I used the highest wattage output connection on the panel to recharge the battery pack I got bundled with this, I was on a 5 hour hike, when I returned it had not filled up one bar of the 280w battery.

This is just my backup to charge phones, laptops etc. I also have rechargeable batteries for flashlights. It DOES charge small items directly but it’s best to get some kind of li-ion storage device for quicker performance.

Meeting a competitive price point can be done without this sort of skimping on an easily corrected weak point that is fragile wires soldered to poorly attached controller that will fall apart with no way to put it back to a reliable product. During assembly, the controller is poorly soldered to too small wires and screwed to ballistic nylon by tiny screws with heads buried in the final product. When the panel falls, even a few inches, it detaches and super glue and tape seems the only way to get a use or two before it self destructs. The controller should be either more permanently incorporated or attached by union of a plug-in fitting since it can’t be screwed back in without completely taking out seams and re-sewing the nylon case. ... show more
