I purchased 3 of these LED string lights (1-97 ft and 2-27ft) to string along our backyard fence line as a replacement for another cheaper set that was disappointing. These lights are nice looking and excellent mood setters, plus the led style bulbs not only mean more efficiency and longer lasting, but also closely resemble the “classic” light bulbs’ feel. I gave this one star in remote control category because there is none included with this set so you only get one setting when you plug in right out of the box, the brightest. I instead plugged this to an outdoor Treatlife smart outlet ($25+ In Amazon), which allows me to control from the app with the rest of the lighting in our house, along with allowing us to add it to our home automation “scenes.” ONLY if you have a smart outlet or controller will you be able to manage the brightness for this string lights; Treatlife’s smart plug, with its integration with their app, allows me to set the brightness between 100% (illuminating the yard) to 18% (background lighting for mood setting) (see pictures for brightness difference) So far it has performed as it should. I only had an issue with a few bulbs that became defective after a few uses, but customer service promptly sent me the replacement for these (97ft pack only comes with 2 replacement bulbs and the 27ft only bring 1 replacement per pack). This brings me to my one and only concern; I am not sure if replacement bulbs for this specific string are sold separately, otherwise if and when the bulbs wear out, I will be stuck with an expensive extension cord. Strung these along my porch and they work great.Glow is warm against the white ceiling.Protected from wind & rain but our Florida heat can stress most string lights. These are going strong.Looking forward to October weather and well lit evenings.

UPDATE: after submitting my original review, the seller reached out and offered a replacement product. This was so appreciated that they stood by their product claims. The new lights look great! I hope they hold up this time. ORIGINAL: These looked beautiful for about a year but when I hung them this spring, one of the bulbs shattered while hanging them, leaving the entire strand useless. Not sure how they can say they are shatterproof when the bulbs are made of glass. Drop one on cement, I promise you it will still break. ... show more

The package arrived in a timely manner, pre Covid's bad delays. -The string is long enough to go around my patio and little ways down the walk, did not have to buy and plug together multiple sets. -The light color is good, not too blue, pretty close to incandescent. Probably 3000K, though I don't remember the specs right now. -the bulbs are clear and thin, pretty strong, did not break even when I banged them a bit during install -you can see the led chip when lit, its a little rectangle about the size and shape of a filament, so that did not bother me. -I bought the dimmer and remote bluetooth switch with it, which I recommend. I was able to plug it in the garage and keep the controller in the kitchen. There is no set-up, just plug the parts together. The bluetooth connection did not need to be established, and it has never kicked out. The receiver is in the garage with the plug, behind a brick wall from the controller and it still works. -the bulbs are strung together nicely on the main wire, does not look like a tangle of extra wires, like some of the strings that I also had looked at. -the main negative I have is the high failure rate of the bulbs. They give you 4 spares, two of which I had to use right out of the box. After 4 months, I have an additional 6 bulbs out, minus the 2 spares I had left, the string now has 4 dead bulbs. There better be spares, but I haven't started to search for them. ... show more

First, the bad. When I opened the box, the lights were tangled and took a bit of work to untangle. Packaging leaves a lot to be desired. After that, I bounced the lights off the patio several times trying to hang in the tree. No failures. The clips are useless for my application, but knew that going in. If stringing in open areas, this might be something to consider. Overall like the look and while my installation was unusual, they are performing well. ... show more
