’s a size 2 filter BTW) ... show more

  • Great tasting cup of coffee!
I absolutely love this coffee maker! My previous coffee maker was also a Cuisinart but I wanted to get away from plastic pods. What a great tasting cup of coffee, coming from freshly ground beans. Like another review I read before purchasing, I had a little trouble getting that first cup. It seemed to jam up in the bean catcher, but I worked with it and got it going. No regrets on this purchase! ... show more

  • It makes really good fresh coffee
This makes great coffee! It's very easy to use. The grind is a little noisy, so if someone is still asleep in the morning it could be a problem. It will make up to a 20 oz "cup" so you could share and get 2 or even 3 smaller cups in one brew. You have to clean the basket after each cup or if you use a paper filter, just toss it. We have another Cuisinart Coffee maker that uses pods. The water tank is on the side on that one and it's a little easier to fill than on the grinder because the water tank is all the way in the back. ... show more

  • Inconsistent brewing!
I using identical settings for two consecutive cups, the first cup turned out excellent, while the second was noticeably watered down (see photos). I repeated the process the following day, but this time the first cup was weak and the second only slightly better. On the positive side, the temperature remained reliably hot each time. I was genuinely excited about this coffeemaker—it’s a clever concept: a single-serve grind-and-brew machine that delivers fresh coffee at the touch of a button. Freshly ground beans make all the difference! My Cuisinart full pot grind-and-brew has served me well for over 20 years without any problems, but since I usually only drink one or two cups, I was eager to try the single-serve version. There are less parts to clean and it holds more beans. The box arrived damaged, but I didn't notice any visual damage to the unit. I don't know if this was a factor. I hope the manufacturer can resolve these issues. I’m open to giving it another chance, but I’ll wait to see reviews from users who’ve had the machine for a few months. ... show more

  • Works great . . . Until it doesn't . . .
After a quick owner's manual session to understand how this machine operates, I got it set up and ready. It ran perfectly the first time out and produced great coffee. The versatility of cup sizes and brew strengths was very accurate. But . . after two weeks exactly, it simply did not start one morning. Took it apart and checked everything. Studied the troubleshooting steps for issues listed in that section. My issue was not there. Pressing the start button only made the light blinkl and then turn solid again = no gring, no water, no fcoffee. It's on iot's way back to Amazon today and a replacement on it's way to me; that's a quite nice touch. We ewill see how this second machine does - the jury is out. ... show more
