This is a nice sized fire pit, it arrived in good shape. My boyfriend put it together. (Would have been aggravating for me, but I could have figured it out.) It seemed easy enough for him to put together, took him about ten minutes. I was impressed with the size (which is what I was looking for) and it will be great for burning logs and sticks in the fall. It came with all the extras that others don't include (grill, grate cover and cloth cover, poker stick). (I looked at a lot of fire pits before ordering this one.)     • Nice looking and nice size
Overall I'm very pleased with my choice of fire pit. The reason I decided on this one was because it had the mesh cover and the additional grill piece that squarely sits on the inside ledge of the fire pit bowl. I was happy that it also came with a poker and a protective plastic cover for when not in use. My only complaint is that the mesh cover does not exactly line up with the fire pit bowl, so it is slightly lopsided. The assembly was actually very easy, just screws in bolts with nuts. However, I did try several times to make the mesh cover line up, and it just does not. I burned a bunch of dead wood that was laying around my yard, and the fire pit contained everything I needed to burn and it was easy to add more by lifting the mesh cover with the poker. I didn't actually use the grill bit on that burn but look forward to it on the next one! ... show more

I bought this and it arrived 2 days early!! I would give it a 5 star but I feel if I have to improve the product it can't be 5 star. First, buy 2 cans of Rustoleum fire treated paint its $15 and what a huge difference to the look of the fire pit. Thank the person who wrote a review prior to mine, I am so glad I bought better paint. Another "upgrade" The cooking grates are for a Weber grill 19.5" x 12(ish)" They fit perfectly and they cost $15 for 2 of them. I called the company and they were extremely helpful and very quick with answers to the size of the grate. The grate it comes with is fine I just wanted more cooking space. Also I am using their grate to help keep the wood off the bottom of the pit. So well worth the extra $15!! The pit has a rail that wraps around the lower section this comes together easily and very simple to install. I did notice that once the paint wore alittle on the fittings for this rail, the pit became less sturdy and the rail sections were not holding together all the way and it was also not attractive. To fix this I drilled a hole in 1 of the fitted sections and installed a small bolt through both pieces, a counter pin would even work, but it seemed to do the trick and is alot sturdier now. I did this when the pit was assembled and it was kind of a pain since its a round rail and not flat, hard to start the hole. So, I would install that bolt before assembling the pit where you can clamp down the pieces and or use a punch to start your hole and of course file and paint the completed fitting. Overall for the money the product is good. I just wanted to share few easy things to make it better and still be extremely affordable. You want a great pit go spend $500 but for $120 plus $30 for extras and little time so worth it!!! ... show more

I needed to replace my old rusty firepit and look for weeks to find one that wasn’t like all the other removable top screen designs. The side access screen on this adds a great design character to seperate it from all the others. I don’t need to worry about my dog getting a hold of it and thinking it’s a toy because this is all attached. The hinge design is perfect and solid. Very well designed. The outside bar is perfect for moving and resting the stoker (or marshmallow sticks or, or, or, ) and the flip-up screen door makes stoking very easy without having to remove the entire screen from the firebox.     • Some like it hot in an open fire pit
I liked the size. It is better fitting than our old fire box. It went together easily. It appears to be sound enough for a free standing fire grill. Nice grilling features. there are two things I do not care for. There is no fire grate, so I made one to get the wood off the bottom. There is no drain. Even with a nice cover it is bound to get water in it. Also There is no insulation on the bottom. Most do not, but I coated it with a layer of fire brick cement to help prolong the life of the fire box under heat and rain water. I learned a few things. I would buy it again and still make the same changes I listed above. ... show more
