We purchased this pergola in Oct 2020 and stored it in the box in our garage until we were ready to assembly it in Feb 2021. My husband and I were able to put it together without issue. It's beautiful and modern, exactly what we wanted for our space. However, two months later it's dripping rusty water on our concrete patio and the patio furniture. We haven't put the white canvas on it yet, so maybe that would reduce the amount of water going into the structure but the canvas isn't waterproof so it won't prevent it entirely. Now we're worried that when we do put the canvas on, it will get rust stained as well. My husband thinks it's unusable and he's ready to get rid of it. I'm going to try to figure out where the water is coming in and salvage it. Unfortunately I would advise against purchasing this pergola. ... show more

Not a single piece was unscratched or did not have a dent. The most frustrating part was after assembling for 3 hours straight ( the back portion which definitely needs more than 2 people to make it easy), we came across this pillar which was so pressed together that we couldnt have assembled any further without waiting for either replacement or returning the whole item. Now returning is almost impossible due to size and weight and waiting for replacement wasnt an option as we couldnt have kept the back supported for days. So either disassemble the entire thing and wait or somehow make it work. We tried to wrench it open and insert the piece that will go in this with hammer. No idea if we would ever be able to open it if needed. Now coming to good parts: the assembly is pretty straightforward, just make sure everything aligns and it gets put together in smooth flow. The final piece looks amazing ! the whole look is unique due to back slat walls and the black metal gives it a nice touch. The top shade screen is also good quality and almost holds off light rain too. ... show more

We quickly turned our standard deck into a resort-style outdoor space. The style is eye catching with clean lines and a modern look. Our deck faces west and the slat wall on the back side provides some nice block from the sun. The canopy is heavy duty and appears it will stand up to the elements for a long time. The pergola was fairly easy to assemble. Every part was clearly labeled making it easy to find the part you needed. The instruction manual was also easy to follow. You definitely need a few sets of hands during the building process and a couple of ladders. Our box arrived pretty beat up from transportation and we discovered that one of the corner posts was damaged. Sunjoy took care of it quickly and sent us a replacement part.     • Beautiful pergola but beware of rust
This has been a beautiful addition to our yard. We had it for a full summer. Easy to assemble, however ours was sent with bent parts. We did not realize it until we got to the very end of assembly so of course we didn’t want to send back. We can make do with the bent part but water gets into the pergola when it rains and of course it rust and drips all over your patio furniture. My rug and furniture have all been damaged due to the rust. I’m trying to get one more year out if it…but I would not purchase this product again! ... show more

Package arrived with sturdy package and a very easy to follow installation instruction, and with extra accessories pack. It took me any my daughter half day to get it done. The metal material covered with durable paint, looks heavy but still easy to install. I was worry about how to nail the posts to the ground but when it was done it could stand on the concrete ground pretty stable, shake it and felt heavy. It feels way more durable than wooden pieces. Looks very nice in our back yard for grapes vines and climbing roses. Very modern and elegant style! 100% recommend! ... show more

I really like this pergola. Its beautiful and the quality is good for the price. We had a really bad windy day after I installed the pergola and it was firm during the storm. Only the instructions to assembly could be improved because sometimes it's a little confuse but I strongly recommend.
