I love this machine! But, I decided to update my review to describe a problem and report the solution. The pulley wheels became damaged after a few months of use (the rubbery black material flaked off, see first two photos) and the machine became noisy. (It did still work, however). This is an issue that others have written about. I had several exchanges with the company and was told I had to buy the part (it was past warranty) but it was not available for many months, probably because of supply chain issues. That was fine, because the machine worked; it was just noisy. Today I received the new wheels and they are a different material! It's a hard white plastic/nylon (see third photo) instead of the black rubber. They were easy to replace (with allen and socket wrenches) and now it is quiet again! I assume that Sunny changed the material because of the reports of the black wheels breaking down. I'm writing this now to let people know that, if their CardioClimber has this problem, it can be fixed. The wheels cost only $18 per set plus $10 shipping. Customer service was great, by the way. Otherwise, here is my previous positive review. I do still love the machine. Our space is limited (a small alcove off the dining room) and it is perfect for that. It is more challenging than a regular elliptical because it has a climbing component (however, this does mean that the horizontal range of motion feels shorter than you might expect with an elliptical; it doesn't bother me at all because I wanted the climbing feature). The 8 resistance settings are very useful...I often do intervals and ramp up the resistance, alternating with easier settings. It had a couple of minor defects (that didn't prevent its use) and I was able to easily reach the company by phone and email and they are mailing parts, though shipping is delayed, probably due to demand during the pandemic. I recommended this to a friend and she loves it, too. Also, it feels very sturdy and well made and putting it together was quite easy. Directions are clear and all parts are packaged and well-labeled. It's very quiet so I can listen to podcasts or music, or watch the iPad, while using it with no distraction at all. While it is heavy, which is necessary for it to be as sturdy as it is, the wheels are convenient for moving it when needed. -Assembly I purchased the Sunny Health & Fitness Performance Cardio Climber - SF-E3911 on August 22nd, 2020. It arrived in excellent condition, with no damages. Assembly was straight forward, and all the tools necessary were included. Assembly took approximately 30 minutes. The most time-consuming aspect was unpacking the climber; it was packed remarkably well. -Use I have climbed approximately 60 miles on level six since the unit’s delivery. I am a naturally thin person; however, I do have some unwelcome belly fat. Impressively, I have noticed a considerable reduction in said belly fat within the very short time that I have owned the machine—translating to about a 1/3 to ½ reduction in fat, over the one and a half weeks of ownership. Additionally, it is important to note; I have not changed my diet or exercise behaviors. The fat reduction is the sole result of using the elliptical. I have ordered other exercise equipment, that with which, I plan to use in tandems with this elliptical. But for the purpose of this review, the elliptical has been beyond expectation. -Likes * Assemblage was a complete breeze, and I have had no issues operating the unit. * I am 6ft tall and the unit operates just fine with my height. * The results from the workout are undeniable. * The workout is extremely intense, relative to the price of the unit. * The unit is not jerky during use. I am 140 lbs. -Dislikes * I am not sure if the unit were designed to work in a reverse direction; when I exercise in reverse, the unit makes a different noise. * I wish the unit had a greater horizontal stride in addition to its vertical climb. First and foremost, it's great for the price. And they're not trying to sell you some trash monthly service thank gosh. That being said - they have a fatal flaw: the pulley wheels which the foot pedals ride on wear down and begin to grind - there's a ton of reviews on this. I've had this model for about 6 months, I've got maybe 20 total hours on the machine, I'm under the weight limit, and one of the pulley wheels is already grinding. I previous had a lower model (SF-E3914) and it lasted me about 2 years before it finally died, which is fair given the price. On the positive side, if you contact Sunny Health and Fitness and are patient enough, they will sell you new pulley wheels for around $10/ea, so they're not gouging you on price. But it will take ~2 weeks and the new wheels will wear down in a matter of weeks to months as well. I believe they're cast polyurethane, and they're not of the best quality: eventually they'll grind down to the point where you hit an air bubble, then you'll have a terrible banging noise every rotation. There is one more fix that worked great for me: go to (Xometry, Hubs, iMaterialize etc.) 3D printing service and order 3D printed replacement wheels. I ordered a set of SLS nylon pulley wheels for about $15/ea and they lasted me over a year on the last machine. I might update this review with a Thingiverse link to an stl for replacement pulley wheels. Dear Sunny Health and Fitness. Have someone from your engineering or manufacturing department contact me.     • DO NOT BUY! Defective Parts!!!
Purchased this Elliptical in December 2020 based on all of the positive reviews on Amazon. Assembly was fairly easy and didn't take too long. Worked fine for a few weeks and then a loud clacking sound started. Called Sunny and they told me that I would have to take a video of the machine in action so they could "hear" the sound. I emailed the video and called them back. They said it was the small pulley wheel on the right side and they could send a replacement part for free, however, it could take 2 weeks or more to receive the part. When they told me it was the pulley wheel on the right side, I looked at it and noticed there was a large chip in the wheel which may be causing the sound. I agreed to have them send the part and waited about 3 weeks for it to arrive. Once the part arrived, I replaced it easily and all was good for a few more weeks. And guess what! The other pulley wheel on the left side chipped and started making that same noise. I now cannot receive replacement parts for free because I am past 90 days and refuse to pay for an issue that is not caused by defective parts. I went back and read reviews after January 2021 noticed that other Amazon customers had the same issue I was having with strange noises (loud clacking or squeaking) quickly after purchasing this machine. Now I have to live with this clacking sound (and new squeaking by the way) and there is no way to fix it unless you keep asking for replacement pulley wheels. Also, the replacement pulley wheel they sent has a chip in it, too. Definitely do not recommend purchasing this machine. Sunny is allowing defective parts to be used on their equipment and that is unacceptable. Complete waste of money. ... show more

