Great subwoofers. I run 2 in a sedan on 1600 watts. They are loud and power hungry. Even on 1600w there is no clipping.

Great sub, huge sound for a 500 watt sub, but I wish I would have went 1 or 2 steps higher grade. Spend the extra cash and get the next best model.

I have a JL 1000 and I’ve been running JL w3 12’s on it for the last few years. I got tired of blowing subs and paying $240 to replace them so I decided to try these E-12s and I have to say that these really impress me. They hit a lot harder than the w3’s and for a fraction of the price. You won’t regret buying these subs. ... show more

    • Disappointing and poor customer service
I purchased these sundown subs hoping they would live up to my expectations based on my previous experience with other sundown subs. Upon installation and initial playing they were getting warm on half volume. I double checked my wiring and everything checked out. I played the subs for another 30 seconds or so and they smelled like burnt coil. I removed the subs immediately and checked the coils, they were fried. I contacted woofersetc. and sundown about my issue, and they said they were under warranty based on my description. After returning my subs to sundown, they tell me that voice coils are not under warranty and that I would have to purchase new subs. I contacted woofersetc. and after a few emails back and forth about my return, they stopped responding. I'm at a loss for words because I used to enjoy sundown products. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing any more sundown audio products or from woofersetc. in the future. ... show more

I bought this not really knowing what to expect. Ive never personally owned a system before, but I've heard many and been around a lot. For the price of this guy I was a little leary but the other reviews motivated me to go ahead and try. I would put this up against any box store 12 or even 15. When I tell this speaker hits, I mean it. I have it set up parallel to a 1000w mono block Rockville. That ported Q-Bomb box is the right square footage and tune for the speaker as well. This thing bangs and I feel I'm still not giving it all it wants. If you're on the fence about this or any Sundown speaker at this point I'm a sold customer. ... show more
