This ceiling fan is going to work out for anyone that needs something that's both affordable, but also as functional as more expensive ones. It has sort of a minimalist look to it, which is perfectly fine. But the important thing to note are the variety of features it has. The main feature that makes it stand out from the cheaper ceiling fans is that you have different types of lighting available. Whereas older, traditional ceiling fans just have one type of lighting (on or off), this one has various "temperatures" of lighting. Which means you can adjust the light so that it's a "cold" white light. Or a soft warm light, which is the more "golden" look. This really allows you to change the vibe and ambiance of a room, based on what the room is used for, or the mood you're trying to create in it. The other notable feature is that it can circulate air throughout the room in two ways. If it's summer time and hot, you can run the ceiling fan as you normally would, and it cools things off. But if it's winter time, you can switch up the directional flow of the ceiling fan. And that pushes warmer air throughout the room. Which means to you that the traditional old-school ceiling fans that never get used in the winter, you can forget about those and use this one year-round. Low-priced fan, but for what you're going to pay for it, it's decent. You shouldn't have much trouble in having it installed if you've ever had to replace a ceiling fan before. Good features, nice appearance, and all at a price that's a bit easier on your bank account than most ceiling fans in this style.

RECOMMENDATION: Thumbs Up – The fan looks modern and fits smaller spaces THE GOOD: 1. The built-in light is reasonably bright and is dimmable. The light temp can also be set from warm to cold which is great to match whatever you are already using in your installation location. 2. The fan construction is pretty solid and does well without a lot of shaking even on the high settings. 3. The fan is very reasonably priced for what it provides. The styling is modern and good looking. 4. The blades are reversible, so you can go all black or go with wood grain. 5. You can control the fan and lighting with the included remote. 6. The light is built-in to the fan, so no need for bulbs. 7. Installation is pretty standard for a ceiling fan. If you need to put it into a location where you don’t have an existing electrical box, you can use a pancake box that you screw into a ceiling beam or 2x4. Just remember that you will want to cut out a circle into the drywall where the pancake box will be mounted. Then run an external line to the nearest outlet. This is what I did for my mounting. THE BAD: 1. Nothing so far. Great fan and good looks.

I'll admit this fan had some challenges during installation. It took me about three hours as the room I installed it in had a drywall ceiling with no backing board for support. I ended up having to climb into the attic to install a plywood panel to give me something to mount the fan's support bracket to. After that, the installation was mostly trouble free. The instructions include information for mounting the fan to wood or concrete and fasteners for both materials. The assembly of the fan itself was pretty straightforward and the instructions were easy to understand. There is a screw-down terminal block for wiring into your home's wiring, and that really was the only issue, as the fan's existing wiring was stuck into the terminal block too far, which prevented me from fitting my house wiring completely into the block. Loosening the screws that hold the fan's wiring and pulling them out a bit solved the problem, so that was a minor issue. As far as performance is concerned, the fan provides decent airflow and operates very quietly. It has several levels for fan speed and light output. The fan rotation can be reversed, and there are three color temperatures that can be selected depending on how bright white, or warm you prefer the light to be. Overall, I am quite happy with this fan; it keeps me cool without being intrusive by making much noise. You should be pretty handy with mechanical and electrical installation or hire a pro to do it for you. This is not a seriously hard installation but it does have a moderate level of complexity.

This is a good affordable fan for us. We had professionals install, so I can’t speak to how easy/hard installation was. However, we have noticed our electric bill was lower- its energy efficient. It also has 3 lighting offers, depending on your mood. The fan itself is very quiet, and has the option to reverse the direction depending on the time of year. The style is basic, but that’s what you get with a fan for under $100.