To my experience, I got the package prestine and well secured. I assembled it easier with my personal tools and came out pretty sturdy than expected. What I like about this is the mechanics is a bit similar to bowflex M3 series but smaller and quiet that perfectly fits my apartment. I took some picture about the joint where most people compained it broke, which I dont see that coming from my unit, it does not swivel as well on my wooden floors where there is a level adjustment as shown in picture. The resistance also pretty good in which I stay at level 3 or 4 and enough to burn my quads and gluts. These are my concern upon reading the reviews before purchasing it but I stand corrected. Iconfidently say its a great personal elliptical/stepper perhaps the best in its price range. Update: 10/6/22 So far the machine is great except the battery operated screen/timer. It makes an annoying sound and you cant turn it off unless you take off the batteries. A simple on/off button could have helped. ... show more

Purchased this piece of cardio equipment after a very positive experience with other Sunny products. It is affordable, fairly easy to assemble (but recommend two people), quiet, and sturdy. It is not high tech. Instead you simply dial up and down to vary the resistance. There is a dashboard to track time, distance, heart rate, etc. We could never get the heart rate monitor to work, but that was not a problem for me. If that is very important to you, be warned! This equipment reminds me of the stair climber I used at the gym pre-Covid, which is what I was looking for. I was concerned that the range of motion would be limited but it is quite good and feels comfortable. Within a few minutes you will be breaking a sweat and breathing hard—it’s an excellent cardio, low impact workout! When I use this machine I put on a YouTube video of running through the wilderness or parks and it makes for a pleasant workout experience. ... show more

Lets be real. You always get what you pay for. Compared to a bowflex or proform, this is a great price. I bought this like most people, wanting to lose some weight, but maybe not %100 sure I was gonna stick with it. Got it assembled and set to work. The Electronics on it are really lacking compared to the counterparts that cost 3x+, but I didn't mind. What I didn't care for was durability. About 3 months in, using it for about an hour a day, 6 days a week, the wheels that glide on the rails, started coming apart. The were pitting really bad. Contacted support and under warranty they told me they'd replace them. It took FOREVER to receive new ones and in the mean time I tried using the machine anyways , but I think the vibrations were causing knee pain. Anyways, got the new wheels, and all was good, for a bit, but then the squeaking and creaking kicked in. Really annoying. Didn't matter what I tried tightening or greasing, the noises persist, whatever I turned up the volume and try to drown it out. But then, about 10 1/2 months in one of the arms that the pedals attaches to straight up split. The tube split a cross from where there were some side plates that were clearly poorly welded. Customer service tells me that parts only have 180 warranty and this crucial piece is a part and not considered "frame" and therefore is out of warranty. On top of that they told me they couldn't give me a price to replace, cause there is no stock or ETA on the piece. Btw I am well under the advertised weight limit of the machine.. So bottom line if you're committed to losing weight and plan to really, truly use this everyday, I'd stay away from this one. Save the frustration and just spend the $for the quality. first, the packing. excellent. it took an hour just to get out of the packaging. second, the instructions for assembly are some of the best ever, if not THE best. whoever designed and wrote the assembly instructions definitely knows what he or she is doing. Just be sure to follow the instructions step by step to avoid messing it up. Third, the quality of the equipment: excellent. The quality of every piece of the elliptical is good quality and sturdy. Any worries that this machine will wear out with some hard workouts is without foundation. If you want a good elliptical that you an assemble yourself and not worry about the quality, this is it. also, take a close look at this elliptical before settling on something more expensive...you would just be wasting your money.
