This is my new toy for cooking. My very old roaster died, and was no longer useful. I wasn't going to get another until I realized how often I used my old one. This is awesome, its larger than my other and has a nice insert that comes out for cleaning. I use it for so many dishes, I make my sauce overnight in this and it comes out amazing. Its great for pot roast, golumkis, meatballs and more. For Easter I am cooking a 9 lb pot roast with all the veggies and will have plenty of room. I love that it has a warming setting to keep things warm. Great price too...

I used this Sunvivi Roaster Oven for my Thanksgiving turkey, and it was AMAZING! The turkey came out juicy, tender, and evenly cooked with so much less stress than using a traditional oven. I loved the large capacity, the viewing lid, and how quickly it heated up. Cleanup was easy thanks to the removable pan and rack. It freed up my oven for sides and made the whole cooking process so much smoother. If you’re thinking about getting one, do it—you won’t regret it!

Our oven broke. The parts to repair it will take 1 1/2 to 2 years to get into stock. I love the induction stove top, so I don't want to replace the whole thing-- that is why I'm waiting the 2 years for the part to arrive. We tried baking our pumpkin pie in the toaster oven -- it worked, sort of. Not done in the middle and burnt crust edges. A friend commented about her roaster oven. I'm so glad she did. This is great. Our next pie turned out perfectly. We've baked other things in it. I'm very pleased. When we're done, it stores easily in my pantry. If you're thinking of getting one, you won't regret it. (Hmm... that sounds like a prophesy.) I got this one with the window on top so I can see how the food is coming without lifting the lid and letting heat escape. I'm very pleased.

Roaster works nicely and turkey turned out great. However the Booklet doesn’t provide recipes for roasting turkey. I scanned the code that was to direct me to additional recipes on the website but it directed me to more products and never located recipes. I finally googled recipes using a Roaster and I found a recipe for using this roaster on YouTube that was good. It provided instructions on temperatures to use for first 30 minutes and adjust down for remaining time. I would recommend the roaster but disappointed with lack of turkey recipes and guidance. This is my second Roaster but a different brand. I do like this upgraded model. My previous roaster was almost 20 years old and the temperature knob broke off or I would have continued using it. It also had a timer and this model doesn’t. I used my the timer on my stove so no issue.

I just received my 24 quart SunVivi roaster and was looking forward to using it. I cleaned the pan and top before testing. I wanted to test the temperature control to see how accurate it was plus burn off any leftover chemicals etc., so I put 2 gallons of water in and turned it up to 350* F. It's good that I did because there was a plastic smell emanating for about 10-15 minutes, so there was something burning off, which I sort of expected. There was no mention of that in the manual that I could see. There were no instructions for a need to do this pre cook test or anything. After 3 hours I checked the water temperature and the highest it got was 211* F. So at least I knew how off the heat is and could make adjustments accordingly but this was a significant difference. After another hours I checked the temperature and it was reading the same 211-212* F. I shut it off and let it cool down. Dumped the water and you can see by the photos what I found. I thought initially the ring around the pan may have just been film from the water because it was right around the top of the water level, but after cleaning it, the coating in the pan was what was burned off and it was down to the Aluminum. (yes that is aluminum not stainless steel). Then looking at the inside of the cover you can also see where the metal coating was also burned away. So now at least I know what that smell was that was emanating from the unit. This product is very cheaply built. I was expecting something a little bit higher quality for spending $125 after tax for it. Lastly, there is a clip above the handle that you can use to rest the top in so you don't have to rest on the counter or find a place to put it down. It's a nice idea, but when you put the top in there, you can see the lid where it meets the clip bend the top from the weight of the lid. Not a big deal but just shows the quality of the product in my opinion. I have a feeling that most of these brands are similar in quality, but for me, I don't want the painted coating or aluminum getting in to my food when cooking with a product. Made in China of course so it should be expected to be of lesser quality, but still.... I returned the product today 9/14/24 which was the day after I tested it. I'm going to look at a different brand and see if there may be a better result. I would not buy this product though if I were you. Try something else.
